Hi all, my N7100 keeps resetting to Custom Binary 1 and status custom even after I root and triangle away. The custom binary resetting happens when I factory reset after triangle away.
I am using the latest TGY stock ROM from Sammobile: PDA: N7100ZSUEML1 ; CSC: N7100OZSEML1 ; MODEM: N7100ZSEML1
I was on a custom kernel before this ROM. Is this issue because maybe I still have custom kernel? If so, where can I find a stock kernel that is compatible with my current Stock ROM?
Please help.

For it to stay at 0 then stock recovery must also be present

It will work if you're stock rom rooted. and stock recovery.

I installed 4.2.2 stock rom from http://www.androidrootz.com/p/galaxy-s4-stock-firmwares.html (I have the Tmobile USA version SGH-m919)
I assume that the stock rom also flashes stock recovery.
I then rooted by using the CF-auto method, and rebooted.
installed Triangle away, and reset the counter the program reported success, and a quick reboot into download mode confirmed.
Then I booted into stock recovery and wiped data and cache
Once I rebooted, I was unable to run an OTA update. I get a message saying the system has been modified. opening Triangle away, I see that I am at counter 0 and samsung official binary. and official system.
What do I need to do in order to get an OTA update?

I rooted my stock s4 using Odin and CF-Autoroot. Everything went fine.
After this, i flashed the Official Status Mod and reseted the flash counter with Triangle Away 3.0.1.
My Flash counter is 0 and the Device Status was Official.
Then i installed busybox and with System Tuner Pro, removed from Startup some apps, specially Samsung ones.
Yesterday i was checking the Device Status and it is Custom now (
Tried to flash Official Status Mod again, but nothing..
Triangle Away shows counter 0, Binary official. I tried the System modified workaround, but nothing, it stays Custom.
Is there some app that cannot be desactivated to stay Official? Theres anything else i can try?

Normal way u can now re flash stock firmware using odin and reset the device all will be official
2nd option flash pretty rooted firmware using odin reset the device for better performance / no error all will be official

Do you only want to use the official TouchWiz ROM and keep your phone's root and custom recovery or should everything be reset to factory state, which means no root, no custom recovery, official ROM and flash counter set to 0?
Anyway, start by downloading the desired firmware from SamMobile.

Yes but I install through recovery mode it says failed in red so what should I do.

So... yes what? Did you get any explicit error message? I recommend flashing stock recovery and rom through odin or heimdall using your pc. Please provide more detailed information on what you want and do so one can help you efficiently.
Help! I've reset the flash counter through Triangle Away, unrooted my phone, and even flashed stock rom to my Note 3, but still getting this message: "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available." When I'm trying to update my Note 3. How to fix this? Sorry for noob question.

When you flashed the stock rom was it the ODIN flash rom which can be found and
downloaded from http://SamMobile.com ?
There are a lot of twrp/cwm flashable stock roms but if you want to make your phone stock
so it can get OTA updates the stock official rom must be the odin flash type and you need to
un-install root then do a full wipe before odin flashing the official stock rom.

what is it your trying to update?
if your knox is tripped you won't be able to update through OTA afaik
Hello all, i need some help returning to stock as i'm out of ideas.
I was using prerooted 4.3 firmware without KNOX files, then i flashed Carbon Rom based on CM. It is not working (as you are not able to remove apps) so i decided to go back to stock (standard stock with KNOX) So i downloaded latest firmware from sammobile and flashed it using Odin.
Just after flash phone reboots than tries to run recovery (and says SECURE FAIL: Recovery). Then it reboots and system is up and running but there is no WiFi,
How can i go to clean and not modified stock firmaware?
What firmware you exactly flash on your device? Same version that comes out the box?

Ok I flashed it fine, how do I root the damned thing now? When trying to load the TWRP file inside Odin AP, it takes forever. It's literally taking 15 minutes now, "processing" something in the background after i double-clicked the file. The "AP" button is grayed-out, like it's waiting to load the file somehow. What gives?

Try to flash TWRP for your device: HERE via ODIN (seems the latest version 2.8.5.0 have some bugs and don't work correctly) and then root it with CF-Auto-Root.
Tried it, same problem persists. It's stuck at "Checking MD5", and after a minute the whole Odin gets "not responding" and it just sits there like that...
I'm desperate. How do I root my phone?
I even re-flashed the firmware (Lollipop, Polish), SAME THING. Has anyone got any ideas? Please?
After flash lollipop, can you back on kitkat ?
I dont know when you flash lollipop via odin, do you need to re-install custom recovery ?
If you do not have, just enter in recovery and flash SuperSU v2.40
I think you have root after flash SuperSU.
Considering to install and I Lollipop, but do not know will I be able to go back to kitkat, will delete it my PhilZ recovery and how I root my phone ?

I was on CM12 BlissPoP before I flashed the new 5.0 today. With Odin went back to 4.4.2 KK booted up then back to Odin flashed 5.0 phone booted in less than 2mins. I did lose root and PhilZ so just had to put them back on.
So far all OK just trying to get all the BLOAT out now.
Also OP has a video on the 1st post now if you need help.
Eh that's exactly the problem. I can't flash custom recovery, because it hangs at "Check MD5". It just sits there and nothing happens. Can I root my phone without the custom recovery somehow?
