Need TW4 2.3.3

Hi all
I've upgraded to every version of 2.3.4 (leaked of course). But somehow my TW4 launcher homescreen pages stutter, more so when scrolling left to right. I don't know whether any of you have come across something like this coz I couldn't find such a problem in the ROM threads.
Well I could only think of one solution for this. Replace TW4 2.3.4 with 2.3.3. I don't know if it would work but that's my best bet.
In order for me to try this out can someone please upload the file with it's odex counterpart. I'm afraid I don't have it. Looked everywhere but couldn't find it.
Probably my last option would be to flash back to a 2.3.3 rom and get it from there. I hope you all would help me out before that.

I had the same problem, the samsung task manger widget was the cause of the problem. Once removed it was super smooth....

Hmm will try. But i use the bloody thing so often.
Edit: Looks like you were right mate. I would like to test more though. Did you happen to come across a solution?

Unfortunately not my friend... I have learnt to press and hold the menu button, gaining access to the task manager that way.

Well thanks for your help mate. Still, if someone could share the old TW4 from 2.3.3 roms, I would like to give it a go. Never had such problems back then.

Download a custom 2.3.3 rom with TW4 and extract it .
Or search the dev threads where the old/removed apps are posted .
Might even be in Themes section .

The problem with custom ROMS is that they are all deodexed. Since I'm using stock kg6, I don't think they're gonna work.
Maybe I'll try searching again when on my computer.

I have a stutter on my menus, but not all the time.when it starts it makes the phone pretty bad to use.
Was thinking of upgrading from kf3 to kg6 to see if that helped. Factory reset didn't.
Maybe this task manager widget is causing my problems to too. But does your stutter happen only on home screen. When mine happens it affects everywhere.

Sorry that's all I have. I have a E3D and ripped it from iceandfire nightly, saw this thread and decided to help out a bit.

I tried this customizable tw launcher before, probably an earlier version, but it just gave me constant crashes and freezes. The program monitor widget doesn't work on it. Needs a modified version of it.

best custom rom

i am looking for a custom rom for my sgs2 but dont know witch one feeds my needs. looking for one close to the original one but with lots of tweaks en add ons in it like battery mod and extended menus. whay do you guys suggest?

Try cognition 1.5 it's quite close to stock with lot of additions like advanced power menu and tweaks. Definitely a rom to try.

Don't listen to them, just stick to samsung firmware... all custom rom are not stable and they release just for market testing.

1) slow in viewing photo and internet.
2) battery usage not stable
3) will not be able to do multi application
4) ...

Try DarkyRom2, very close to stock without any unecessary tweaks. Running perfect without any issue and great battery life with Speedmod kernel t27

never had any of them troubles with leomar perhaps you have been trying the wrong roms mate
leomar is stable , has great battery life , can be customised greatly via themes/mods/patches as one wishes via his application , offers great support ive dontated 3 times his support is so good and is generally an amazing piece of work where he listens to users and trys to offer what they want
i have tried a few others but just found leomar to be a great dev and his rom to be top notch stuff
check it out

thumbs up for LeoMar Revolution ROM.
he is also one of the most helpful and active devs here.

stable, A LOT of themes, very easy to use configuration app

im use criskelo v14 on my sgs2 and for me its the best rom

litening v5 with ninpheta 2,0,5 rock steady...
no problems what so ever.
nice and long battery life, fast browser
nice launcher coming with it.
no wipe rom it is simply a nice and stable rom

I sense the problem you have may be in fact user error rather than the ROM being unstable. Which ROMs did you try that weren't able to "do multi application"?

SUPER rom tweaks without a rom...

Here's some new code that will give you all of the tweaks and goodies found in the best roms but without having to flash a rom. These work on the SGN10.1. This is not my work, just passing it along. If you break your rig that's on you.

Yeah I ended up trying it and it definitely makes the battery drain even slower and the wifi speed is faster!! Everyone should try this ASAP there's soooo many tweaks and it managed to make this tab faster....I honestly don't think jb will improve that much especially using these tweaks!

I just Flash it few minutes ago. Definitely tweaks the system. I can feel it. I just don't try all the tweaks. Hulu Is not working for me. Crash the launcher.

One thing I notice is that I can now play HD YouTube videos without buffering issues. Also web browsing seems very quick.
Anyway not sure how all the tweaks will work with our bit if kit here so I just went with the ones I recognized.

I must not have selected that option somehow. I have been getting a lot of buffering issues watching HD youtube videos since flashing this. I will try again to see if that will fix it.

tried it.
wifi on, downloading content via app, played temple run, opened sms app, pressed menu, then opened sms app again, boom! booted.

You're the second person today who has reported reboots with the sms app. That's not a kernel problem.

I would suggest you to download FPS app from market. It displays current FPS during gameplay, so you can see which ROM/kernel gives higher FPS.

SlimBean has been created to try to max out performance by cutting out all of the clutter. Maybe consider adding this rom to see how it holds up?

i reckon these tests aren't very useful
i used to run air kernel [email protected] and i got ridiculously high FPS in 3d tests
but the system would still crash or lag after opening and closing a ton of apps/games, only remedied by a restart

Its not possible because it needs android 4+ but there many many themed browser of chrome use search button

No chrome For SGY because chrome requires Android 4.0+ And Atleast 512 Mb of Ram so Better use Dolphin browser,Maxton browser Or opera all are good And freely Available in play store

Not possible, even if so, it will lag alot.
I highly recommend opera mini because it's fast, minimalistic and smooth, though when downloading big files I use dolphin
