Has anyone loaded this on yet? On mine it looks like the GPS does not work. Can anyone confirm?

Well I flashed it this morning with stock kernel and it ran fine and I loved it. It's also my first custom ROM I've done since I bought my nexus 7. But I'm a stock bland kinda guy. So I restored nand. It would almost complete with stock except for the occasional chinese characters like when installing apps.

Oh and you gotta search for specific gapps to flash. Any old gapps would not work well. What I've heard from a YouTuber.

Sorry I don't really use GPS so I did not bother to check.

Took another swig at it but my internet seem to be running a lot slower on it.

Where can i find the gapps for this?

Damn the first start up was a pia with the default language being Chinese and the keyboard being pinyin... So far seems pretty cool. No themes is kinda a bummer

I ran this with the Elemental Kernel with no issues at all.

Yeah I don't like that keyboard too. But here's the official stock one: https://app.box.com/s/jh3gr5yos6bo99p02vur
Just install it like normal and choose it instead of pinyin.

I tested it on my flo. It's interesting. I'll give it another whirl later on after it's been tested a bit longer.

ROM Question

I posted earlier regarding the Bluetooth issue with my nexus 7 (turning off and on constantly) you think flashing back to the paranoid android 4.2.1 (Feb09) build would be alright and I would be ok to do so without performing a full wipe?

[BootAnimation] C0deFire Animation

C0deFire Bootanimation 1080p and 720p
For Nexus 5 and Nexus 4!
Hello guys!
Im kinda new here! Its been a while i use xda but i never really got into trying to do anything besides mess up my phone and play arround trying stuffs ppl would post arround, untill the day i decided hey i wanna make my own bootanimation! so i gave it a shot and guess what! i had fun doing it and i made 2 variants with 2 diferent colors which was actually easy with some photoshop
I might make more colors later on when i have more time
Anyway here i am presenting you my creation.. hope you guys like it! (Inspired on the CIA animation)
PS: sorry for the video quality.. didnt had a better camera arround to record...
anyways i have attached a notepad with a dropbox with all the flashable zips of my bootanimations, also attached another flashable zip of the stock bootanimation in case you wanna return to the stock!
the Zips were tested with CWM and working perfectly as u may see in the video!
Now i would like to thank @deathviper for providing a nice guide line it made me get somewhere together with some analysing of other old boots i had on my pc
Works also on LG G2! Thanks @big70tom for testing
I think any phone with a full hd resolution should be able to run this bootanimation.. although test it at your own risk since i can only test it on nexus 5!
Added Nexus 4 resolution boot animations!

(Q) what kernels are good for 4.4 and up?

hey everyone I'm having some problems with 4.4 and finding a kernel that work's with this android version. I used faux123 kernel and the WiFi doesn't work. but I like faux123 because of the color screen and swype2wake. so if someone can help it'd be gladly appreciated

Bricked is the only kernel. Not compatible with CM though. But who uses CM nowadays?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I.m using faux. It.s working great on 4.4.2. I used it on 4.4 as well... Did you update the radio?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
i suggested that you try AK kernel. He got both for aosp and cm based. the latest one quite stable
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Try Franco kernel...if that doest do( which is hardly possible) try something called pure kernel for 4.4.....1 of them will surely work...Franco worked for me...

no, this is not what he asked for, franco kernel does not have swype2wake, just double tap to wake which is useless as it goes off in your pocket if your hand is in there as well.
I'm assuming op knows to use trickster mod to turn on the waking feature?.
I found the faux123 29 mainline kernel and it's good but thanks for your guys help

HTC sense 5 alpha!!

Hello GS1 forums! ? Yeah today I tried to port sense 5 from the desire 500 but I don't know if it boots so I need someone to donate to me a Samsung galaxy s (not plus) so I can test this ROM by myself.
Because I don't know if this even boots and I need my own gs1 to test it then I will make the ROM available to download.

What would be more feasible is to ask for testers... chances are more people would be willing to help.

it's good that you have ported a sense 5 rom...
but it is not good to ask people to give you money unless you do something..
i am not being rude here but if you want someone to donate to you, you will have to do and show people something...
as of now you will only get only some testers...

Yeah, I have a prototype for an Android ROM for iPhone 5S Spacegrey, if someone donates me one I will vanish and never be seen again

I have a HTC HD2. I was irritated with the comparatively bad specs and so I took out the internals and fitted the nexus 5 internals into it. I can now boot android and windows phone but sadly I need an iPhone to put iOs on it. Please can someone donate one to me
/sarcasm
LOL calm down you do know i have a life and anyway i dont need a gs1 anymore and i tested it with my friends phone and it boot but there is a thousand hot reboots!
this thread is now testers only!!!!
PM me if you wanna test
I'd like it if you posted the ROM link in the thread. And also
Can we please give this thread the dodgiest thread of the year 2013 award if OP doesn't post the link

I need an expert!!

So my phone was rooted and I thought it was a good idea to factor reset my phone to get the new KK update. Once I factor reseted, i forgot to change my soft keys back to the original stock one, and when i try to to press on system updates its says i need a motorola service account and when i click set up it does not load. Is there a way to just upload KK the whole file into my phone
This is ironic! I just posted about the same thing a minute ago. There might be a problem with motorolas servers if I'm not the only one this is happening to

OTA's are extremely sensitive. It might but I won't hurt to try. If the update fails just SBF to 9.30.1 and it will take care of your problem
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If you couldn't tell already I am a n00b haha, do you have instructions to do that?
Well that's I no brainer! You said your rooted. Your gonna have to SBF no doubt about it.

Its fine were all a noob at one point! I don't have time to really explain this, look at the KitKat threads in general and there is a pretty good guide that involves deleting a line of code that gives problems. Any other questions just pm me! I'm glad to help
