Hi all.
I use my phone for my music in my car and when I play music it shows up in lock screen. When I stop it, it doesnt so then I gotta open up the app again.
Is there away to make it stay there permanently?
Thank you

man if u r using the stock music player
first u open up the music player , play the song and then press the power button on right hand side. it will lock your device and on the lock screen you will get the music player. even if u pause it the song will pause but the music player interface will remain there. i just tried it on my i9500.
try and provide feedback
It don't stay there for me. If I pause a song, fuel up my car. Come back unlock the phone its gone...

having gravitated over from using Miui on my XT720, I now have an Atrix. Only problem I am having is finding a music player that I can shake to change a track when the screen is off (say if I am driving for e.g).
My Miui player used to do it on old phone but sadly, once the screen goes off, it doesn't work on the Atrix.
Any help would be appreciated.
music player pro has this option, i believe, but it's a paid app. The miui player worked for me, but only when there was no security lock. Alternatively, you might try shake 2 play next on the market.

thanks for the quick reply... I have just tried player pro... same result maybe it's a setting in the atrix I have missed?
anyone able to help?
turn off any pattern, fingerprint, or pin lock you have, and this will work.
If you install cm7 you can use the volume rocker to change songs and volume. Just set it up on settings

I also found this annoying, especially while watching video etc. The only solution I ever found was to mute the sounds, which stopped the alerts interrupting the music or video playback, and as a bonus, you still hear the ringer through the headphones
If you have/use tasker, you can create a policy that detects when your watching films or listening to music and automatically sets the alerts to mute, then sets it back when your done.
But how to mute? I selected mute sounds in configuration and player stopped too.

I just mute it using the mute/vbrate toggle in the quick setting menu and still am able to play music via google play or videos
So if you use the Swipe lockscreen there are options to use wake-up commands while the screen is on but locked. One of these is to play music. I was wondering if it were possible to change the music player to Google Play Music instead of the default Samsung Music player.

Have you tried disabling the stock music app and then seeing if it activates Play Music?

Hi,
if I insert the headphones into the phones jack poweramp automatically starts up and plays music, tho however for a split second I can see the music controls on the lockscreen, however some reason they dissappear right after? Is there some way to get them to stay?
Thanks in advance

First of all I want to thank everyone for taking the time to read/respond to my post. I have an unrooted Note 3.
My issue is when I use my jaybird bluebuds x or monster isport freedom bluetooth headsets with my Note 3 the next track buttons do not work. Well.. let me rephrase that. When I hit the next track button is launches the samsung music app and skips that track.
So the button is being registered but it's not working for the active player. Like if I'm listening to pandora and hit next track then the samsung music app launches and skips that track instead.
Is there any way to force (using tasker or something without rooting) the phone/headset to recognize the current active music player instead of the default samsung player?
Thanks in advance for your help!!
It's more likely the app doesn't recognize headset controls.
I've never had stock music player pop up when using the controls with N7player. But it has a menu for headset controls...

Disable the Samsung player in Settings and try? I usually always keep the default apps all disabled and use PowerAMP for my music, never fails me when I use my BlueBuds X.

How do I disable the samsung player in settings? Are you referring to settings for bluebuds bluetooth, cuz I didn't know you could specify specific aps.
I prefer to stream my music so I don't have to organize my music. That's why I use pandora/slacker and not PowerAMP. Thanks though.

Your phone settings. Manage Apps, All, find your music player, click on it, Disable.
