You just plug usb 3g dongle in (with sim card of course) and it works?
Do you need any special program?
How do you connect to carrier?

Go to settings and set up a new APN according to your mobile provider. And then should work.

on my 3g modem have unlimited fast internet,on my nobile phone plan its very limited.if I insert card there,have to bring 2nd phone to put my card to receive calls
So when out of WiFi area I've previously just tethered my old tablet to my phone and used the phones data connection via the dial up networking profile. I can't for the life of me figure how to do this on the N10. Any ideas?

I can't answer your question, but why not just use the wifi hotspot?
Unless of course you are using a phone that does not have that feature ...

Fair question. Two reasons really, 1) some Telco providers and/or devices don't support it, and 2) it usually doesn't work internationally whereas tethering using DUN does.

How do i share my wifi connection from my note 3 to my laptop? when i try apps, it just disables the wifi, thus defeating the whole sharing process. can anyone help?
Your 4G internet is shared using wifi. you cannot use wifi for both.

I don't have 4g data, i am just using it as a wifi right now, i want to share that wifi with my other devices, not possible huh?
Sorry no. What WiFi point is your phone receiving internet from? Y not just connect your computer to that same router?

If this physically works out for you, place the laptop within range of the router and host your laptop as a wireless access point/wifi via ICS(internet connection sharing) within Windows to your Android phone
So it would be like Router ---> Laptop ---> Android piggybacked where the phone is the one not in range of the Wifi
Another option is to upgrade your router/laptop to a longer range. If you're on N, upgrade to Ac if your wallet allows it
or just buy a Wifi range extender.
seems a bit sublime to be trying to use a mobile device which is likely to move all over the place as a range extender - when the problem that needs to be solved involves distance & orientation relative to fixed stations.

Why would u need a 3g dongle?? It has 3g built in. Just load the Sim card.

In my country the original Sim card doesn't support 3G connection;
And to use 3G I have to buy 3G line to connect.

The 3G dongle, it remember me the Asus Transformer Wifi Only Honeycomb 3.2.1. I installed one 3G dongle and after it was Wifi/3G.
But:
1- The 3G dongle must be modified on Pc to not boot your own firmware. After was dead to Pc.The firmware not started on it.
2- The Rom from tablet was not adapted to 3G. A Dev. developed a plugin to install and known the Dongle and work in 3G.
Many difficult to make that. Great work.

I plug usb to my phone and connected to my computer, and in setting - pc connection - select usb connection method, I choose usb tethering, but nothing happen, I can't share my connection to my computer. just annoying thing, my old phone, samsung galaxy wonder, can easily to usb tethering. or I miss some step in G2 ? thanks in advance
