Well some reason my gps screwed up. Couldnt get it fixed so decided to just wipe everything and start all over. Unrooted with SU. Did wipe. Now wont go past the first Samsung screen where it shows the lock that is unlocked. Tried to go to odin mode, got there but odin isnt recognizing the phone.
Any ideas?
(I have looked around but nothing came up with my specific problem)

Well I got another cable and now it shows up in odin, but fails when I try to run it.

What were you running? Did you try reloading Odin and trying again?

yes i did a bunch of times i think i was running 2.2 dont remember which rom but it was a team whiskey one for sure but it just bootloops at the team whiskey animation in the beginning

I tried to do a CF-Auto root and as it was going through the process my phone fell and unhooked the USB cable. Now, the phone is stuck on "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Does anyone know how to get out of this screen or is my phone completely dead?

Okay, so I just kept trying to get back into the download mode and it eventually worked. However, I am still stuck....Odin failed because "There is no PIT partition"....does anyone know how to fix this?

I was able to fix the problem. If anyone gets this problem, you need to make sure you are using the stock USB cable. If you use any other brand, it will not work. Hope this helps!

Check over here. Also make sure you run CF-Autoroot 'As adminstrator'. Also it doen't matter what COM port as long as it shows up.
hello iam having a bit of trouble trying to get my phone working its currently stuck on firmware upgrade encountered an issue etc etc when i press power button, ive tryed to re flash with ODIN3 about 10 x all failed here the results ...any help please guys.....

I'd try downloading a new firmware to see if you get the same issue. I've always used a pre-rooted Odin flashable ROM and have had no problems

I'd make sure your PC has the latest version of the Sammy drivers and Odin before flashing aswell.

if you use single tar file do not check re-partition option
open odin use default auto-reboot and F.reset time only

Do you think the JTAG can solve my problem?
Did you try basic stuff like:
A different usb cable
A different usb port
A different pc?
You are not running Odin on a virtual machine are you?
Did you try redownloading the firmware? Did you try other firmwares?

The former owner tried to update the android to Lollipop, but did not know what he was doing and it now only comes into Download mode (not enter recovery mode). I've tried to go back to stock rom via Odin, but gives the error "There is not PIT Partition". I tried to rewrite with the PIT file, but gives the error "Failed Repartition". In last resort, I tried to erase the Nand, but neither worked. I've only had USB cable, door and computer, but all without success. I have a "junk" at hand?
