This is my second vibrant and I have noticed that after browsing web for s small amount of time the browsers keeps closing suddenly and returning to home screen... This happened on my first vibrant as well... Is anyone else suffering from this issue or knows a way to fix this?

Yes this happens, hopefully they will fix it.
There are two options to remedy the situation for now.
1st, go into your browser settings and uncheck plug-ins.
Personally this didn't work for me
2nd option which works flawlessly. The second option is to visit desktop versions of websites. For example, if I visit mobile version of google, it just randomly exits. So what I did is set my homepage to the full desktop version. Since google is my homepage, i went into settings, and typed out the full path for google desktop view into my start page settings.
Again, if your browser randomly closes, try visiting full page views.
I've also noticed this is linked to the GPS issue. Some sites try to get your location. If the site starts trying to find your location, and your gps is bust, the browser just exits.
you could try a 3rd party browser like dolphin or skyfire.

It has been confirmed that on the Mobile version of Google, the "nearest location" check activates the GPS which crashes the browser.
Turn off the GPS. Open a webpage to Google search and finger "Classic" which is half way down the page. This will switch you to the original Google site so that its not trying to get your location when you open a browser window. If a site is trying to use your location it will happen, but in my experience it has only been on mobile sites using location tracking.
There is a setting to turn off - allow websites to request access to your location. Would that help?
This isn't necessarily a location settings issue. It could be a flash issue. When visiting some pages with flash content, the browser will suddenly close and return you to the homescreen. If this is the case, it will happen every time you visit a particular page, and it will also happen with skyfire and Dolphin HD (at least on the 2 phones I have tried them on). Only option to fix this problem is to disable plug-ins in the browser settings.
Good Luck.
I have the Google Market running on the Nook Touch. It works, but there are a few quirks:
When browsing the market, some application categories operate perfectly fine, but various others do not allow you to scroll the screen. For example, while browsing All applications, you can scroll through the list and install applications perfectly fine. But when going to a certain category, for example, productivity apps, you may not be able to scroll the list. This may also happen when selecting free, paid, or recent apps. Some tabbed categories scroll fine and others do not.
Also, on some application descriptions in the market, no information is displayed. The application can still be installed just fine.
I was wondering if there are similar problems using the Market on other devices that did not originally have it, i.e. Nook Color. If so, does anyone have a solution or insight what might be causing this?

I don't see the descriptions for some apps either. Use the AppBrain app (which provides a much better user interface) to solve the description problem. Also the lists seem to scroll fine for me.
I do have a different issue. When pressing the search button in Market, the stock Nook search takes over and I can't search the Android Market or AppBrain. This happens for several other apps (e.g., Dolphin Browser). I saw others have mentioned the same problem. Any solution?

I haven't tried AppBrain yet, but I have the same search problem with the Market. The screen blanks and searching is impossible, just as it is w/the mod's default browser (Opera mini however, is the bee's knees and works great).
One more quirk or glitch I'd like to add is that my serial number for the Nook Touch shows up as "00000000000000." I don't want to restore and re-root, is there maybe a workaround for this?
EDIT: The serial number now shows, but the "Owner" and "Account" information show as "Unavailable."

The search problem has been solved: trace this post. No need to do AppBrain, chomp, etc any more. I also use Opera mini as my default browser.

I posted in that thread, too. Since then I've reinstalled the ROM I have my user information back, but the serial number disappeared again, and my registration shows as complete.
So, I'm back to square one with two peculiar problems:
1) How to get my serial # to show
2) How to get my Shop to work (clicking on it directly just flashes me back to the screen I was at previously). Thanks to the updated vending.apk, I can at least shop now through the search feature, but that's still limiting.

Thought I'd report back with what I did to fix the problem of the serial number. I ended up resetting the Nook Touch from within the B&N menu option, and then I had to do the button factory reset as well (hold down power button, then two bottom page buttons for five seconds, release).
After that I re-registered, reloaded TouchNooter rom, and somehow everything cured itself. Except Shop. Still can't shop, but other kinks are getting worked out at least.

After rooting with TouchNooter I couldn't search either so I tried replacing the vending.apk as in the link and also updating all the GAPPS (used CyanogenMod 7 from http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version#Google_Apps) and now the Market is broken :-( Must be missing something!

Thanks for this: I had the same serial number issue, and then I did the in-nook menu wipe and reinstall with the factory reset, and now everything works more than perfectly! The nook part of the device works just the same as before [including the '6 pages per flash swipe], but I can use the android part if I want to IRC on e-Ink or browse the internet and such [which is what I bought it for really]. Great times, and the input problems [with portrait mode and typing it's kinda ew] aren't much of a problem, since it's mainly just reading.
I do wish it had a bluetooth output thing so I cold use a keyboard to type on it: then it would be more than perfect, but as is it's pretty great anyways. Maybe I should buy one of those micro-USB to USB things ...
Never had these problems before myself, but all I can suggest is clearing the market cache, and if that doesn't work, reflashing gapps.
So I received my Nexus 7 on Monday and have consistently been having issues with Google Now. Basically, I cannot click on any of the search results. After rebooting the device, I can click the results and open in Chrome, maybe 3-4 times. After that 4th time, Google Now search results simply do not work (until I reboot the device).
I can see that the blue result is highlighted when I tap it, but Chrome does not open the link. I can +1 the results, and open links that don't open Chrome (for instance, the "did you mean..." will work, inside the Now application).
It is infuriating to not be able to use this core feature. I have even tried resetting the device (twice!). I am a US Customer, although I found in some searches that people outside of the US were having some issues.
I seem to have such an isolated problem that I cannot find anyone on the internet with the same issue. Is it just me? Is there something I am missing? Keep in mind, it works sometimes - so I don't believe it is setup incorrectly. Could the problem be with Chrome? I have cleared data on that application (in addition to resetting the device) but no luck.

I have the same problem, if I search in Chrome the links always work but sometimes when I search in Now they don't. Its intermittent and its working fine at the moment. It is very annoying. I thought it might be a symptom of the touch screen not working as has been reported elsewhere.
haven't looked this up yet, but would pushing the old apk from the 84D build restore all the features (pre-apple patent update)???
seems watered down on 4.1.1.

I've done some more troubleshooting and found out it is something wrong with my main Google account. I added my "back-up" google account to the nexus. I just turned off all sync options for it, but in Google Now I set the "back-up" as the account to use. Everything works fine every time! As soon as I switch to my main google account the problem comes right back.
I contacted google support this morning and they are going to look into my account to see if there is any corrupt data causing search issues.
Sadly, I already deleted all my web history thinking that something in there was the cause - it was not.
I will keep you posted.
Im at my wits end with this issue...
I'm getting a bit desperate here, and i cant find a solution anywhere else... i asked before, and it seemed the other people having this issue were using nova or at least some sort of non oem launcher, but some people with nova never saw the problem..
whenever i click on anything in an app... aka, a link in gmail to an ebay item...
what happens, is it opens chrome and displays the last thing i visited on chrome. sometimes if i hit back, it will go back to the ebay app it was supposed to open in and display what i was looking for. other times if i hit back, it goes back a page in chrome till i get to the home page, and then if i hit back again it finally closes chrome and it takes me to the ebay app and the results i want.
the same thing happens if i click on a link from search in the google app... if it is a link handled by an app, it will open with that app. if it is a misc link, it will open chrome showing the last thing i viewed in chrome, then i click back once or a few times(or switch back to the google app via recent apps), and boom... the link is open in the google app.
another example.. open a link in metal(my reddit app, but it also does it with bacon reader)... it opens chrome showing the last thing i viewed in chrome. if i back out of chrome, or go into recent apps and switch back to the reddit app.
it is absurdly annoying. this happened with my old lgv20, and it happens with my new one that i got as a warranty replacement. Idk what app or setting followed me over to the new phone and i have no idea how to fix it. anyone else have this problem?
the only time i can get the issue to go away is... if i clear google chrome defaults in the app manager.. and i have a 2nd browser installed, like firefox... and every time it asks to open a random link in chrome or firefox, if i select just once... the issue stays away. if i either uninstall firefox, or click chrome and set it as the default, the issue comes back.
thanks. Im honestly getting desperate as it is making phone use very very cumbersome, especially for switching back and forth between apps.
occasionally making sure chrome isnt in my recent apps will help, but not always.
anyone else here with experiencing the same?
I have installed a ROM to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0" LTE -T235. After it booted up i realised whenever i open the internet or download chrome, when i open it, it does not connect to the websites but loading forever.
Any ideas?
Duck Duck GO works.
You can reset network connection. You are using mobile data or WIFI. You can change dns server.
Do you get ip address when you connect to internet.
on browser when you write website name. You can see loading process. What error you get.
I tried using WIFI and Mobile data as well, neither worked. It simply says the page doesn't respond you can either wait or close it. I believe No other errors, only loading forever.

You can reset browser to default setting. You can uninstall and reinstall browser.
Your internet is working fine.
You can see website loading process at the lower left corner of browser.
