No, Its safe.
Nothing will happen
i just recommend to wipe/factory data reset & wipe cache partion
then you flash the rom
No need to wipe data actually. Dirty flash should work. Or wipe /system /cache /dalvic cache

since it is not a wipe package, flashing via odin does not wipe your personnel data and apps. just do a factory reset after flashing to have a fresh firmware

Hello everyone,
I live in Israel, and recently I got a KitKat update for my N900.
At first, everything was OK, but now, I can see the system stutters from time to time.
I have tried to clear cache but it didn't solve the problem.
I'm not rooted, and on 4.4.2 KitKat, baseband version : N900xxudnb1
build number: N900xxudnc1.
Formatting the phone is not an option for me while I can't backup any app data...
Will appreciate any help!

if you just update from 4.3, AFAIK, factory reset from stock recovery is the best .
but since you don't want to do that, I have no idea.

Thx for the quick reply!
No other way? The app data is really important to me, and it will be much easier for me not to factory reset...

Does anyone know of another solution?

Hi guys,
I have a Nexus 5 with Slimkat 4.0 currently installed and want to upgrade to Slimkat 5.0.
Recovery is latest TWRP.
Do I have to backup with titanium and do a total wipe of the device or shall I only wipe cache and Dalvik and Flash the ROM + Gapps like it was the case on Slimbean?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers.
always do a backup, but you can dirty flash the rom. in case there is a problem you will need to do a full wipe

And wipe system too, cause there were changes in the gapps package. No need to wipe data though.

I've downloaded nougat beta and flashed it. It ran pretty well. Everything worked like a charm. After 2 or more hour of use suddenly network became out of order. It says emergency calls only. Tried wipe data & cache. Please help me. XSG was my code before now it's BTU. Please help me....

Flash back marshmallow firmware.
Expect issues when using beta otherwise go back to stable firmware.
Also don't spam/repost. Maybe mod should clean this up...

You can try just flashing the radio file through Odin.
The radio file is the one named CP.
Edit_ Have you seen in -About device- software info- that the phone recognize the baseband version?
Or does it say unknown?

I came from xsg too. When i flashed mine today i flashed all 4 files . Bl.ap.cp.and csc. No network error till now. But i also did a clean flash. So i wiped everything before i flashed nougat.
Actually I discovered that somehow my sim card got killed. I replaced the sim & ok to rock. so I will wait unless nougat gets official.
