first of i'm new here and i wanna say thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and helping me
iv been trying to root my phone for the last couple days i try to look for somebody with similar problems to me and cant fin it
my phone is a galaxy s4 model sgh-i337 android 4.2.2 base band i337UCUAMF3
i try the sd method and it did install superuser than i downloaded root checker but it says sorry this device does not have proper root access
i try it like 2 more times with sd and just gave up so i try it with Kingo Root and it went trough again check with Root checker but same massage can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong any help greatly appreciated
When you booted did you open the superuser app and update the binaries?

i have the S4 16 GB, i rooted according to an article posted on here
when i try to access the SuperSU file, it says that i need to install a new update but the installation failed
i have tried to update it thru Google Play (along with other methods like Busybox and Titanium Root and many others) <---- DOES NOT WORK (unless i did something wrong)
the problem is that i cannot UNINSTALL the Superus from my phone.
if there are no other solutions, how do i UNROOT the phone so everything can go back to where i first got it? (im desperate!)
Im a newbie so please bear with me

If u want ur device like b4 flash proper firmware for ur device it will make it as good as it was

Ok so today I tried my hand at rooting for the first time with my Galaxy S4. I used motochopper,and installed Superuser onto my device. I used Root Checker to see if I was fully rooted, but it said I wasn't. Then I opened up Superuser and it told me I need to update the binary. I pressed install but it didn't work; I keep getting a message that tells me there was an error and I need to send a log file to the developer. I have no idea what this entails, nor how to do it. Did I do something wrong? Why am I not fully rooted? How can I fix this?(if possible)

Motochopper was meant for MDC, if you are running MDL or MF9 you should use CF's Autoroot.

Hi I can't seem to roomt my device. I have spent the last day or so following guides that seem to work, but after I run through them, Root Checker tells me I am not rooted.
I have got Odin3, Kies3, in usb debug mode, and in download mode.
I tried towelroot (not supported).
I tried this awesome guide by "TheSmokingAndroid" - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283918 - everything seem to work with this tutorial but in the end root checker says Im not rooted
I've also tried using Odin3 throuigh this another guide, installed a custom rom "n2" rebooted, and wasnt rooted.
No idea what I am doing wrong or if I am following an old guide? Any advice or links would be appreciated?

My problem is that I do have my Samsung Galaxy E5 (S978L) rooted with King Root (verified with root checker).
But I am trying to get rid of King Root and replace it with SuperSU. I have the SuperSU-Me app installed, but it
doesn't get past "Processing, please wait...". The regular SuperSU app gives me an error when I try to install it,
and it says "The SU binary needs to be updated. Continue?" I have to select normal? Since my device is not listed
under TWRP's install menu... and the normal install fails leading me to "Installation failed! please reboot and try again"
which obviously doesn't work for me. I think I read something about unlocking bootloaders, but I am not sure where
to go from that, since samsung is harder to do that with? Correct me if I'm wrong. Also I don't think it helps that this E5
is the straight talk tracfone model.
Bottom line is I am trying to replace King Root with SuperSU, and install TWRP onto my POS phone. Any help is appreciated. Once again, I have no clue about anything really. Trying to learn this stuff

Has some useful info for you. Supersume got rid of king root for me, version 6.7 did it I'll try to upload it later. Also as far as a custom recovery, we are still working on making a permissive kernel which I feel like I am getting closer, but not having a computer to test with if I brick I'm out the game for a little bit lol. Also in my thread at my latest post I explained how to find the proper partitions to dump with dd in terminal emulator, to make a proper nandroid. Many useful articles on this site. Good luck. Maybe you should merge this with the other thread I linked and started for our sneaky straight talk phones. Also, once we get the permissive kernel, we can get the custom recovery going probably, bootloader needs to be unlocked too. Anyways ya, be easy.
Just a little update: I finally have SuperSU installed. For some reason, supersu me wasn't working with my king root, however once I uninstalled it, and installed KINGOroot supersu me worked...
Maybe I can now assist in your process since I have a powerful computer and a decent paying job. But my days are pretty busy. But shortly I'll be trying to make a nandroid backup after doing some reading. Have to learn some of this stuff. But my next couple days are packed. Anyways thanks for pointing me in the right direction

Im very disapionted and frustrated and i will be gratefull for help.
Im trying to root my Huawei P Smart.
Last three days im trying but without solve!
Few weeks ago i rotted my older phone samsumsg galaxy Note 4 folowing the video tutorial and works great.
But with this phone i simply cant..
Im not that experienced but im trying to understand and find the way where should by myslatake.
I followed many videos on youtube .
Firstable i unlock the Bootloader and FDR.
after that i nstall new drivers to my PC. then i run CMD there problem starts..ADB - out of date killing..I fixed but when i copy TWPR in to the CMD that telling me the Failed problem with a partition.
I as well try king root ,kingo root from pc and from android phone too..
Always frozen by 1% king root. Kingo root 90% black screen and as well teling me there is virus.
Anyone can please spend some time and help me?

but with some reason when i installing Magisk zip and rebooting system doesnt shows in a phone and root checker telling me the phone is not root.
Any advice what im doing wrong please?Thanks!
