Hi guys, I just updated my nexus 10 stock and not rooted or anything to 4.2.2. However it's now stuck saying that launcher has stopped, every time i click ok at just loops leaving it unusable. I managed to get into the setting though notifications and tried wiping all data from launcher but still not working. So has the update not installed properly or is it something else cause i'm stuck on how to fix this?
Either do a factory reset or use adb to sideload another launcher.
So when I launch the Facebook app, it opens up, tries to update content, then closes. I looked and cant find any solutions so far.
Currently I am on 4.3 rooted.
Same problem was occurring when i was SmoothRom 5.2. I figured reverting the image to stock would fix it, but that has not been the case.
I've uninstalled and re-installed several times. I went to recovery and ran Fix Permissions. Problem still persist.
Does anybody have any ideas on what I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance.
I was able to get the app working again. I ended up flashing 4.3 a few times, but it finally working.
I reverted back to stock on my VS980 and I can't retrieve OTA updates anymore, it used to work but, it just stopped working. Now the Computer software update helper is starting to not work as well, somewhat. Does anybody have any ideas what to do?
Anybody have any idea if this can be fixed? I reverted it back to stock multiple times before and this is the first time it has happened. It will get an error every time I try to look for an update.
I have tried clearing the google services framework and force stopping it. Taking out and putting back in the Sim card, it just sits at checking for updates and will keep looping that until I back out, then when I go to status it says update failed.
Bump
I upgraded my VZW S5 from 4.4 (NK2) to muniz's stock, rooted 5.0 (OA8), with the wifi tether hack. Ever since the upgrade, some apps will randomly crash - I can recall contacts, Pandora, and the March Madness apps all giving me the "Unfortunately, XXXX has stopped" popup.
I wanted to know if anyone else has had these issues, and if this is a known issue w/ OA8. For Pandora and the March madness App, I have tried to uninstall and reinstall. I have also tried to clear data on the apps that have crashed, and have tried to perform a battery pull. Unfortunately, these methods don't seem to resolve the issue.
If anyone else has experienced these issues, and/or has a potential fix for these random crashes, it would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping that i don't have to reflash everything, but it's more important to me that I get my phone working without these random crashes.

I have the same problem. I get random app FC's and the system becomes sluggish after being on for a few days.

I got tired of the random FC's so I reverted back to 4.4.4. I am now running Rick's ROM (NK2).

Did you wipe everything but your SD card before install and do a factory reset after, then flash the OA8 kernel? Also, sometimes, if you go into application settings, force stop, clear data and start again, it will help... this has been an issue with contacts, but the cleared data will clear it up.
When going from NK2 to OA8, don't restore programs, since OA8 ART is so different. Just reinstall the programs and allow Google to restore your data.

Yes - I did a full wipe and did not restore any programs. I also tried the force stop/clear data method that you mentioned but the random FC's kept coming back.
I'm back on 4.4.4 (NK2) and, thus far, no issues w/ the FC's.

muniz just posted the 0C4 update to LP that just rolled out. Maybe it will work better for you?
Hello all, I my phone started turning itself off and back in about a week ago and today whenever I hold the home button down to bring up the task manager, this error message pops up. I've tried wiping the cache from r the recovery menu, and doing a delete data/factory reset. The reset seemed to work until my phone started updating and I imported my contacts from SD card. Now, once again the error message comes up whenever I hold down the home button. Could it be an update causing this, or did the virus come back when I imported my contacts? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I should mention that I'm using the straight talk version of the S4.
The new google app update is causing this problem. Either turn it off via app manager or unistall the update
My husband and i both have the galaxy S4. We also noticed this issue around the same day you posted this! Have you figured anything out? Or fixed the problem?
