How could I use external 3G Dongle on my Note 3 using OTG cable??
My 3G dongle model is Huawei E176G.
Please Help.

Why would u need a 3g dongle?? It has 3g built in. Just load the Sim card.

In my country the original Sim card doesn't support 3G connection;
And to use 3G I have to buy 3G line to connect.

The 3G dongle, it remember me the Asus Transformer Wifi Only Honeycomb 3.2.1. I installed one 3G dongle and after it was Wifi/3G.
But:
1- The 3G dongle must be modified on Pc to not boot your own firmware. After was dead to Pc.The firmware not started on it.
2- The Rom from tablet was not adapted to 3G. A Dev. developed a plugin to install and known the Dongle and work in 3G.
Many difficult to make that. Great work.

You just plug usb 3g dongle in (with sim card of course) and it works?
Do you need any special program?
How do you connect to carrier?

Go to settings and set up a new APN according to your mobile provider. And then should work.

I dont think so, but u can try usb otg kernels and app that was created some times ago.

U can insert the SIM in the modem to the phone and browse the internet, its that easy and simple!

on my 3g modem have unlimited fast internet,on my nobile phone plan its very limited.if I insert card there,have to bring 2nd phone to put my card to receive calls
Hi guys i bought a Nexus 7 32 GB Wifi tablet, but im starting to feel the need for 3g unfortunately wifi is not always readyily available in my area. would i i be able to use my 3g dongle via an OTG cable so i can still download and go online? is there any special setup that i need to do, currently running stock

What I meant to say I still need the data but the gsm only network I'm after, because in the area i working barely have any 3g or hsdpa network. And because the constant network scanning barely have any network.
Sorry for my misunderstanding. I'm wondering if this is not linked to the setup of your provider. They may decided 2G (Edge) is no more available.
In my case the 2G option is still working and when I set it the GN3 works in Edge :-\

Using Note 3 N9005(LTE)
Had the LTE mode on network list when I bought it but now after using some custom roms its not there. Cant get 3G network in my home even though other phones get H+ here.
2G network works just fine.
Flashed official firmware through ODIN yesterday. no luck
Any fix?
Need help ASAP.

Have you tried inserting correct APN settings to get Mobile Data back?
I Tried everything nothing works.
