Hey guys, ever since I've installed Android 4.3, stock and custom, I'm not getting any sound.
Not through my earphones or through my speaker.
I've re flashed this phone like six times in two days because it wouldn't boot at all after first flashing 4.3.
Any help is much appreciated.

The only way to fix this as far as I know is to flash the complete official firmware package via Odin. Then you can proceed to install a custom 4.3 ROM but you may have issues if you use a pre-KNOX firmware.

That's what I did. I flashed stock 4.2.2 and then installed CarHDROM 7.1

You may need to flash stock 4.3 full firmware (sadly you will get the KNOX bootloader) to resolve this.

Yep. This exactly what happened to me. Lost sound and wifi. Had to flash latest leaked version 4.3 Via odin, then root it via odin, install titanium backup , delete all that knox ****, install custom recovery, then you can really start playing with your phone.. eg.. custom roms, kernels etc.. hope this helps
Similar Problem!
Hi, I'm having similar problems I have no sound at all coming from the device, I've read most threads that say no sound on the heading for I9505 and for many people flashing I9505XXUDMH8_I9505OXXDMHA_I9505XXUDMH8_HOME.tar resolved the problem but not in my case.
Last night I tried flashing I9505XXUEMI8_I9505OXAEMI8_I9505XXUEMI8 and after I changed the kernel I got some sound when turning the volume up and down but the phone was running very slow.
Today I tried flashing Omega rom v15 flashing the right modem for the new bootloader before flashing the zip and no sound, I tried changing the kernel, still nothing.
So now I'm in build number XXUEMJ9 and baseband MJ5.
I've also tried flashing stock with a pit file but didn't make a difference!
Thanks!
I've fixed the problem by flashing 4.2.2 stock and have been using it since.
Just rooted my phone. All other ROMs just don't work

Hey peeps.
Having a small issue,
So I decided to go back to stock, I download the latest firmware from Sam firmware.
After flashing the firmware I go into the stock recovery to clear cache and wipe data factory reset. I then setup my phone like I would and after checking the status it says that it's custom.
Some background info - I was using a AOSP ROM before flashing the stock firmware and had my SD card during the flashing process.
Anyone have issues like this? Or any solutions?
Thanks.

I had it after updating from German stock rom (DBT) to Xuenc2 (ETL). When I installed the Xuend rom, status came back to official.
So do I have to root and install a NB7 custom ROM before flashing the stock BTU NB7 firmware?

Try Traingle away app then after reseting the counter and binary to official boot directly to download mod then flash stock rom via odin. if didn't work factory reset your device and flash the rom one more time. Hope it helps

And get my partition and pictures etc deleted /:
i was on jb 4.2.2 stock and then via ota get the 4.4.2 stock.
then i rooted it via ioroot 25 and get recovery installed with autorec and flashed cloudyflex...if i will wipe and flash stockmod rom (jb 4.2.2) i will get a bootloop?lose root&twrp?or all will work fine?or flash kdz is the only way?thanks!

You would have to flash the jb baseband also.
I bought a s4 and it comes with version 4.4.2. Is it possible to downgrade back to 4.3???

Odin the 4.3 tar. Your data will be wiped when you flash the tar so backup what you need to hang onto first.

If son rise tool the ota to 4.4.2 or odined 4.4.2 then he CANNOT go back to 4.3 with using Odin.
Yea follow post number 2 if you want a $500.00 plastic brick.. lol
What if he installs a custom recovery then data wipes the phone stock ROM and Odin's the 4.3 tar ?
Where can I find this 4.3 tar. I look everywhere and most of the download links are dead

Did you even read what @daniel4653 & @Daisflaque posted? You CAN NOT revert back to 4.3 once your on 4.4
I recently unrooted my Note 4 following the process linked here http://galaxynote4root.com/galaxy-note-4-root/how-to-unroot-galaxy-note-4-with-stock-firmware/.
All seemed to go well until I booted the phone up and kept giving me error messages such as "com.android.phone has stopped working" dialogs and nfc service has stopped. I unrooted from stock firmware and downloaded a Germany stock firmware unroot file.
Any help would be appreciated.
May need to do a factory reset. Backup files and reset. Could Odin the firmware again for a clean slate.

If I unroot by flashing the stock firmware with Odin, does that revert my custom kernal with the stock kernal?
