Hello guys, i've been using ZTE Open for months now but i have a problem. It hangs most of the times. First of all i thought it was an earl build(1.0) so then i installed 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and running 1.4 now but the problem is same. It hangs! and when it does i have to lock the phone and wait for sometime to unlock it or just direct remove the battery(sometimes it doesn't solve the problem but sometimes it does). I can't know now for sure that will i be able to receive my incoming call or not?
It just freezes most of the times. Tried so many things like clearing cache installing different ROMs(1.2, 1.3) etc but same problem
Anyone having the same problem?
Any suggestions?

My son has a X8 which after the latest SE software update (build 2.1.1.A.0.6) I rooted and enabled JiT following the useful guides here.
It had been rooted before without problems but after enabling JiT, the phone began to randomly restart twice (the second restart after a few seconds of completing the first one).
It mostly happen on Facebook or Handcent, although it has happened while doing nothing too.
It's as the force close for everyone else, only that this one just restarts itself.
Before I reset it to factory and start again, has anyone encountered this problem and been able to sort it? is there anything else I can do?

I've tried several different roms on my X5, and some weeks ago I had a strange issue.
I had just installed MIUI 2 or 3 days before, and decided to change back to CM7.
Since I've done that my phone randomly freezes and restarts, sometimes even in the recovery. I've tried all the custom roms and they ALL have this issue now. System boots and 2 to 5 min later it just freezes and reboots.
Also I've noted that when it's booting it takes significantly more time than any other x5 (i've turned 2 iDeos X5 on at the same time and this one takes 2 more minutes to boot).
Now for the really weird part...
If I restock it with the official 2.2 rom I have absolutely no issues at all! Phone runs perfect, never freezes and never breaks.
I've tried everything, multiple kernels, multiple roms, played around with processor speed, reformatted internal SD, repartioned, fixed the permissions.... I'm at a loss, I have no idea what else to try, and since my phone is perfect on stock rom I cant really send it back to "fix" because apparently nothing is broken...
Anyways, help would very much be appreciated

Did you totally reset the phone?
So when you open recovery:
* wipe data/factory reset
* wipe cache partition
* Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Yep, did that everytime.
Also, the phone sometimes freezes on installing in recovery rom. mid-installation it just reboots...
which recovery version are you using?
I've tried 4.0.1.5 by Geno and 5.0.2.6.
also I've tried the others, but recovery freezes mid-installation
This doesn't seem to have an easy solution.
Try to use the powerful logcat utility to investigate what causes the problem. You can run it from a command prompt window(pc) with command:
adb logcat
or
adb logcat > log.txt
if you want to create a log file to C drive instead of display the output to command prompt window. Post the logfile here.
Maybe then someone can find the issue and hopefully a solution to your problem

Hello again, haven't had the change to do the log, but I just found out something really strange.
I have here 2 iDeos x5, one works one freezes. What I just found out is that the one that works shows 353mb of RAM, i've researched online and says that this is normal because the rest of the memory is allocated for the GPU.
What is strange is that the one that freezes shows 512mb of Ram, making me believe that it has no video memory hence freezing the phone when I try to do something graphics wise...
Anyone know if this ever happened? or ideas on how to fix it?

I have a GS4 from windmobile. I rooted it a few days ago. Now i have a problem where sometimes it takes along time to boot up, no music will play(says file can not be played), phone freezes when calling and can't receive calls. This issue is really concerning me. I have unrooted the device and wiped the cache but still the ame problem. If you know how to resolve this please help.

Last week I received a brand new Xiaomi Redmi 3S. Everything seemed fine until I noticed that the phone tends to reboot from time to time. Sometimes, it can't work for a couple of minutes before rebooting and sometimes I can spend hours playing with it before the error happens.
I tried updating to the latest official stable MIUI and the problem persists. I switched to the developer version, to no avail.
Then, I decided to unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM (from Xiaomi.EU) and it didn't solve the issue.
Reading through some threads in the en.miui forums I found some posts by a guy who claimed that the problem could be solved by using KernelAdiutor... But his method didn't work.
I made a video, as the vendor requested. There, you can see the problem: It rebooted my phone twice in less than 5 minutes.
I think that this problem isn't related to the battery, as the reboots have happened even while the phone is connected, and just before each reboot the phone freezes for a moment, like if a program crashed.
Any ideas on how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance.

No expert here, but seems could be hardware error. Next time if you happen to have such thing, don't unlock the bootloader. But maybe you can relock it (if thats needed) and install stock and send it back to them. The device seems to have a defect.

Hi,
with custom or stock roms, the phone lags, freezes and restarts or shuts down.
It does so, even i haven't installed 3rd party apps.
Cleaning cache partition doesn't help.Factory resets doesn't solve the issue.
I looked on the web, seems many ppl have this problem, but anyway, i wanted to ask here, because i just hope to be able to fix this problem...
