I'll probably release a kernel for p51xx tonight!
I seen videos of Ubuntu running on the tab 2 but it seemed laggy in all of the videos. Is it to laggy to worry about it with a p3 113?
Try it yourself.
Also I have been busy lately so I havent't had time to compile P51xx version. If you want it, just wait.

is it a simply reboot back to android or reflash?
Reflash, but you cat flash it to recovery partition if you want = dual boot.

About dual boot, following the instructions from here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41583865&postcount=3
i just install ubuntu on second recovery, right ? If so, do i have to flash blackhawk kernel again, as the 1st guide says or not ?
Btw it would be nice if we could have Centos or Mint as distro options

Not working on my gt-P5110 (omap4430 version), I dont know if it comes from the rootFS or something else... I'll wait for the 51xx version, it boot, do something and restart

This is something I would be interested in digging into and seeing if I can get it to work with Arch Linux ARM (http://archlinuxarm.org/) instead of Ubuntu but like others here I do not have the USB OTG cable or the hub so it will have to wait for now. Awesome work though!
I have long been waiting for Ubuntu/Linux for my Gtab, but as of current I am lacking in the otg. But :good: to see progress being made!!
I have an OTG and I am aviable for testing on my p5110
Thank you for bringing native linux to GTab 2 I will be testing this build today

Yep, if it says so during boot
It decided to hijack the Win7 bootloader on my system and erased the option to boot into both Win7 and Linux.
I was really wanting to like it but as usual Microsoft always finds a way to piss me off. Plus they still managed to find a way to make it even less intuitive than before. eg. they added an extra two steps before you can even restart the computer
But anyways, it's formatted now and I don't plan on reinstalling it anytime soon...

It won't work. Although the hub is present, the board doesn't provide the usb with enough power fot otg to work.
To get otg working, you will have to edit vbus and voltage values. It is very dangerous as it can fry your usb and/or the entire SoC.
So i would recommend only experienced members to do it.!

USB OTG is a really good function. I would be great if SG S3 mini will support it. I think, a problem isn´t in a hardware, but in a software and a good custom kernell solve this problem. I hope, someone help us with this as soon as possible. Please, please, please .......

Does not work - won't boot.
it does work.. just takes a round about way to install
the flash.img is a newer build but wont boot.. black screen
the CWM zip is older and will boot but stuck at boot logo
so to install start with a functional ROM
download and flash CWM Recovery from here http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.ph...all-cwm-recovery-on-mk808mk808b/#.UijpSTY3s4c
take the CWM ota zip from the OP, find the install script, and delete the first line with the asserts
copy your modified CWM zip to the internal sdcard on your MK808
use the reboot app to restart to recovery, flash the CWM zip.
restart the device afterwards, and make sure you get the boot logo
take your MK808 and with the batchtool flash the newer flash.img from the OP
after this reconnect to your TV.. on first start it will most likely start in recovery, go ahead and factory reset
reboot and enjoy!
CM10.1 for RK3066 devices
Hi
I just installed CM10.1 Android 4.2.2 on my MK808B and it runs great.
It can work on any Rockchip TV Stick, you just have to install the right kernel for your device then wifi is working. There are also versions for RK3188.
Download link: 'h**p://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=1913'
Some improvements that would be great Maybe a rom developer can do it
1. Bluetooth support - I rekon it doesn't have all the bluetooth folders/files from system from the Rockchip stock roms, maybe this can be included.
2. Resolution - At the moment I can't find a setting to change the resolution eg. 720,1080p, can this be included.
3. The back button on the Mele Flymouse F10 doesn't work, you have to click back on the status bar. Maybe a keyboard layout file is missing.
4. Android keyboard - An Android keyboard doesn't popup, I only managed to use my hardware Mele keyboard for input.
5. Libstagefright Support - The libstagefright.so file from Rockchip. it looks like it's included but H/W+ in Mxplayer is scrambled.
6. Hardware Acceleration - I found one of the tweak apps included can enable it.
7. Developer settings in Settings Menu - This is not enabled at the moment.
8. Language - Change the default language to English instead of German. Can be done through build.prop file.
9. Build prop - Tweak it to improve performance of device.
If a rom developer can improve this rom it will be great, as it's so much better than the stock Rockchip roms.
Feature already included
CWM 6.0.1.5 recovery
- System ext4
- Internal Storage 2,5 GB
- PhabletUI & Multiuser
- Device spoofed as Nexus 7 [v1.2.3]
- Ethernet Support
- Init.d support
- USB-Hub enabled
- Gamepad (PS2, XBox, ...)
- Kernel modules (cifs, tun, lan, serial)
- latest hosts, su, su-binary, busybox
- MX Video-Player, Apollo & FX Sound
- Reboot Menu, CPU Tweaker, Pimp my Rom
- Dateimanager HD (Root)
- Trebuchet & Nova Launcher
Looks nice!
Does it work fine with Netflix? No scrambled videos?
Thanks!

should i flash Boot.img (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-to...ent/saucy-preinstalled-boot-armel+grouper.img) to bootloader of N7 !?!?
Or any other download link that contain boot.img or maybe thr s special thing to download and no one mentioned !!!
pls help

Really silly mistake :|
i just flashed both .zip as Add ROM in multiRom
while i should flash first saucy-preinstalled-armel+grouper as Add ROM
and then Flash .zip to it through list ROMs and Add .zip to it
anyway sorry for mistake
and thnks for who read my problem

Ther are two main points here- Ubuntu desktop is installable as standalond AND with multirom. The latter requires kexec. Ubuntu touch is installable as standalone, but not multirom at this moment. Tasssadar has stated he will be fixing the ubuntu touch install process in his next multirom release.
As a side note, Ubuntu desktop can indeed feel very rough to use, but an otg and your basic usb peripherals will make a huge difference.

You have an older version of Ubuntu touch installed. The newer will not install as is. Refer to this post by tasssadar.

Yes, that is for the old zip installables. The newer nightlies system are in tar.gz with a different structure, not currently supported by multirom. As I said, you are using the old developer preview.
Here are the newer nightlies link

" Nah, new Ubuntu touch images gonna need some work. TWRP 2.6 should come out sometime soon (one or two weeks), so I'm gonna do it all at once when it is out - merge 2.6 into my modified TWRP and add support for new Ubuntu touch."

Buy a second Note. Otherwise no. I don't think we have a kernel which supports dual boot at the moment.
There was a project, but I think its development is/has been stopped.

some time ago a dev made a Kernel Script which supports to have more than one Rom at the same time installed on our Note,
you could switch between them at booting
but unfortunately this time is over

Yes, most do.
However, it would be way to slow to be usable.
Now running ubuntu on a phone is a lot easier. Try it instead.
