Porting XPERIA Launcher and apps

I'm going to port some features to replace Samsung crappy ones (Like gallery, music player)
Following apps/libs will be ported
Album (Gallery)
Bravia Mobile
Walkman (Music)
Also mod will have AROMA included.
Any help welcomed and required I beilive

Yes, I got the APK of the Home Launcher of the XPERIA GX. It was made for Sony devices running ICS, I tried to make it work on my SGS3 but I couldn't. The Sony launcher is a master piece of work. It's so beautifull and usefull.
I will donate with paypal to the one that ports XPERIA GX Launcher WORKING with widgets to the S3. I want to stay on Stock ROM and just replace this ****ty touchwiz launcher.

Why not use Xperia Home as launcher.
The one attached works.
But the app drawer is a bit messed out.
Let me try adjusting.
Go on Preferences > App Drawer.
App Drawer Rows = 5.

What about the sms app? The one found on xperia T is simply gorgeous

Note: This is work by ra3al.
This is the closest to an Xperia Launcher on the SIII.
Unfortunately it is made on GB (2.3) so it runs in compatibility.
And doesn't support features like Resizing widgets which are specific to ICS.
We're still waiting for a port from Xperia GX

I'm just downloaded apps signed and zipaligned them.
After testing, I'm discovered some apps working without libs, some not. I'll extract libs tomorrow and create cwm zip with them.

other than stuff like clearbass equalizer,surround mode,download music info rest it pretty easy to port
most don't need any porting at all to be working on s3

Watching this space & hope the porting works (esp Email,SMS etc).
Album works fine here with lib(libalbumframework.so) included. Have been using Home,HomeAdd & WidgetPicker since day 1 instead of TW, only issue is resizing widgets. SemcNotes working perfect paired with Evernote for gmail backup etc. Walkman, no issue at all (with all the its xtra dependecies).
Not my work and thanks go to the XDA community dev for the work...much much appreciate

Official Android 4.3 Update !!! Changelog {Unofficial}

Hi guys, XPERIA SP(lendid) finally received 4.3 JB update
The first question on mind is always WHAT"S FRICKKING NEW ?????
Here is a firsthand experience of the tiniest things in the update - Unofficial changelog
Also i won't be discussing any performance/lag issues - TO EACH HIS OWN!
Ill start with some & maybe you can keep contributing too....Ill keep adding in this list
1. [UPDATE] INTERFACE CHANGE: This is a big improvement from the previous firmware. Apps open and close with a certain "still effect" Font has changed too.
2. [UPDATE] KEYBOARD
3. [NEW] Option to change Themes.
4. [NEW] DAYDREAM : Now, you are given an option to have a slideshow of your saved pics (Camera/Set Favourites) while your Xperia is charging / docked or both. This option is available under Display Settings.
5. [UPDATE] "NoMoreFreeze" : Probably the biggest & much needed update. No more does Xperia SP freeze when kept flat on a surface. Touch responds flawlessly on a flat surface. No More impatience.
6. [UPDATE] LOCKSCREEN : Now, you can set even live wallpapers as wallpaper on lock screen. AMAZINGG!
7.[NEW] TRACK MYXPERIA : No more searching for free apps that track your phone in case you lose it. In this new update, Sony has provided you the option in the Xperia itself. Go to Settings > Xperia > My Xperia & easily setup the service.
8.[NEW] MAGNIFICATION GESTURE : Go to Settings > Accessibility > Magnification gesture : Now you can magnify any part of your screen ; zoom in /zoom out after activating this feature
9. [UPDATE] : Camera got updated and replaced with SMART SOCIAL CAMERA. Some of you earlier issues with Camera Has been Fixed
10. [UPDATE] : Sony Media Apps got updated too - namely WALKMAN, ALBUM & MOVIES

I just received my Xperia sp a couple days ago which is awesome,but am to yet to update to the latest firmware.But reading your post has gotten me curious has to see what is so special with it,a just might flash it now.Already rooted and install recovery and test a stock based rom,i know that to test other custom Roms i must unlock bootloader which am so ready to do,already got my special key to unlock it,but i think i will try the updated 4.3 first before unlocking.

Is bluetooth smart ready active in thisbl version?

Nice to have 4.3, but my SP is laggy and screen often unresponsive...
Using generic ROM (CE version). The UI is nice and also the other refreshments, but the lag and screen issue just killing the good impression...

it was nice to see the new interface ,but that keyboard simply stinks ! i don't know why but i type 10 times faster on the original vanilla keyboard from the rom mods , and the gaming performance on the stock one ? lame lame , stuttttters all the way

Yaa...differs from phn to phn usage
Check 'free ram' in running apps, u will gt an idea which app is additionally hogging more ram
Screen issue z fixed buddy, no more freezes now!
Besides, new firmware has been certified too..various bug fixes (fingers crossed!!)

But you cannot use a live wallpaper. Dont know who has invented that but I am unable to change it to a livewallper..

Ya guys....i have been using an app called SLIDELOCK, that enables us to view app notifications on the lockscreen
Additionally, for the background of the lockscreen, it kinda mirrors any wallpaper set on homescreen
So if i set a live wallpaper on homescreen, the same "live effect" is visible on the lockscreen
I couldn't do it before, that is why i added it as an update.

I'm afraid I don't know how
If anyone knows how to get rid of the ghost bar, don't hesitate to post here
I'll have a go at it later if no one knows how to fix it!

First of all many thanks for porting those Z2 goodies for us!! :good:
Maybe you can ask ashishdubey about how to remove the navbar space from the launcher?
He did an port for the Z1 launcher, he made 2 versions of it; 1 with the navbar and 1 without it.

That's HTC Sense 5.5 Android 4.4 systemui I can't port a systemUI universally... It's not possible

I'm using Slimkat 4.4.2 on my Gnex, I have flashed this zip but Home launcher doesn't work. It didn't appear in Settings>Home. any advice for solution?
widgets, keyboard etc. everything works except the launcher. I've tried push the Home.apk but it didn't work also.

Can't you select the default launcher when you press the home button? On non-AOSP ROMs, your usually given a choice to choose between launchers if you have more than one. Check if Home.apk is in /system/app, you may try moving it to /system/priv-app and see if that helps

I dont know if this xposed module could work,but the idea is the same:

is it possible for you to make the ghost area gone? i use immersive mode on custom rom so it is pretty annoying looking at those empty space

That's pretty much impossible. That's like trying to port the HTC Sense camera to AOSP ROMs. It can't be done due to framework limitations.

I'm on stock AOSP 4.4.2 Nexus 5. And Home.apk not work for me to. I move it to /system/priv-app, restart phone, and still not work.

Hey, cool icons you have there! can you give me link to the thread please?

It does work on an XHDPI device running 4.2.2
however the 2nd widget( with the xperia S label) doesn't show all album arts unlike the other 3 widgets.

I just mix the musicwidget from xperias.
With the new musicwidget ,updatealbumart function is diferent.
In the new musicwidget from KK, The AlbumartBitmap is low quality.
So i use updatealbumart function from xperias, it causes many problems

it work for the new xperia home, if your have the new xperia home

does not update album art even on the 4x4 widget some times (smart cover)
also a sugguestion ..how about using sony pause/prev/next buttons ..would give it a proper sony look :cyclops:

Please modify Xperia Weather version 1.3.A.1.16 or 17 ( v...16 has a bug with weather update in new widget and v ...17 has a bug with change of size in new widget) or wait for update in Xperie Weather Open Beta community.
And, please try not to use package name com.sonymobile.xperiaweather2 becouse this I used this package name for modified WeatherGoonow (widget with pictures from Google Now). Try use for example com.sonymobile.xperiaweather1 or com.sonymobile.xperiaweather3
