A friend of mine picked up an Oppo Find 5 from China for me (in Australia).
Since I've had it, it has been dropping its signal (even with the original Chinese ROM).
The phone signal will be full and then drop to zero (no coverage).
Also the mobile data connects but then also drops to nothing.
I've run CM 10.1.3 and Carbon ROM as well as MIUI (V5) but no luck.
I've also flashed the latest (International) version of ColorOS.
I flashed the 4.1 and 4.2 modems but still no luck.
I'm trying using a Vodafone SIM which uses G900MHz, G1800MHz, U850MHz, U900MHz and U2100MHz.
According to GSMArena the phone supports:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
Anybody else experienced these issues?
Cheers,
MayhemVC

Hi,
I am planning to buy Touch 3G or Touch Diamond. (Still confused)
However, can anyone tell me which one of these will work with US carriers 3G services.
The specs mention
General 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 2100 / 900
So, general latching on to US GSM networks and using Edge is not a problem, I know. However, not sure about 3G.
Whatever reading I have done shows that the 3G network is as per European standard. So I am sure I should be able to use 3G in Europe/Asia.
Can some gurus help me with this.
Appreciate your help

I have ATT, and no, the Touch 3G does not work because it is missing the 3G band used by ATT. I only get Edge in places where my old P3600 would get 3G.

Does this mean that this device will work at least for voice/SMS in Japan (which only has WCDMA 2100, no conventional GSM at all)?
I have flashed the generic XEU bada 2.0 firmware on my unlocked Bell Canada Wave 1 and now my Bell SIM no longer works because it does not have the UTMS 850 frequency, but works with my Rogers SIM.
I'm just wondering is there is a modem out there or if i can use the modem from the 1.0 firmware that came with the phone so that it will work on any Rogers/Bell and Telus?
These are the frequencies i need in the modem.

3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100

Did you find solution? I have same issue not connecting to 900mhz 3g
I have a SGS 8 SM-G950FD.
a few days ago, I noticed that the LTE signals on my phone were fluctuating a lot between 1 - 3 bars and then suddenly reverting to H+ and staying there.
At first, I though it's just network issue. however, days after, the issue still persists.
The said issue appears on Telenor Pak Band 5 (850MHz) LTE. It happens whether the phone is indoors or outdoors. Same sim on other phones works good with LTE.
However, I tried to use LTE SIM of another network (Band 3 1800 MHZ) and that is working flawlessly.
Tried factory data reset, reflashing stock firmware. Na da .
Any help would be appreciated.

It's issue with lower band frequency 850 and 900
I rolled back to April firmware to get network band locking but still it was the same.... Need to visit Samsung center or warranty provider
