I'm switched over to the latest OmniROM nightly (Currently 20140125) for my Find5 but discovered a bad wakelock I never experienced before. It keeps the phone in a wake state like 95% of all the time.
sns_periodic_wakelock
Google and Forum search for it showed up several possiblitys, I tried to eliminate them all. Today I completely wiped my phone and installed the latest Omni nightly on a blank device with TWRP + Core Google Apps without installing any other additional app to it.
And still the sns_periodic_wakelock was there. So it must be caused by something related to google core apps or omnirom itself.
Did anybody discovered something similar with Omni Rom on find5? I never had this before on non kitkat roms.
And it's not just a display fail, the battery is really draining fast with omnirom. Unsubale in my case. Charging to 100% and 3hrs later just letting my phone "sleep" the batery is already down at 20% with only 5min display time.
Any suggestions would be awesome!

I had this too ...think it was right after i switched to omni. For me the next nightly or the one after it fixed it for me. That's all I can say.

Last time I saw an "SNS_XXXXXXXXX" wakelock...was when I had a stockish ROM, and the big hint as to what it was-was the FaceBook icon for the wakelock.
I suspect a social networking app is the culprit. "SNS" standing for "social networking service".
Today I totaly whiped the phone again and installed the latest omni again. Seems to work because now the SNS Wakelock is still present but below 5%. Strange...
I keep an eye on that.

My guess is that it's in gapps somewhere... Or maybe it's in the blobs... I should look through the blobs directory for that string.
While it's listed as a kernel wakelock, it is not actually present in the kernel as far as I can tell. It also doesn't appear in any of the frameworks.
(While most Android wakelocks go through the PowerManagerService and all get lumped under a single wakelock at the kernel level, it IS possible for any userspace application to grab a kernel wakelock of any name.)

Sounds to me like some app is asking for sensor data and causing the wakelock then.

No one can help me?
Ive only one dashclock widget in the lockscreen (but i have it from about 1week and it did not ever cause any problems)
Today i have installed widgetlocker and used it for a bit...but disabled it really quick. Maybe some kind of caching problems with it? Now ive removed it...well see tomorrow. But if you have any tips i would really appreciate it

I also have this. I checked raw alarms and eBay was highest, so I've FC'ed it and I'm gonna see if it makes a difference.
Solved...For me it was widgetlocker that boosted my sns periodic wakelock :good:
how did you find that?
Also raw alarms is that in BBS under just "alarms?
Turning off locations in the Google settings app seemed to help with the wake lock & also android os seems to b steady now, will continue to see what's causing this issue..

I've tried turning off location but still no help. My phone stays Awake 100%.!
Please help. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I'm running Faux beta 13 r2 with PACMAN 22.01.

I have the same periodic wakelock. I am on PACman and I don't think I had seen this wakelock until I installed custom ROMs. My battery life has never been very good, so there must be an app that is doing this that I've had since I got the phone.
Is there a way to tell which apps are generating the wakelocks?
For the past two days, I have been noticing huge battery drains. i had stock everything, no custom rom. android system was at the top of the list, and it kept saying it was the GPS, although it was off. so i rooted my G2 and downloaded system tuner, and turned off all the carrier IQ things, the 7 checkboxes. this morning, i figured the battery would be back to normal, but android system and android os are killing my battery

I heard that too, but haven't seen any confirmation of this.
It's always at or near the top of my wakelocks.

Its really annoying
In the code on the following page 13800000.dexon_fb is mentioned 75 times. Does any body know what the code is for? Maybe it will tell some info regarding this wakelock

hi ,
Long shot...... "Facebook " app ?
.I have read ( quite a few threads in past) that Facebook app, can cause wakelocks and battery drain etc etc .
But then again i stated.."long shot "
good luck
I uninstalled Facebook completely, however the wakelock is still there. As seen from the code that I referred to above, it is not connect with 3rd parts apps. It looks like that it is connected with Samsung staff. Can anyone tell what that code is for?
Just ignore it.
It's a wakelock that is taken when you turn your screen on. The count is how many times you turned your screen on and the time is your screen on duration. It has zero effect on battery consumption.

Thanks a lot, only after reading your post I noticed that the time of this wakelock is the same as screen on time.

Thanks AndreiLux. I have my doubt about this wakelock 13800000.decon_fb as well. After a few googlings, it brought me here and I have the answer.
T
Facebook AppManager wakelock faulty
I just googled 13930000.decon.fb on Note5 abnormal wakelock and came here, now I know it's equal to SOT (thx to AndreiLux) but for those about to complain about abnormal battery drain :
Facebook consumes battery heavily, "and specially" when it is installed as system App with com.facebook.appmanager beside of it.
Uninstall/freeze com.facebook.appmanager or debloat Facebook totally, reboot and install it again from any market (Google Play is preferred).
It will still be draining but way much better than before
I don't think it has anything to do with screen... i get 1 hour and 30 minutes kernel wake with this on a 5 hours standby time during the night... and FB in hibernation mode by Greenify module. for now it's a mystery to me but just to satisfy my curiosity I'll see what can be done.
So One day after I updated to said build, my Lumia keeps getting very hot and the battery is being drained fast. Not sure if it really has to do something with the latest build. I used Diagnostics Hub to check the CPU load and it's constantly on 25-50% (so half the cores are on 100% load) I can't see the processes though. Do you have any idea what could cause this or any app where I can see the processes that are causing the load? I already uninstalled the apps I installed after I updated. I rebooted and took the battery out etc. What can I do to avoid factory reset for now?
Edit: I found out about the developer thing where you can access everything from the webbrowser. I can check processes etc now. Any additional help would still be appreciated!

I used the Windows Device Recovery Tool now to reset it :/ Will report tomorrow if it was fixed.
Edit: It's fixed now.
I had same problem with battery drain ob redstone build. Reload of stable version with WRDT fixed problem.
So, 3 days later it seems the device is running smoothly, no excessive heat anymore. Battery life seems a bit worse compared to stable version, but not untolerable.
I guess the first 5-10 hours after update Windows 10 Mobile is busy updating apps and syncing data. Afterwards things go back to normal.
Also, I've switched off "show More Ties" on Customization -> Start. Will test again with On soon.

anyone with problems should try to sign out from skype in skype video app or at messages setting -> skype.
got the heating after second try again, now with signed out skype my 1020 has cooled down. i hope battery drain is fixed now.

@masri1987
Hi... I'm not a wakelock specialist. But I would start by uninstalling all apps and try reinstalling one by one to see if the problem still occurs. Otherwise your best option is to post in the official BBS thread here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
From the screenshots, it seems like an app is preventing your phone from sleeping.
Just an idea.. Seeing your awake time ~7h and WiFi ~7h... Do you have wifi scanning enabled?
Settings>location>3 dot menu>scanning> wifi scanning. See if it's enabled. If yes, turn it off and see if it reduces the wakelock...
Hoping that helps
it appeared to be my kernel.
Iḿ testing with another rom\kernel combo today
I'm seeing exactly the same wakelock using Chad's Fastest v1.7 kernel and latest Uber ROM.
I've tried changing to Flash kernel and seeing the same.
Did switching kernels fix the issue for you?
You might want to try Franco's Servicely or Nap Time. The former shows which apps can wake up your phone and allows you to kill their background activity and the latter puts your phone in Deep Doze as soon as the screen goes off. It's so deep music apps don't work with the screen off unless you exempt them from power saving.
