[Q] HELP mali 450 gpu gaming issues - Android Software Development

hai friend iam from india once i was a proud owner of i9300 ,gaming and only gaming was the only major thing doing on my phone amd mediatek announced mt6592 octa core chipset with mali450mp4gpu i planned to buy a phone powered by this new chipset on this jan 14th i brought a phone called"INTEX AQUA OCTA" a phone with mediatek MT6592 chipset ,the problem is when i play games like asphalt8 and gangstar 4 vegas i am not getting high graphics like when i play these games on i9300. there was an option to change the graphics properties on the game itself but the high and medium graphics are faded out. i rooted and installed cwm recovery on my phone and changed several model numbers in build.prop to aquire the high option setting on these gamese to turn on at last the GT-I9505 MODEL NUMBER IN BUILD.PROP turned on the high garphics mod in game setting but iam not getting the graphics contents like i play these games on galaxy s3 i thought that mali 450 mp4 is better than mali 400 gpu
what should i do to get graphics like galaxy s3 on my intex aqua octa powered by mali450mp4 gpu where should i modify to get graphics like that any help will be accepted like dust of gold i can seny u any part of the rom of intex aqua octa the benchmarks are also very impressive on antutu it scores more than galaxy s4 and in nenamark2 i got 60.3 fps and in fps meter when i play games like asphalt8 or gangstar vegas i get average 45fps the specfications of intex aqua octa is
MT6592 OCTA CORE 1.7GHZ WITH MALI450MP4 GPU 700MHZ
2GB RAM 16GB ROM

Only ARM Cortex-A7 running in Exynos 5 Octa core processor

Just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 internatiional version with Exynos 5 a few days back.
According to the SYSTEM TUNER App my SGS 4 is using ARM Cortex-A7 core whether i run cpu demanding apps like large games or i do low cpu demanding tasks like web browsing.
Help..!!!
if it has lcd instead amoled, its possible that a7 is only used

as i know every frequency higher than 600MHz = A15 cores
install cpu spy and post pic after some use

Lol do you really think that a quad arm a7 would score the high numbers you see in benchmarks? System tuner is not optimized to check for other cores as well I'm just guessing here

[Q] Nexus 4 GPU performance

Hey guys,
Thanks for lending me your time towards my question...
As we know,
Nexus 4 has an Adreno 320 single - core GPU and Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC
My question is..
Is the Adreno 320 capable enough to run future graphics - hungry games?
And tegra 3 possessing a 12+1 core GPU, is Adreno 320 better than this?
Regards....
Adreno 320 is about 250% better in tests than Tegra 3.

Haha, Tegra 3. The Tegra 3 is by far the worst quad core chipset available in popular devices, my friend's One X lags even when playing Super Hexagon. The N4 has been able to run every game that I've thrown at it so far smoothly so I don't see why it shouldn't be able to in the future. Even the newer One and US GS4 use the 320 so it's clearly a great GPU.

[Q] POWERVR SGX 544 gaming

so s4 has powervr sgx 544 has anyone experience lag on high end games ex vice city gta 3 mc4 gangstar vegas rr3? Is the powervr sgx544 a dominant gaming GPU? if so these inercom phones are quad core http://www.amazon.com/inercom-Unloc...&qid=1372472174&sr=8-1&keywords=inercom+x920e and have powervr sgx 544

The galaxy S4 i9500 has PowerVR SGX 544MP3, im not sure if the MP3 part is any different or not, but from my experience i dont really experience lag, and i've tried it on gta vice city, MC4 and zombiewood.
From those china phones, i dont really trust their hardware and their 1.2GHz mediatek chipset, so i guess the only way to find out is to buy the phone and use it.
Other alternatives is buying 2012 phones, those are pretty cheap now and still runs good.

Erm... No?
MediaTek 6589 chips are at the very least equivalent to Tegra 3.
Ok example iPhone 5 got PowerVR SGX 543MP3 (triple-core graphics) which is very powerful gpu.
Sams i9500 got it PowerVR SGX 544MP3.
in my opinion PowerVR SGX 544MP3 is a god like until Adreno330 witch is advanced as F.
Nook hd plus has powervrsgx544 1.5ghz dual core processor and i heard it has google play store now, if this a good tablet that can be used for gaming? I can get a 32gb one for around $180 would anyone recommend this?
Powervsgx533mp3
Galaxy s4 (I9500) have PowerVRSGX544 MP3 which means it only have 3 core compred to the GPU in Th new ipad PowerVRSFX544 MP4 which has 4 core. But the galaxy s4 gpu has been overlcoked to 533 mhz. so... yeah you wont experience any lag issue i think. If u are not sure just check out the videos in utube about galaxy s4 gaming performance, theres a lot of it and you can judge yourself

Actually Adreno330 isnt THAT much Advanced . it provides a total of 3 fps plus in some benchmark and some even tend to lag behind the powervr such as fillrate ofscreen. but the adreno330 benefit from 4k Playback which i really see it as one of today must have in a GPU

What about Open GL 3.0 which Android 4.3 and Adreno supports, Powervr won't support it.

If you take the iPad 4 into account, it's SGX544MP4 + a dual core 1.4GHz GPU is about to push the most demanding games at retina res.
If theres lag with the SGX544MP3 on the S4, it is the developer's fault and partly google
One of the reason why I choose i9500 over i9505 is the powerVR gpu...

Why GT-I9505 is faster than GT-I9500 if it's a quad core? And what to check?

Why GT-I9505 is faster than GT-I9500 if it's a quad core? Apparently I'm lucky enough that GT-I9505 is even cheaper than GT-I9500 in the Motherland marketplace.
Also, is there anything that I need to check before purchasing? I can open the box, check what's on it, etc etc before buying it. Is there any fault I should check? Like S2 has few faulty models with bad chipset and you can check that easily before purchasing.
afaik the 9505 model has a Qualcomm 600 or 800, both in my opinion are better than Samsung's octa core. And besides only 4 cores are running at a time on the octa core.
It's more like two quad cores than eight concurrent cores. The one in the i9505 is faster.

You guys are forgetting 3 things
1.the octa core s4 has a cortex a-15 quad core as the bigger core which is way faster than the Qualcomm one as the Qualcomm one is a9
2.there might be lags in overall animations but benchmark wise the octa core beats the quad core to the ground
3.if u guys really wanna see which ones better.wait for a stable AOSP ROM for i9500 and then compare
Wait n see how smooth n fast the i9500 actually is without Samsung's crapware

I9500 is one of Samsung biggest failure, they rushed to launch it with their "octa" core, and they released an unfinished product with flaws.
I9505 it is faster after newer updates, and btw i9505 has OpenGL ES 3.0, i9500 doesn't.
So games will run smoother and with better graphics on Android 4.3+ on the i9505.
They're both great devices, but Samsung really fwcked up with i9500

1. yes, octa core has A15 Quad Core, as the big core. but the qualcomm one has Krait cores, based on A15, not A9 .
2. i do not know this, benchmark doesn't reflect real life usage.
3. hope so

I lost my trust in Samsung Exynos processor due to the Mali issues in I9300 which make the development of I9300 way slower than the USA's S3. It took CM team so long to get a stable build out of it.
Anyway the good thing about the I9505 over the I9500 and for me even the Note 3 is having a Google Edition. At least porting new Android versions from I9505G to I9505 is easier and faster access to updates.

Dude ...adreno 320 GPU doesn't support all features of open gl es3.0
It just does it for namesake
And that GPU is way too old
Whereas powervr 544 is the same one used in phone 5 I guess which is like a 100 times faster than adreno

Uhm the Adreno 320 is actually as powerful as the powerVR SGX544 MP3 even if its running at a slightly lower clock speed... Ive hit 21 fps in gfxbench T-Rex and 52 in egypt Offscreen so its definitely not weak... Its also much more power efficient... I can play asphalt 8 using the performance governor for a good 3 hours straight easily...

Qualcomm's processors sucks monkey balls. Its the GPU that is pretty that too only at supporting new APIs.
Imagination have pushed an API Extension which will enable OpenGL ES 3.0 key features.

If you're talking about the gaming performance on the iPhone 5 compared to the adreno, forget it. IOS has more optimised gaming apps and I'm not too sure if you can get 60fps on the octa core S4 in asphalt 8 either. Hmmmm...

[Q] A bit confused about the GPU on SM-N900

Hi guys,
I am going to buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 soon. However the variant which is available to me is the N900 with the Exynos 5420 processor.
The thing is that, I am a bit confused about the GP. It is running a Mali-T628 MP instead of the Adreno 330 on the N9005 models. Will I notice a visible difference in gaming? Is the Mali that bad against the latest Adreno.
Also, do you think that the HMP patch that Samsung hinted at, to unleash the true 8 cores might affect the GPU performance later on?
The processor is the only thing that is stopping me from getting this variant. Please guys, help me out on this.

Adreno 330 is so good but
Mali in note3 is Octa GPU and clocked higher than adreno 330 (u can find and compare by wikipedia)
both of them are so powerful however adreno shows more score in graphic benchmark but it s not that high but cpu in exynos is about 2000scores more than snapdragon (in antutu benchmark)
anyway u won't lose anything if buy snap or exynos both of them are awesome
:good:
