Hello everyone,
I own Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 and few days ago I updated it to the official Kitkat.
I don't know if this is a problem or not but every few days I get a message in the notifications panel that there's an update to the security policy and if I want to install it and click OK and it does its circling and says it was updated and no further action is needed but this shows every few days.
Just to say I have Knox 0x1 so I think it fails to install because Knox is 0x1.
What's your opinion about this?
Thanks in advance

Hey guys
I have a Galaxy note 3 with Rogers here in Canada (SM-N900W8) and I know there has been 2 updates released (MJ1 and MJ4) but I havent been able to update over the air because my phone is rooted and flagged and my knox trigger is flagged as well.
Using Wanam xposed I have my status set to official and I can download the new update but the installation will fail.
Anyway so I connected my phone to KIES and it says I can update, however before I update it says if my phone is rooted its possible I can brick my phone.
So my questions are, 2 install these updates (MJ1 and MJ4), will it brick my phone? If it doesnt will I lose my root? Can I reroot on these latest firmwares and lastly is there reasons why maybe I should stay at my current firmware?
Sorry if this has been asked before. Ive tried searching and I didnt have much luck
Thanks

Short answer is NO.
I updated mine via KIES to MJ7 (I'm on the N9005) - while rooted. KIES says you "may" encounter problems but mine was fine and I re-rooted with ease (already tripped KNOX so no worry there for me) _- as for your firmware on the N900W8 - not sure if you can root with the latest firmware or not personally
INU ver. I9192DDU1BML1
OTA 96.79 MB
Was hoping that the compability with Galaxy Gear would mean 4.3 but w/e. If we will be getting 4.4 Kit Kat directly then that's not bad either.
What is changed? Unable to get OTA since phone is rooted. Have to flash stock ROM, install updates & then root which is a pain in the a$$
EDIT: "You cannot downgrade to the old software after this new software upgrade due to the security reason" DAFUQ? Does that mean KNOX is added now? Oh crap!
Could you please boot into Download Mode and write everything what is in the output?

Because there is not enought customer, if you count the number of post about i9192 you will notice that they are rare even though this phone is supposed to have great features.
Be carefull in the case of the new version it's as now impossible to root without setting the knox void warranty flag to 0x1 ==> warranty void

Anyone else notice the updated sammy push? These tend to happen prior to fw updates. Mine updated 48 hrs ago, i377m (rogers). Kitkat rumoured this month for s4 cdn. With announcement of it pushing to note devices, id imagine kitkat for s4 is next. Now for my question. Looking for a link or info on update process. Would like to keep root, currently on 4.3 rooted, using supersu pro and wanam to fake official. We able to simply pull update ota? I always used odin to flash, but since knox with 4.3,not sure. My knox is 0x0, so looking for a knox safe update process, if one even exists yet.

Since Samsung Introduced 4.3 They said that they have put KnoX on it
So while reading the CF root thread i read that many users got bootloop
so I wanted to ask if flashing the Official software back to the mobile (In case of error)
Resets the Binary Counter or Status to official ? and How does the download mode look like
does it have the Knox Indecator like other Samsung Devices (I used to own an Galaxy Ace plus and now an Xperia ZR user)
I am just asking because I might do that to a friend and we don't want to loose the warranty

On the Grand 2, you won't hit Knox, because it isn't there.
But on a high-end like the Note 3 or the S4, using Odin to flash non-Sammy stuff would change
KNOX WARRANTY VOID=0
to 1. Sammy customer service employees would freak out then.
Thank You Very mUCh ;D
Hello everyone, i need your help, about my phone problem, it keeps boot looping after i change stock rom to custom rom, maybe because of the knox problem in download mode. My knox warranty now is equal to 1. Did anyone of you know how to fix this problem?
There is no way (till now) to zero knox
but you can back to stock and get OTA update
