[q]change recovery size in magldr without pc? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

helle every one
how can i change recovery size in magldr (not clk) without pc on the phone(leo)?
any chance?
Sent from my HTC HD2 Leo using Tapatalk

What do you mean for Recovery Size? Partition size maybe...

BTW, I remember a Recovery which can be launched from SD, you just have to put the files on memory and from MALGRD select Option "Boot from SD", but don't know exactly if you will can repartitioning the internal memory...

thank you
i want to resize recovery size whitout pc such as system size(180-200-400&etc).and cache size(2-5-45&etc)
that means the size of recovery(system,cache,...) who rom cooker wants.
such(please use system 180 and cache 2)
im using nand option(not sd option rom) and i havent any pc to test other roms that needs to edit flash.cfc file and run daf.exe, iwant to change this options on phone (such as clk) in magldr boot loader or any thing that no need pc or clk
sorry for my bad english
excuseme sir
Sent from my HTC HD2 Leo using Tapatalk

I think you cannot do that. You need PC.

if you are running only android try clk 1.5... this way you can resize without pc...

well, with clk hd2 becomes like a true android device, so you can run nand + ext4 sd data partition for sure; i don't know about the dual boot nand+sd (never tried), but i suppose you cant... hope i'm wrong

I am pretty sure you can use SD recovery from here, put twrp2 folder on your sd card and boot it via magldr ad sd, then you should be able to resize your nand partitions, remember to backup first

[Q] HOW TO flash Android after having WP7 on my HD2

Hi all,
After having a while WP7, Im convinced that Android is more usable... anyway its my judgment. However, I have MAGLDR 1.12 but when I flash an Android ROM, it says successful, but it doesn't boot up, it gives some 'yaffs2' error.
In this situation, I can install back WP7, but cannot flash NAND android.
Any help please?

I want to do the same. What about tht SD card. I heard that the SD card was specially formatted for Windows Phone and the only way to reformat it was in a Nokia phone. Is this true? What do I need to do/prepare to my SD card currently in my HD2 WP7 phone so that it is clean and I can install Android to it?
me 2 i want to do the same ... im sorry to say that but i think windows 7 is still in stone age compeer to android ...

I formatted my card in my Cannon digitall camera did not tryed with nokia, but hey,try with everything u have that supports sd/microsd cards...
I went from android name to wp7. Wp7 was cool but I felt like I was limited after coming from android. Anyway, on the switch back to android I realized wp7 over wrote everything. I had to go all the way back to wm6.5, then flash magldr, then clockwork, then my rom. What a pain! I tried everything I knew of to not have to go through all those steps but its the only way I could get myself back "home".... in android

[Q] urgent help please regarding dual boot

hi i m using android ics 4 in nand and i want to dual boot with windows 7.5 and i dont want to hard format hd2 plzz someone help is it possible or i have to start with scratch ? coz i had not installed android myself so m bit scared
since WP7 is working from NAND, You have to reflash NAND with WP7, then You can add SD android BUILD
but i have android in nand so does that means i had to flash w7 directly without hard format android or first i have to installed wp6.5 than i had to flash hspl then magldr then windows 7 then android in sd ? and if this r the only steps then my question is is there a way to skip the step of installing wp 6.5 then hspl then mgldr coz i m using android in nand so i have hspl and mgldr already installed
you wont need to reinstal HSPL, but it is adviced to install wm 6.5 prior to flashing WP7, then magldr... and so on
I did once direct flash from nandroid to WP7 and it worked, but im not sure dose it have any side effects or not

hmm seems u r wrong or missed something out so if i dont reinstall hspl then how can i run android from sd does it work on wp 6.5 hspl plzzz some advance user help its getting confusing
reflashing wm6.5 doesent remove HSPL (at least it didnt in my case)
k then too i will wait for more reply coz i had read somewhere that you can only delete hspl 2.08 or so by flashing wp 6.5 may be m wrong but still i prefer waiting
ok, remembered now, I installed custom wm6.5 ROM that uses HSPL for flashing, that is why HSPL stayed untouched
Hspl is not touched by flashing anything..it is removed only by uninstalling using hspl to flash spl again. hspl makes your phone practically unbrickable.. For wp7 you need hspl 2.08... Flash wm 6.5 with radio 2.12 or 2. 15, then magldr1. 13 and then flash wp7.. Then dual boot with android

for dualboot must repartition sd card...
Simply use yukixbmod rom, and send partition cab and sd unlock cab... easier and better than old way of partitioning in other roms.. Time consuming

i'm following this guide but at the end after i have loaded the sd rom onto SD card and done the boot to SD i get a SD file not found or something like that.
do you have to edit anything after you transfer the android folder to the SD card?

no...all video is recorded without pause, only cut time where waiting time to flash WP7, copy time when copy paste ICS folder to SD and first loading time for Android.... nothing changed, edited or worked... all job is recorded...
you need to make the appropriate settings in magldr for android
services/ boot settings/ ad sd dir (android sd directory)---select your android folder , accept by pressing green call button
you will need to change boot settings also to "always show menu"
boot into android
i got my issue resolved, i wasn't swapping in the edited rootfs file and startup.txt.
it's what this video shows near the end.
perhaps it's not needed with the SD rom that you are using in that video. I tried but it didn't work for me.
thank you for doing that video. i watched that video before i even bought the hd2 and it's one of the reasons i did.
this device is amazing

[Q] Boot SD Android from NAND Android?

So I want to try out some SD ROMs for the HD2, as there's just so many to try. With Windows Mobile, you could boot into SD Android using Haret.exe. I'm wondering, is there a way [ via an app or Terminal or something] to boot into an SD ROM from NAND Android? I know the usual way to do it is from MAGDLR, but I have the issue with my end call button messing up my screen's responsiveness, so I'd like to avoid using MAGDLR if possible. Thanks for any help
sorry. deleted

Unfortunately no, if you are using a Nand rom then MAGLDR is the only way. The file selection process is exclusive to WinMo

Awwww
But my screen became altogether unresponsive, so I'm getting it replaced and will be able to easily boot between SD and NAND without the worry like before. Just this time I'll be very careful with the use of my buttons!

hello,i have a t-mobile HD2 that cannot boot any android rom(SD or NAND)so my guess is that my bad blocks don't let my phone boot Android...so here is my question:with A2SD I install the rom to the SD card(which is virtually converted to NAND or something?) or not??if someone finds any solution about my problem i would be grateful

I don't have any clue what your actual question is supposed to mean, but if you can't install SD Android then it isn't anything to do with bad blocks. You need to give more information, such as which type of HD2 you have, what radio it has, do you have HSPL, what steps you've taken so far etc. Nobody can help without sufficient information.

I still don't quite understand what the actual issue is. Do ANY ROMs boot on your phone? The reason I ask is because you later contradict this original statement by saying something about A2SD moving your apps to the SD card.

A2SD does not install the ROM to NAND nor does it install NAND to SD. It install apps to your SD card, apps that you use on your phone.
NAND ROMs are flashed directly to your phone and completely remove Windows.
SD ROMS are ran from your SD card with your Windows still functioning when you want.

I have a hd2 too.
magldr 1.13 .... clockwormod 5.0.2.6 ... Nexushd2 ics 4.0.4 - rom... a2SD-Script ...
200mb nand-partition..5mb cache-partition.. 1 gb ext4-partition and 400 mb swap-partition
I installed my rom witht "hd2 toolkit 4.2.0.1", that can be downloaded here on "xda-developers".
With this tookit you can do followed things:
- Start with a "full wipe" called "task 29" (I think this "task 29" is necessary for your hd2, because of your problems and bad issues you are reporting)
- then partition your nand-memory (for first install i recommen 200mb nand an 40 mb cache - after you recognized that it works, you can reduce cashe to 10 or 5 mb)
- install magldr
- install clockworkmod recovery
- install your rom

Then leave the nbh file on your sd card and if you are ever really in the **** just start again by holding down the volume down button when powering on and re-install clk which will also install recovery. Then you can install any rom you want again and again...
Edit: no matter what partition size...
