Either that or they just didn't have many in stock -- I check 1saleaday daily, and there are some items that just tend to sell out really quickly, "hot" or not. Thankfully, since I check it daily (11:00 ritual...), I stumbled upon it early and was able to snag one.
Also, sometimes they re-run an item again a few weeks after first having it, if they ended up with some left in stock. There is a *slight* chance that they could have another run of them at some point.

I believe once a very long time ago... it was pretty good. Maybe some others can chime in with their recent experience with squaretrade. The only recent dealings with them was a few weeks ago. I purchased a warranty for my infinity tablet, after 2 weeks of the warranty i returned the infinity for a note. Called squaretrade and got refunded quickly and i was able to get another coupon for when i buy a warranty for my note. Its not bad for the price, 69.99 (30% coupon) for 2yrs with accidental. Plus if you ever sell the tablet before you warranty runs out, you can get some money back from squaretrade. I have some other items with their accidental warranty. I believe you have 90 days to purchase from squaretrade if you bought your device at a retail store.

So I'm sure there are some people out there that ordered a device and when the said device got in their hands it wasn't what they expected.
Mine was a White front, navy back and silver accents. I'm not too sure how I feel about the white front. I have mixed feelings about it so I decided to chat in with the Moto X support people to inquire about the exchange process. I told them I wasn't happy with the colors and would like to exchange it. They told me there were two options available.
1. The would take my CC info and put a hold on it for the full retail price of the phone, they would email me a code to design another and a return label and said once I get the new device send them back the old device and the hold on my card would be removed. When chatting in with him he said he would need someone to call me back within the next 24-48 hours.
Today no phone call but all of a sudden my inbox lit up with 3 emails. One with a code to customize and order my new device, one with my RMA info and one with the FED EX return label. I couldn't believe how easy the process was. I's very much like how they do things with devices from the play store. I was so thankful I didn't have to deal with AT&T on the exchange because I've had bad experiences with that and them in the past.
2. The traditional RMA route. They send you a label, you send your device, they get it an then send you the code to make your new one.
besides my experiences with the play store, this was a very easy, non frustrating and very quick process.
Also if you're like me and are kind of on the fence about the color you picked, (don't hate it but just not sure) you can then have two side by side and compare before you send yours back if you go with option 1 above

My bet would be they will either have a mass sales of the crappy colors later or the back and trim is easy enough to remove that they just change them out make it black or white and send it to a carrier as a refurb.

I took my black one into a corporate store and returned it with no restocking fee so that I could order a new customized one. It was actually the easiest interaction I've had with AT&T.

Yep, just found that out myself too actually. I had to get a in store one because I'm on day 11 of my 14 day return period with Verizon. However, I do like the white woven back on white front. Im sure sometime soon we will be able to reassemble the back and buttons on our own.

Curious, just wondering, I purchased mine today from Verizon and later found out that a Developer Edition will be coming out. Now will we be able to trade in for a Developer edition? I will be glad to pay the difference because I believe that the Dev Editions come with 32GB.

Damn that sucks. Well I just talked to Verizon and they told me once my Moto X comes in the mail I can return it unopened and not get hit with a restock fee. Now I'm gonna have to find out exactly what the cost of the Developer Edition would be.

I'm waiting on the Dev ed as well, though if the devs get the regular X's bootloader unlocked, I think I'll just Moto Maker my own. Either way I'm paying full price.

HTC Hot Deals 11/11 - $300 HTC One, who nabbed one?

I can happily say I'll be back in the HTC One family as soon as mine ships! I managed to nab a $300 Developer edition HTC One, really excited about getting it
I'm currently back on a Nexus 5 to try Lollipop, but I'm selling it as soon as the One hits my doorstep.
Did anyone else take advantage of this sale? It wasn't as alluring as grabbing the new Nexus 9 at $199 (which, for the record, d move to do on 24 hours after releasing it), but it was still a great deal for anyone looking for a flagship phone at (probably) less than half price.

I already got a T-Mobile M8. And I was able to nab a glacier silver unlocked edition. For 299 lol. No nexus 6 for me

I got one for the sole purpose of making a profit by selling it, considering that I already have an m8 that I bought at $800 when it first came out!

Got one - I assume, the page crashed when I submitted my order, but got the order email and they charged my card, I to have the nexus 5, not sure which one I'll keep, pass the other down to my son.

Yeah I'm actually on the exact same boat right now with the nexus 5. Overall the HTC is a better phone (hardware wise - especially audio-wise, for both recording and output). There's obviously more profit to be had by just selling the One in-box though.
I've had the One before, it's an awesome phone. It just got a little too banged up without a case/skin so I traded it in. Letters came off and all that - I just never said anything in the forum. Definitely not making that mistake again though; I'm putting a thin case or skin on it.
I think I've come to the realization that even better than having the "best" or newest phone (I.e. nexus 6 or 6 plus or Note 4), is having gotten one of the best deals. So, good-enough value trumps newness. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.
