For the past two days, I have been noticing huge battery drains. i had stock everything, no custom rom. android system was at the top of the list, and it kept saying it was the GPS, although it was off. so i rooted my G2 and downloaded system tuner, and turned off all the carrier IQ things, the 7 checkboxes. this morning, i figured the battery would be back to normal, but android system and android os are killing my battery

no and i have since deleted go sms but can you take a look at the two above wakelock screenshots?
ok so if anyone out there can help, my battery drain has been going on for about 4 days now. android system, android os, and mediaserver are the biggest culprits in that order. i greenified everything i could, but battery still sucks .
android system has had 4321 wakelocks in the past 9 hrs, with syncloopwakelock the biggest culprit with over 1000 wakelocks
phone has 2335 wakelocks, with 1600 from RILJ
I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR DAYS PLEASE HELP

Hello folks.
On my 2nd Nexus 4 device i have a massive battery loss since yesterday.
On this device there is no root since i unboxed it. So kernel and rom couldn't be the problem.
Here is a screenshot of the battery chart:

You may try installing BetterBatterStats and CPU Spy to determine which app(s) drains your battery. Unchecking wifi location in settings/location services will help to lower the battery consumption.

Seems unlikely an app would be able to instantly drain a battery from such a level...Unless of course the battery's levels are not being correctly read... In this case a factory reset might help... If it doesn't, it's probably a hardware defect.
Found this and this with several people complaining about the same problem.. No solution so far, except the suggestion to change the battery...

I highly recommend you guys to disable it if you want your battery to be better ?
How was your actual battery life with it on? I've been running Fit on my phone since the first Nexus 6 port was available. While it does hold a wakelock the hit to battery wasn't all that bad considering what the app does. I average maybe 30 minutes or less SOT time with the app turned on from 630 am to 1030 pm. I was impressed as I thought I'd be recharging shortly after lunch.
Will it still drain if I don't use it but have it installed. Somehow I see notifications on my moto 360 from fit.
Use Greenify Dude !!!

It working without notification in backgriund. I belive only solution , if You donĀ“t want to use it, is to freeze or uninstall this wih TiBu.
EDIT: looks like it is possible to disable Fit ( maybe ), under settings> Google Fit Data>and turn off Activity detection. I belive then it wont work ay more.
EDIT: nope...still working
Guys, it's not affecting battery. Don't constantly look for issues. I use Google Fit (cause I have a Moto 360) and it doesn't affect normal usage so therefore it's not an issue. If it WAS an issue it'd show in the battery graph and you'd kill your battery in a couple of hours - THAT would be an issue!

Yeah me too. I don't see any difference with or without Fit.
http://nexus5.wonderhowto.com/how-to/your-nexus-5-has-real-pedometer-built-in-heres-you-use-0151267/
There is not going to be any noticable drain because the app is using the low power core. It's the same core that was supposed to give us always listening Google Now when the phone launched but Google gimped us because of patent bs.
Uh, maybe. I don't know. Maybe because we have pedometer sensor built in so its not draining battery..
So One day after I updated to said build, my Lumia keeps getting very hot and the battery is being drained fast. Not sure if it really has to do something with the latest build. I used Diagnostics Hub to check the CPU load and it's constantly on 25-50% (so half the cores are on 100% load) I can't see the processes though. Do you have any idea what could cause this or any app where I can see the processes that are causing the load? I already uninstalled the apps I installed after I updated. I rebooted and took the battery out etc. What can I do to avoid factory reset for now?
Edit: I found out about the developer thing where you can access everything from the webbrowser. I can check processes etc now. Any additional help would still be appreciated!

I used the Windows Device Recovery Tool now to reset it :/ Will report tomorrow if it was fixed.
Edit: It's fixed now.
I had same problem with battery drain ob redstone build. Reload of stable version with WRDT fixed problem.
So, 3 days later it seems the device is running smoothly, no excessive heat anymore. Battery life seems a bit worse compared to stable version, but not untolerable.
I guess the first 5-10 hours after update Windows 10 Mobile is busy updating apps and syncing data. Afterwards things go back to normal.
Also, I've switched off "show More Ties" on Customization -> Start. Will test again with On soon.

Edit: oh recovery tool.... but have you updated again to 14291 after the WRDT reset?
anyone with problems should try to sign out from skype in skype video app or at messages setting -> skype.
got the heating after second try again, now with signed out skype my 1020 has cooled down. i hope battery drain is fixed now.

Suddenly, Battery usage screen becomes as in the picture...
It seems that ONLY Google Services are using battery!
In parallel, I'm experiencing an heavy battery drain: it lasts only 6 or 7 hours while before upgrading to MM it lasts more or less 23 hours.
In addition, if I modify "Privacy" settings as in the past I cannot use phone because Google Services claims to use PhoneCall!!!
Do you have some suggestion(s)?
Thanks in advance for your precious help,
M.
I had the same problem some days ago. Even after a full wipe, after some hours returned.
I solved it a week uninstalling Google Play Services and flashing OpenGapps from recovery. Now it seems all right.

Really? I have the same issue same like you, and I do like I said before, and solved,, have you do a factory reset?
you should try the following:
1) greenify play services (you need donation package)
2) use better battery stats to see what is the problem
3) use disable service from playstore to disable all the useless part of the play services (google for "disableservice play services" and you'll get a list)
4) change kernel ( i recommend boeffla)
p.s. can i know the theme of your phone? looks beautiful
My apologies for delay but it was a busy day...
Suddenly, all statistics come back again!
And I'm not really happy with that because it could means that there is something wrong in this ROM
About theme: it is Deep Darkness by Moelle.
Hello guys, I have an annoying battery drain issue on my Galaxy S7 Edge. I searched the forum, installed many custom roms, the battery life improved so much but then I realized the issue with degarded camera quality on custom roms (Floyd Q Rom). I flashed back the official stock rom to my device.
I also use Sony Xperia XZ2, which has the greatest battery life I have ever experienced on any android device.
Is there anyway I can solve this issue, I am on flight mode all the time just to preserve the battery level and connect to internet for a few minutes to check emails only. Kindly refer to the attached image (screenshot) and help me out. Thanks in advance.

Use an app like Wakelock Detector to know which apps are sucking the battery since boot.
