R: Sns periodic wakelock
No one can help me?
Ive only one dashclock widget in the lockscreen (but i have it from about 1week and it did not ever cause any problems)
Today i have installed widgetlocker and used it for a bit...but disabled it really quick. Maybe some kind of caching problems with it? Now ive removed it...well see tomorrow. But if you have any tips i would really appreciate it

I also have this. I checked raw alarms and eBay was highest, so I've FC'ed it and I'm gonna see if it makes a difference.
Solved...For me it was widgetlocker that boosted my sns periodic wakelock :good:
how did you find that?
Also raw alarms is that in BBS under just "alarms?
Turning off locations in the Google settings app seemed to help with the wake lock & also android os seems to b steady now, will continue to see what's causing this issue..

I've tried turning off location but still no help. My phone stays Awake 100%.!
Please help. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I'm running Faux beta 13 r2 with PACMAN 22.01.

I have the same periodic wakelock. I am on PACman and I don't think I had seen this wakelock until I installed custom ROMs. My battery life has never been very good, so there must be an app that is doing this that I've had since I got the phone.
Is there a way to tell which apps are generating the wakelocks?

Hello guys,
I found something strange in GingerDX ROM that I have marked in screenshot
Even this process can't be stopped more than 5mins. It starts itself.
In other CM7 ROMS there is no such process that is running in background.
AS written in second screenshot "kept for better speed", may be this is the process that also provide speed to system but also drain battery.
What do you think about it..??? Did anyone also found this..???

I am prettu sure have this thing in cached processes, not in running processes. Click the grey or green line on bottom of screen and you will see...
Hit the THANKS button if I helped you!

android core apps is a cached process. so it rests in the green half of the RAM indicator line. closing it wud result in less RAM

GingerDX v022 on Stock Kernel... NO SUCH PROCESS
"Running" shows ...
Maps, Settings, Maps, Android Weather, 3G Watchdog, DSPManager, Google Services, Android-Keyboard.
It's also not listed in the "All" tab, and I even can't find it with Titanium Backup.
Better investigate which app/mod spilled it into your ROM.
My nexus 7 is completely missing the NFC chip settings under wireless and network- more - NFC and Android Beam. my nexus 7 is not rooted . the problem is not any apps I installed as in safe mode the problem persists. Attached is 2 screen shots of what it should look like and what it does look like. The photo with the setting in not my screen shot.
No screenshots. How are you sure it is not an app that is causing the issue?

this is the file. I could not get it to attach from the web on mobile. Safe mode(no user apps run) won't fix it.

Hi,
I just installed Xposed module Unbounce.
Could we use this thread to share our settings ?
It might help if you explained a bit about what Unbounce is for those that don't know, and link to the info
Xposed Repo - http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ryansteckler.nlpunbounce
Play Store - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryansteckler.nlpunbounce
It seems this provides the same functionality as Wakelock Detector and Wakelock Terminator. @Lennyuk Would you mind confirming this? And is there anything this or the other apps do that the other doesn't?

Not used it before, but as far as I can tell its like a hybrid between Wakelock Terminator and Greenify.
One of the first modules installed after root. Worked great on my aosp S3 and so far so good on the G3.
I set most of the settings to 300.

Now these work for me. I didn't unbounce everything that woke the kernel or cpu under 3 min. I get very few wakelocks anyway and my phone deep sleeps 90% of the day
I used unbounce "default settings" for 2 days and noticed a stutter swiping through my home screens. Using Nova launcher. I un-installed the app and everything was smooth again.
I'm wondering does Unbouncing(taming) do more harm than good?
Example: if a process can't complete a function, will it make more calls in an attempt to complete the process.

I have came across the thread where user have reported that their battery was draining because of facebook app and facebook messenger.
so first try uninstalling facebook app, and then check the battery draining condition,
even after uninstalling it's draining quickly, then hard reset and flash the ROM again.
Thanks.
Thank you
Try reflashing the rom

I will try it thanks but does anyone knows how to fix it with formatting or reflashing
You've got a wakelock. Grab Wakelock Detector off XDA and run it. Should point out the culprit.

This are the screen shots from wakelock
Looks like Whatsapp might be the cause.
I know this is hardly convenient, but try uninstalling Whatsapp temporarily. Or Force-stopping it and not opening it or rebooting for a few hours. See if the drain still exists when you do that.

He can use a Samsung system app disabler even without root, such as this one that I use:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hecorat.packagedisabler
Just disable the Google app package with this

Wow this looks useful - did you see a battery increase after using this? Don't want to pay really if its not worth it.

It's just a package disabler, and if you have a wakelock that consumes battery, disabling it will of course fix the problem. When the app is disabled, it's the same as uninstalled = it can't wake your device and no battery will be consumed
