Yes, If your firmware is lower than MJ3 then you might still have the older bootloader that won't void warranty when you root (DON'T use cf-autoroot though). After you root your phone you can then use Mobile ODIN Pro to flash newer firmware - MJ7 - without getting the new root resistant bootloader.
Using RDLV or kingoapp won't trip warranty void so you stay on 0x0 and MOP doesn't trigger it either.

I'm the one who first using this method to update from MJ1 to MJ7 with root and old bootloader retained. Knox 0x0
Many has tried this method and no issue reported so far.

Sorry, mislook at your exynos version. So far MOP only supoort SM-N9005, which is the snapdragon version.

Nope, it will trigger Knox....
any idea how this behaves if you did not upgrade the bootloader files? (update with custom created odin tar)
aka could you downgrade if you still have old (MI7) bootloader?
My Note 3 bootloader is MJ7 does updating to MK2 with mobile Odin will trigger knox ?

Mobile odin needs root to begin with. So if you root you most probably gonna trip your knox, so mobile odin is the least of your worries.

Oh so you have fallen into this category which is a knox walking time bomb. At the moment your knox will not trip. But you are rooted with new bootloader., There is a high chance your knox will trip when you try a factory reset.
As to whether you can safely update with mobile odin pro, this I am not sure. Hope someone else can give you the answer.

The unique method that dont trip knox is using the program KINGOROOT not supported by XDA. Go to their website or write them a mail :highfive:

I've never understood what Knox is. Does the tripped Knox mean you can't get your full official warranty back? What problems does tripping Knox cause?
It means the system has been compromised so yeah I guess warranty void. Basically another Iphone in the making.
