Walmart Family Mobile APN Settings for Data and MMS? - Networking

I recently moved from T-Mobiles Monthly 4G to Walmarts My Family Mobile plan. I am having trouble with MMS. Data I assume is good. I run Speedtest.net thru the app and I think Walmart caps the speed at 1MB. I say think because when I run a speedtest through Chrome I get 3MB. So not exactly sure. My MMS was working earlier today when I was group chatting with pictures and all. But I have now received a group text and it wont download. I am using Google Hangouts as my default SMS client. None of the settings Walmart has listed on there site have worked for me. I also just had my wife text me a picture and I never received anything. I am using a Nexus 4 with these settings. Any help is really appreciated.

Someone please help

5 minutes of Googling... cellular apn - web.omwtoday.com
mms apn - web.omwtoday.com
mmsc - wirelessfour.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
proxy - 216.155.165.50:8080
You need to change the APN from epc to web.omwtoday.com I think.
Also 900 kbps is as fast as it gets. I mean bits. I wish it was a capital B. That's why I don't have them for one reason.

Have you solved this issue?
I just properly set my Nexus 4 on Walmarts Family Mobile.
It works flawless.

lol. I've had this issue a lot with sprint also. I'm hating the fact that they can't get this network issue resolved fast enough

I've had this problem quite a lot recently. Oddly, it seems to only affect messages coming from one or two certain people on a given day.
Yes, me too. Completely random.

This could be caused by incorrect APN (Access Point Names) setting. Happened to me in the past.
These can be configured via Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
Google APN Settings for (Your Service Provider) and check to see if you have the right setup.
Do you use Google Voice? Google Voice has Sprint integration so if you selected that GV will intercept your incoming text messages

Same here (totally different provider and everything, but I had the same problems and the same solution).

[Q] Nexus 7 3G No Data with AT&T SIM

I just got my Nexus 7 3G and inserted my SIM from my AT&T Galaxy Note II. I get 4 bars but cannot get data. I have tried using several of the AT&T APN settings I have used on other devices but cannot get data to work. Has any other AT&T user got this to work?
Note: I finally got it to work using the old wap.cingular settimgs.

N4 on AT&T

I have an LTE data plan and use an LTE APN and I find that some times my data will not work. I put the phone to sleep and then back on and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Everything is always fine on WiFi. Anyone else on AT&T find they have issues like this?

Do some searching. I don't have ATT but think I read once someone had luck reverting to the non-LTE APN with fine speeds. Just repeating what I read, so take it for what it's worth.
You will need to switch your LTE data to HSPA plan.
Change APN to phone instead of pta. Leave everything else the same. I personally create a new APN, name it 4g or whatever you want, set APN to phone and that's all. Works very well for me. I am on a hspa+ plan now but this helped when I was still on my lte plan. This should work for you.

That's not true I use my AT&T PTA APN and it works perfect for me. I can use the pta(lte), hspa+, or Cingular.WAP and all 3 work great

LTE APN works fine for me using PTA, however my data speed isnt that great compare to tmobile.
ive tried PTA and Phone, they both yield the same result for me.
I have an AT&T plan and SIM from my previous LTE phone. I use the preset LTE APN that came with CyanogenModand it works great.

Apn
I have an lte plan and found the Cingular apn too slow. I changed mine as follow
Note* I found it in a thread and has worked flawless with faster data speeds. I live in the bay area, California
Apn - phone
Mmsc- http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
Mms proxy- proxy.mobile.att.net
Mms port - 80
Everything else as it was

"Sometimes", meaning at times it does without intervention? When you try to access data what happens? On tmobile thr phone idles on 3G and takes time to switch up to H. Sometimes having to refresh a page or click a few times until it kicks in. Is this what you're experiencing?
Did you have to enter an apn or did it set them automatically for you?

Thank you for posting yours. I'm currently on a LTE plan coming from a S3, I went in to AT&T store and asked about having my plan changed to a 4G HSPA+ plan and they told me there is no such plan. They just have 3G and LTE for smartphones. Weird, I'm pretty sure folks have posted images of their plans... oh well, if this LTE APN works well, I'll be happy. I hate that I lose my data periodically with the Cingular APN.

Mms sending but not receiving straight talk t-mobile

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem and if anyone has the fix for it. Maybe the apn settings are wrong with my simcard.

Make sure you have the correct APN settings for your carrier.
That's what I'm trying to find
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
It came setup out of the box, but the only person I can get pics FROM is someone else on T-Mobile networks also.

Search Google for TMobile or StraightTalk APN depending on the carrier you're using.

MAN IM HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE WITH STRAIGHT TALK AND MY GOOGLE NEXUS 4. IT S VERY FRUSTRATING AND WHEN I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE IT WAS POOR. THE PERSON HAD A NERVE TO TELL ME THAT STRAIGH TALK DOESN'T GUARANTEE THE MMS WILL WORK AND TO USE THE APP "WhatsApp"
I NEED HELP ON THIS ISSUE LIKE YESTERDAY. ALL THE SETTING AS FAR AS THE APN IS CORRECT ..IVE RESTARTED IT SEVERAL TIMES BUT END WITH THE SAME RESULT OF NOT RECEIVING MMS MESSAGES FROM ANYONE OUT OF THE T-MOBILE NETWORK....
hey guys just wanted to share something with you guys that fixed my mms problem with my Nexus 4 on The Straight Talk (T-Mobile Sim) Service....
there these "hybrid radios out there that you can download the zip and flash it thru your recovery. Here Is The Link To Them: >>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358931<<<Hope it works for you. Mine worked with me being able to receive MMS messages With The 27-98 H.R. Good Luck!!!

Anyone have working data on Straight Talk (T-Mobile) this morning?

I woke up this morning to my phone saying I need to sign into the network HOME. The phone shows 3G/H but cant connect to Google's services, apps cant get to data and when I try to go anywhere in the browser it redirects me to a T-Mobile web page saying I dont have a working data plan and to sign up for a data plan. I'm in Atlanta, GA.
APN is :
straight talk
wap.tracfone
8080
http://mms.tracfone.com
mcc = 310
mnc = 260
I doubt its going to be fixed on here but I am wondering if its global or if I should keep harping on them because its specific to my SIM.
You need to set your APN to T-Mobile settings. I'll post my settings.

I had the exact same issue a few days ago with net10. Support was not helpful. Finally purchased a new tmobile sim, and did the transfer existing service to new sim via the website. Had data back within a few minutes.

I use Platinum Tel which also borrows its service from T-mobile and I havent had data working for 2 days. I turn it on but nothing happens. I've asked them about it and I checked two different phones. I dont know whatsup.
I checked the APN settings and they were ok.
My APN settings never changed and they were never those settings. Let me reiterate, I am on STRAIGHT TALK and not T-Mobile directly.
Then have had me trying a dozen ones and nothing.
I'm having the same issue, and so are people on Facebook and the ST forums. Support is useless, but I finally got escalated high enough to make them put in a detailed ticket about the issue.
It's not just you, it's a lot of people, so I'm hoping it'll be fixed soonish.
Still broken, this is two days out now :/ If anyone has this fixed for themselves somehow, please post.

They sent me an AT&T SIM.
