Hi,
I've followed that procedure to get back from 4.4.2 to 4.2.2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51361247
At the end my phone has rebooted and is since then stuck in a bootloop... Would you have any idea how to get out of that sh*t ?

Hey All,
I flashed Jamal's Google Edition ROM, but now i wanted to go back to stock touchwiz rom.
So i downloaded official firmware from sammobile and flashed it trough odin.
It succeeded and started to boot
But then every app started crashing and the phone kept telling me this and that ended.
So i Flashed it again, only this time it got stuck on system.img.ext4
it wouldn't go passed it...
So after 10-15mins waiting i just unplugged and tried to flash again, but it keeps getting stuck on system.img.ext4
Any help is much appreciated!!!

You should have done a data factory reset after the first flash bro, that would have solved it. Can you still get into recovery and wipe the caches and do a data factory reset?

Do you have a jig to get into downloadmode? If not, pull the battery and try after a few minutes (5-10) reinserting the battery and you might try again.

Try this mate , boot into recovery do a factory reset/Wipe cache and then reboot and Quickly press and hold power+Voldown in order to boot into downloadmode , Flash the stock rom and once its done... the phone should reboot automatically , and then Hold and press Power+VolumeUP that should boot your phone into recovery mode... Now do a factory reset/wipe cache and reboot your phone.. .Before the initial setup, Just dont do anything to your phone for atleast 4 to 5 minutes, Let it settle and then proceed with the initial setup.

Hello,
Yes I have tried that. I can not do a factory reset either is there another fix? I forgot to say that in my first post.
With Thanks,

I had a similar issue. It happened after an OTA forced an update.
To get out of it, I went to a linux machine with ADB. I booted the phone into recovery (which was the only place I could get too) and pushed CM11 to it. Flashed it using clockwork and the phone came back.

It doesnt hurt to contact tier 2 tech support from your telecom provider.
try to use this procedure http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
or this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2505785
i tried flashing the stock firmware using odin but it gives me bootloop
I am using I9505XXUHOD7/I9505EVRHOD1/I9505XXUHOD7/I9505XXUHOD7
Samsung galaxy s4 5.0.1 EE
Obviously you did something wrong.
Custom roms don't count as official software updates/upgrade. Meaning that it won't lock your phone to that particular android version.
Remember to wipe before flashing.
i forgot to do this before but I just wiped and tried again and still get bootloops
EDIT: thank you bro im just not patient and it worked
What did you do? I have the same problem. I'm on a bootloop. please give me step by step instructions. Thanks. I have i9505 from Philippines on globe telecom network.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, whenever I install Custom ROMs I get nervous during the initial boot (hoping its not going to be a bootloop) hahaha.
Nowadays I literally get a timer out and countdown 15 minutes (15 minutes out of personal experience is ample.....)
If I don't get that "optimizing app x of xxx" message by then, thats when I retrace my steps to look for errors.
I guess all I can say for all you guys above is..... don't forget to do a nandroid backup!!
