Hello guys,
I have a rooted stock Nexus 7 2012 (3g GSM) model. I've Installed on it is a very old CWM recovery v6.0.2.3 when i first bought it. It's been a long time since i got this device, and i forgot every thing about rooting & what not, so i want to use this easy method below.
I want to update this old recovery to the latest version, so i can flash new ROMS like CM11, PA and many others vie the new recovery.
So, I need help finding a .zip file of the newest recovery so i can install the update from this old recovery, is it doable?
Thanks,

Hey guys,
Im running on 4.2.2 root and CRM at the moment and would like to return to stock.
I would like to use the free version of the mskip toolkit (1.3.0) and I have already updated the adb files.
Now I am a little bit confused about mskip's post 1054 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995688&page=106):
"If you dont have the Pro Version then you can download the OTA, copy it to the root of your Internal Storage, boot to Stock Recovery (or flash Stock Recovery first if you have flashed a custom recovery) and install the OTA via Stock Recovery. I will be updating the public version in the next 1-2 weeks (after I have had a few days off) and will include adb sideload in the next version.
Mark."
Instead of doing this, could i simply download the latest factory image on https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images , put it into the the folder "put_google_factory_images_here" and flash via option 9?
I am very grateful for any tip!
Best greetings,
costa
Hi all,
it's days that i'm trying to install CM12 from "Stock 30a/30b/30d/30e - flashable zip + Still have Recovery [20150425]".
I downloaded last cm12 rom (20150430-d802), JB Baseband and JB Bootloader. Did every backup needed.
I went to recovery, wipe all, install CM12 then queued baseband and bootloader. When TWRP starts the process, it gives me error when it tries to run loki program and everything stops.
I don't know how to go on.
Someone can help me, please?
Tnx a lot
Use autorec app apk

you must use autorec app apk to go back from bumped twrp version 2.8.6.1 to the old 2.7.0.0
Hey guys, definitely new to this, haven't flashed a rom since I had a HTC Droid Incredible about five years ago. My brother just helped me root my phone and install TWRP, except when we go to look at flashing a new rom it states that you need TWRP 2.8.6.3. We are currently running 2.8.5.1 I found the 39A bootstack which supposedly includes TWRP 2.8.6.3, but I'm lost when it comes to how to flash this bootstack with the updated TWRP. Can anybody provide instructions, or a link to a previous thread? I did try using the search bar, but when you search "how to flash bootstack" the results are overwhelming because almost every post has the word "how," "flash," or "bootstack."
Really appreciate the help!

Interested in this as well. I've just started with the LG G2 and am at the same point. How do we go about flashing a boot stack? Does, as @amcleod1995 stated, the boot stack include the newer version of TWRP? Can someone provide a step by step tutorial or a video maybe? Thanks in advance! Here are the steps below we took to root and add recovery.
We both have our phones rooted following:
1. Root - http://forum.xda-developers.com/andr...vices-t3049772
2. Recovery ( TWRP) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/veri...-twrp-t3053134

Very simple, update twrp manually from blastagator's website, reboot to recovery , flash bootstack zip, reboot to recovery and the flash anything that requires it (ie: CAF roms) . Now you're on the latest bootstack (bootloader, modem and everything else that comes with it).
I'm in twrp right now (wiped the system)

Sure can.
Hi there,
my 802 is running on TWRP after I updated to the latest stock ROM (30D Europe Open). Unfortunately due to problems mentioned in another thread I cannot install a custom ROM currently. Does anyone here have a mirror for me where I can download a TWRP backup of the stock ROM?
Thank you in advance
If you can't install a custom rom, what makes you think you can install a stock? It's pretty easy.
Very helpful... I flashed the latest KDZ on the G2, rooted it and installed TWRP 3.0.2.0, so far so good (believe it or not I flashed a dozen other android devices before). However when I try to install a Marshmallow ROM it gives me Error 7, so that means that getprop.device or so doesnt bring the correct value up. Now when I tried to switch to an older TWRP which is supposed to not have that Error 7 issue (2.7.0.0) I get an error saying I am missing the Loki files in the tmp folder. Now I do not know how to get around the Error 7 (the fix that is mentioned on here didnt work for me, brings up Error 6 instead) I would like to return to a stock backup.
How about giving me actual advice or leaving and letting other people help?
Edit: Booted in Download Mode and flashed v30D KDZ with the 2014 LG Flashtool. Works with Stock ROM for now
Hey guys ,
i'm running cm 12 official on my d802 32gb version.
A couple of weeks ago i wanted to update to cm 13 and to do that i had to update TWRP to the Marshmallow compatible version 3.0.
So at first I downloaded TWRP 2.8.6.0. as a zip for my the d802 and flashed it using flashify to install TWRP 3.0 with it.
Accidentally I denied to reboot after flashing the 2.8.6.0. version and rebootet directly into the recovery.
So thats what I think was the mistake why I bricked my recovery... Fortunately I'm still able to boot into the old cm 12 without a problem.
So now I backed up all my data to go back to the stock LG firmware using the LGFlashTool.
Now before I start I want to ask you guys if you could check if im using the right programs.
I already installed the Lg Mobile driver and the LGFlashTool.
Then I downloaded the "BIN_LGD802AT-00-V10b-SEA-XX-SEP-04-2013-32G+0.tot" file from storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda%2FLG+G2%2FStock%2FD802+tot%2F
and the "LGD802_20130912_LGFLASHv160.dll" file from storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda%2FLG+G2%2FStock%2FD802+tot%2Fdll+file%2F.
So am I ready to go, if I use this method: youtube.com/watch?v=wJtcPNklrfw with the files listed above?
It would really be nice if somebody could help me out
