My LG G2 att variant would not boot after installing Grievous RSL 4.0. I believe I had the wrong twrp installed. I am stuck and cannot boot to android. I can boot to download mode but lg flash tools does no good because the model number does not match and says it is d802. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cannot boot to recovery. I have only a black screen when not booting to download mode...
Check if you have adb access when you are on black screen.

No adb or fastboot access with the black screen. I have tried all night. Idk what else to do. I did the Linux option and now it says null next to imei and product number is blank when trying lg flash tool. For some reason I cannot get the lg launcher program to work either...

I know how to fix this, Ive got the same problem once before.
Download FlashTool.1.0.54, start UpTestEX and choose CS_EMERGANCY in PhoneMode in the top right cornor and take CDMA as type to the left.
And flash the right .kdz file for your model.
It will work. Cheers!

Hi All,
I had TWRP recovery on this LG D802. Because download mode wasn't working i flashed a stock recovery. Since that moment i don't have:
- Recovery mode
- Download mode
- Fastboot mode
The phone is in a boot loop though. It flashes the LG logo on and off. The phone isn't being detected by the computer.
I hope someone can help me.
Kind regards.

This is not to dampen your spirit but if it is not detected by computer then it is very hard to get it back to life. But I guess it is not detecting by computer because it is not fully loading(at least some of the necessary files loading). If you aren't able to get into download mode or fastboot mode, I guess you may try the method explained in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
Hope your device get back to normal following that thread, you need Ubuntu for that method to try, but that's(installing ubuntu) not a difficult.
Thank you for your answer. Onfurtantely that is not helping because for that manual the mobile needs to be detected by the computer.

Then I suggest you to completely switch off the phone(I hope you already done that) & leave it for some time and then try it after some time. Did you use the proper stock recovery when going from TWRP to stock recovery(I mean the recovery that is intended for your phone model)?. What I think is that as long as it is seeing some sort of life(it is going as far as LG Logo), there is a hope that it can be recovered. I think some thing is messed up in recovery or boot or one of those partitions that are checked during the boot.
You need to first download the kdz and lg flash utility with drivers.
Install drivers
The factory reset deleting system, cache, internal sd.
Then shutdown your g2.
Start to downloaded mode connecting your g2
Flash kdz & voila... Done
I too bricked my phone before. My flashing stuck at 49%. Recovered using above method, all is well now
This works 1000%. I bet on it. Just remember to wipe the phone completely before flashing. You will return to stock with unrooted status in download mode. U will have your warranty back too

ok stop copy pasting same thing on different places if you would have read you would have noticed in the beginning he can't eneter download mode
On which system did you try it?
Maybe try Windows,Mac and something like Ubuntu.
Also take a look at this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
It worked for me, maybe it does for you too.
I have an LG G2 D802. I attempted to flash stock firmware on it and it went horribly wrong. Now, I can't even get into recovery or download mode and when I power it on it just has a black flashing screen.
I tried using this method but when I type ls /dev/sd* no big number sdb comes up.
When I plug it into my PC it comes up in device manager as QHSUSB_BULK.
I really feel like I am screwed and out of options now and just have an expensive paperweight.
Any help? Thanks.
[Edited] I've seen you already tried those method, for now I'm suggesting you to go to LG service center..

This saved my. I was stuck in fastboot with g2 as ADB modem in Windows.
No need for Ubuntu, works in win7. Try it. Not much to lose..

I think I might have made a little progress. I followed this guide in VMware Ubuntu and pushed the files to the appropriate partitions.
Now when I power on I see the LG logo and it goes to fastboot mode.

Is there anything I can do from here?
I tried to download via lg tools and flash something and failed.
when you restart the phone gave me the black screen.
I run ubuntu from the procedure
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
after trying this procedure, the phone remains fixed on the lg logo.
How can I fix ??? I pray you are in a panic ...
the computer does not recognize the phone more
:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
What phone model do you have? Sounds like you might have to boot into download mode and use the LG tool to go back to stock completely.

I have a d802
the phone is stuck on the lg logo.
As per the procedure would have to start the recovery but will not start.
Not part of the download mode.
I can get into factory reset but the pc does not recognize.
It seems to me a serious case. The guarantee how it behaves in these cases?
Dont you have recovery to flash new rom via ADB?
Try with ubuntu once again it will work out
ubuntu does not recognize the phone more.
The recovery is the original one.
Make sure the ports on the pc are set to 41. Do you have the drivers in the pc as well?

I tried to flash android l onto my lg g2 but when i did it only booted into fast boot mode so i did some thing where i went into cmd and transferred img files and removed the phones files. This is where i went wrong. Now i can only boot into download mode and security error bootloop. So what i did first is i tried to flash the dll through lg flash tools and there was a model error so i used this other file as the dll which ignored the model number and all i get is an error. I have has this for like a month and i sent my phone to lg twice and they didn't fix anything. I really screwed up and need help PLEASEE!!!

Does your download mode screen have 5 blue dots on it? Or does it say 'firmware update' with a couple arrows and a progress bar sitting at 0%

It has the 5 dots and then it switches to the firmware update screen.

Well that seems fortunate. You flashed the wrong rom initially so the phone is being recognized as a different variant. Do you know what you specifically flashed that caused all these issues?

Doesn't quite give us what we need. Do you have a link to the exact rom perhaps?
I recently got my hands on a bricked LG G2 D800 because i thought i was deemed unbrickable. I got the device the backlight showed life and that was about it. i managed to somehow get (this method i think) it to boot to the LG logo and than it jumps to fastboot mode.
Yea me!!! I got fastboot and this phone is as good as fixed. NO! fastboot does not work. It will absolutely not execute a command besides "fastboot devices" to which it brings up a fastboot device. Since i got fastboot my plan is to follow this thread to recover the device. i updated all drivers that i need for this device, nothing. Plain and simple, there is an issue getting fastboot to execute command. the commands appear on the device but it doesn't advance further.
Download mode. Yeah i get the download mode that I get is a "security error" so its not the traditional download mode. if i get download mode i can flash a .tot right? Wrong. Fails due to "model information check". i got the phone to appear under COM41. The .tot file is 'LGD800AT-01-V20c-310-410-FEB-02-2014+0.tot'. Drivers does not seem to be the issue at hand, unless maybe its the ADB/fastboot drivers which i also updated to newest version.
The next thing im contemplating if this method is worth the shot. I have it booting to fastboot. I will probably do this since its probably the only thing left to try. Going to set up linux now so i'll report back.
Any help/insight will be appeared and properly thanked for.
I also got security errors on an 802. I was about to leave the phone in download mode and ran the LG Mobile Support Tool to perform an upgrade recovery to get a stock LP ROM onto the phone.

Link(s)?
I just downloaded the LG Mobile tool from LG Canada. Just search for the d802 and download the program. The program should detect your phone and download the correct firmware.
http://www.lg.com/ca_en/support/software-manuals
I actually have the d802 and it worked with the LG mobile program from the Canadian website.

nope windows 10
I restored my phone using Win7 and I think there are some LG programs that do not work properly with Win8/10. I think one tool is the flash tool.
Does anything appear in Win10's device manager when the phone is connected?
