Suddenly, Battery usage screen becomes as in the picture...
It seems that ONLY Google Services are using battery!
In parallel, I'm experiencing an heavy battery drain: it lasts only 6 or 7 hours while before upgrading to MM it lasts more or less 23 hours.
In addition, if I modify "Privacy" settings as in the past I cannot use phone because Google Services claims to use PhoneCall!!!
Do you have some suggestion(s)?
Thanks in advance for your precious help,
M.
I had the same problem some days ago. Even after a full wipe, after some hours returned.
I solved it a week uninstalling Google Play Services and flashing OpenGapps from recovery. Now it seems all right.

Really? I have the same issue same like you, and I do like I said before, and solved,, have you do a factory reset?
you should try the following:
1) greenify play services (you need donation package)
2) use better battery stats to see what is the problem
3) use disable service from playstore to disable all the useless part of the play services (google for "disableservice play services" and you'll get a list)
4) change kernel ( i recommend boeffla)
p.s. can i know the theme of your phone? looks beautiful
My apologies for delay but it was a busy day...
Suddenly, all statistics come back again!
And I'm not really happy with that because it could means that there is something wrong in this ROM
About theme: it is Deep Darkness by Moelle.

Hi guys,
I'm just curious if is normal to get so many Awake locks, while the phone is on idle:

}
If is not, can you please tell me how I can fix this?
Thanks.
That don't look normal to me. Do you use latitude?
Latitude off, clear data and cache
Diced it here ... Too bad cause its a nice feature
I had this too.
Uncheck 'Use wireless networks' in the Location and security menu
and make sure you are signed out of Latitude
Ya I use latitude all the time so my friends know where I am.
I use latitude as well and I have the same issue. Maps gives a TON of wake locks with it activated. Problem is, I want to use latitude. I really don't understand the need for the constant awake time. It only updates the information every so often, it shouldn't be constant...
There is a defect for this bug that has been declined: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=15057. I hope google will get to it at some point.
Thanks for the link. I did a test and I get like 24 of battery with the phone on idle... IMO is an amazing time... I might be wrong. On my old Pre2, I could of only DREAM of such specs. Still, if there is a fix to improve the battery with Latitude on, I'll take it.
Let's see how 2.3.5 update goes. Anyone knows when is it scheduled on generic firmware?
Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with my XXKG3.
I got a Map update couple days back and the issue seems to go away. Will keep an eye on it.
Too bad, latitude is nice.
Had the same issue about one month ago , and solved it by uninstalling one of the google map update via Titanium Backup and everyting went back to normal .
May be it's related to one of those "updates" , and as mentioned before you should try updaing to latest version ( if available ) or downgrade to lower version .
Hello folks.
On my 2nd Nexus 4 device i have a massive battery loss since yesterday.
On this device there is no root since i unboxed it. So kernel and rom couldn't be the problem.
Here is a screenshot of the battery chart:

You may try installing BetterBatterStats and CPU Spy to determine which app(s) drains your battery. Unchecking wifi location in settings/location services will help to lower the battery consumption.

Seems unlikely an app would be able to instantly drain a battery from such a level...Unless of course the battery's levels are not being correctly read... In this case a factory reset might help... If it doesn't, it's probably a hardware defect.
Found this and this with several people complaining about the same problem.. No solution so far, except the suggestion to change the battery...

Okay thanks. I have the same problem like the seconde guy.......
For the past two days, I have been noticing huge battery drains. i had stock everything, no custom rom. android system was at the top of the list, and it kept saying it was the GPS, although it was off. so i rooted my G2 and downloaded system tuner, and turned off all the carrier IQ things, the 7 checkboxes. this morning, i figured the battery would be back to normal, but android system and android os are killing my battery

android system has had 4321 wakelocks in the past 9 hrs, with syncloopwakelock the biggest culprit with over 1000 wakelocks
phone has 2335 wakelocks, with 1600 from RILJ

He can use a Samsung system app disabler even without root, such as this one that I use:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hecorat.packagedisabler
Just disable the Google app package with this

Wow this looks useful - did you see a battery increase after using this? Don't want to pay really if its not worth it.

It's just a package disabler, and if you have a wakelock that consumes battery, disabling it will of course fix the problem. When the app is disabled, it's the same as uninstalled = it can't wake your device and no battery will be consumed
Today was the first day in the one week I've had my oneplus 6t that I've had high google play services battery drain. It is at 11%
Has anyone experienced this, and what could have caused this?
My battery life wasn't that good today
Yes, same here today only, never noticed before. I kept wondering if I installed some app or may be some beta app sign up.

Could be one of these several updates from Google too, may be Google app? I am beta too.
Getting it here too, 20% when other apps are like 2-3%s. It must be a service issue then.
+1. Not as high as you guys but it definitely higher than normal.

This happens with all phones, even the Pixels. Update all your apps then clear the google services data. Reboot and usage should be about normal now.
Are you sure? That would reset all accounts and other info.
I tried Files by Google to clean up system files and that seems to clear it for now.

I remember reading something about this last week. I have the newest app don't see any issues...yet.
This has started happening to me now, first couple of days it was fine then it kicked in. The battery stats say it's running when in active use for 2hrs 2 mins but my screen on time is only 1hr 50 so I'd don't really understand that?
I had high Google Play Services drain too (about 12%). Turning off wifi and bluetooth scanning in Settings -> Google -> Location -> Scanning. Also disabled "Improved Location" under Google Location Accuracy in that same Location page. It brought my standby drain from 2% an hour to 0.5%. Google Maps is still fast as ever at locking my location.
