Now That I am finally rooted, I want to ask my fellow Note 3 users what are some awesome Root apps to install?
I already have and know the basics like greenify, titanium back up, es explorer and some others. But, I'm wondering if there is anything like S-Pen apps? I am probably going to install Xposed framework, since I loved using it on my GNEX.
I have yet to try any roms out yet, but Hyperdrive or beans looks like it is going to be one of the first I try. Those seem to have a nice mix of customs options in it, while also being bug free.

I'd check out beans first. I've tried every rom out there and its the only one so far that I havent had wifi issues with. Search S-pen in the store and search a bit. You'll find some cool ones.

I don't know much about safestrap unfortunately. If you use the forum search and type in MDOB it will pop up. Another ROM by iB4STid is GoldenEye. They work super great. Your gonna have to search around for safestrap I don't think its ROM specific.
Safestrap is still new to are S4 but so far most of the roms that MDL are using can be used with Safestrap as well as a few of the "other carrier" roms .as long as u flash the MF3 kernel module zip that you should flash after any rom u decide to use.as always read the Safestrap threads for more details. Don't use the adblocker called adblock for it. You can check it out at adblock.org. it works great but you can't send any MMS when you install it and it's a pain to get MMS to work again afterwards.

Sixaxis Controller is an amazing app for any gamer. It allows you to sync a Sixaxis controller (PS3 Dual Shock 3) via bluetooth rather than having to connect it directly into your device with an OTG cable.
This is awesome because you can use the controller wirelessly and use an MHL 2.0 adapter to play on the bigscreen. Sixaxis Controller also allows you to emulate touch and create your own profiles for each individual controller button. Making games that aren't compatible with controller's work. (Modern Combat 4, Order & Chaos, Ravensword, etc.) You can find game mapping here on XDA for the app.
Greenify is great for saving battery life and keeping your phone nice and speedy. It disallows apps you choose to run in the background uncontrolled; definitely an app for any rooted user!
If you flashed your kernel as well I'd recommend Trickster Mod, It's a pretty generic tweaker. The built in profiles can help tremendously in saving battery life, and game performance for helping with frame rate issues (though the S4 shouldn't have any). Depending on your kernel you can also use the tool to OC (Overclock) your CPU, GPU, and voltages. But be very careful if you decide to do any OC'ing, as it could brick your device.
Titanium Backup is great for uninstalling any bloatware you may have on your OS (if you're using stock TW that's rooted). You can also make backups of your system for recoveries. The pro version offers a lot more good features, if you want to pay for it.
Root Browser is a nice neat file manager for rooted users. It has built is ROM features as well as being able to deal with opening and zipping .jar, .zip, .apk, etc. It's really nifty.
I have never rooted and am scared to do so but I really want and need the ability to use more apps in the multi-window setting. Is there a simple/basic root for me as I don't really care about any other features that rooting brings to the table?

Sorry, like I said I'm a total rookie at rooting a device and most of the threads I've seen just don't make sense to me. In fact it took a little while for me to figure out how to even extract the files needed to root the device. I ended up downloading an extraction program to my PC. It was free and did a great job!

You've got to read the pages about universal root de la vega, that's how i managed to root my note 10.1 2014, and the result is very good. You should succeed in doing that cause i achieved to do it without being a native english speaker. After having root your device you can enable all the apps working with multi windows by using Wanam Xposed and multi window manager. You can use Gmd gesture as well, it's very useful to get all the ipad like gestures on the note. Good luck! (If you've got a pc with windows 7 you should install Cygwin64 Terminal to "make" your personal Rooted firmware).

Well I rooted using the link that I provided and then I downloaded the app MW app manager by Xperiacle from the play store since it was made for Samsung devices. All is running well to my knowledge.
Very Good! But i do think that it's a nonsens for Samsung to forbid the use of all the apps in multi windows when it works perfectly well with a mod... I just don't understand them!...

This.
Multi-window is what really sets the Samsung Notes apart as productivity devices, being able to extend the apps that run under multi-window was my main reason for routing. There are a couple of apps that I use that aren't at the best in multi-window, but they still work for my needs, I don't need nannying!

They need to be careful because Windows 8.1 tablets do it perfectly on all apps out of the box. And for non rooting people who are looking for ease this just ain't easy.
Besides why start with the walled garden effect of Apple by preventing things that could/should work to just the rooters/jailbreakers!
I've heard that rooting this device irreversibly voids your warranty even if you go back to stock and you will no longer receive updates from Samsung. Is this true?

Yes, and no. Yes, rooting will void your warranty. It will activate the Knox counter. However, after rooting, flash stock recovery. Be sure to update to the latest firmware before rooting. Updating may cause you to loose root. Be sure to freeze, not delete Knox apps after rooting. The update may look for those. There are a lot of differing opinions on this.

Ok now I'm second guessing myself on rooting my Note. Can someone please post a link so that I can unroot it? LOL
My desire at this point is to unroot and factory reset and setup as a new tablet. I do not like the fact that it will not update. Yes I knew this going in so I'm not complaining I'm just changing my mind.
The only reason that I rooted was to get 3-4 apps on multi-window that do not currently work on multi-window. The root process did fix that for me but I just don't believe it to be worth it in the long run so if possible I wish to undo what I've done.
Dupe Post Sorry!
Mickey, First I would try to install OTA Rootkeeper, backup root and then do a temp unroot. See if this allows you to update. If so, then restore root after the update.
OK, nix that - OTA Rootkeeper is not 4.3 compatible due to security changes.
Have a look here and use ODIN to flash back to stock. http://www.tsar3000.com/Joomla/inde...sing-odin3-program&catid=57:how-to&Itemid=104 This will wipe all data on your tablet. Be sure to use an app like MyBackup to back up your apps and data: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rerware.android.MyBackup It is free for 30 days and works well.

Going back won't fix warranty problem, it's now done, cannot change the counter. I'd say not to worry about updates. When update is available, there will be many helpful posts here for rooted devices. I got the tablet on October 1st, rooted on first day root was available. And I updated it after that when Samsung released 3rd update.
I want to get a list of root methods people have tried and which ones have been successful.
Kingo Root seems to be the most discussed method, but various reports have raised questions about whether it steals data. Looks as though the official policy on XDA is that it's in limbo until deemed safe:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47111019&postcount=65
Someone else suggested OneClickRoot.com:
http://www.oneclickroot.com/phone/lg-g-pad-8-3/
This method is widely used and from my research, considered safe by most people, but I don't know if anybody has used it successfully on a G Pad.
Please report in this thread what method you've tried and what worked.

I think the two apps are pretty similar. I read reviews that said that SuperSU was better for later versions of Android and Superuser was better for older versions. I've been using SuperSU on my phone for a while, so I'm more familiar with it. Probably doesn't matter much which one you use.
As far as switching the apps, just uninstall Superuser and install SuperSU.

You can use SuperSU and there's nothing wrong with that but there's also nothing wrong with Superuser.
It works fine for new versions of Android, in fact it is what is built into CM11.
I think people are confusing the Superuser I included with the old Superuser made by ChainsDD. I included Superuser by Koush/Clockwork Mod because it is open source and used by CyanogenMod.
When it comes to an app that is so important to maintaining security then I stick with open source.

in the pic here, all that gobbledeegook speek where your normal "?about phone" should be , tells you this is a vzw note 3, Nc4 stock rooted, ported to T-Mobile Lte , "G" edition (S5 ported) on non-user-ship (non-stock) kernel.
or basically,
using a verizon note 3 as a T-mobile Samsung Galaxy S5, with all of its features, save the one~~ it's not waterproof. , which of course , is in that thread i linked
so there's a;lot you can do with your phone, as it may seem too complicated now, you may want to stick to simpler mods that you can download from google play store, like a different boot animation, meaning to say that instead of the huge red logo you see when you initially turn on yo0ur phone, you can change it to supermario running accross the screen, or that green matrix i/o screen. they may have added more by now, its up to you if that is something you may ne interested int there, or at least its a place to start.as you can see, perhaps a more correct assumption would be to say you cant run touchwiz and another launcher, say Google NOW...... at the same time.
Well, this was originally longer but the forum decided to post limit me because I am new. If you want a Google type experience, you might want to try the Google Experience Launcher (can be side loaded, but won't install from play store). I use this with Xgels and am very happy with the results.
Hello world.
I'm on stock rooted OF1 Lolly and hoping maybe deodexing may allow for theming and xposed.
Some site stated the app 3C toolbox V1.2.1 can deodex but option didn't appear in the app on my phone like it did on the instructions.
I'm scared to "remove ALL ODEX Files" with Lucky Patcher. Boy do I seriously miss xposed.
Another solution (I hope)would be to create a .tar file from this deodexed rom .zip file to use with odin.

I have tried with software "peazip" but much like my life, IT has failed.
I'm looking for the exact same thing.. no luck at all. I finally got my Verizon note 3 OF1 rooted and much to my dissapointment I can't use exposed. I'm still looking. This phone is still fast and awesome and exposed would let me tweak it exactly how I wanted.

So.. What's the big deal.. Jasmine v6.1 is based on OF1 and exposed runs fine on it.. It even comes as part of it.
Also supports theme'ing
