You're the second person today who has reported reboots with the sms app. That's not a kernel problem.

Okay currently uploading its bad but I'm learning soo

I would suggest you to download FPS app from market. It displays current FPS during gameplay, so you can see which ROM/kernel gives higher FPS.

SlimBean has been created to try to max out performance by cutting out all of the clutter. Maybe consider adding this rom to see how it holds up?

i reckon these tests aren't very useful
i used to run air kernel [email protected] and i got ridiculously high FPS in 3d tests
but the system would still crash or lag after opening and closing a ton of apps/games, only remedied by a restart

Stock gs2 gallery app is fast but isn't smooth

As far as I know I haven't seen anyone post anything concerning this. I used the nexus one before coming to gs2 and it's gallery was smooth. Is there anyway to fix this? Or is it just me.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
My gallery works great. You might try going to settings, applications, all, gallery, then clear data. This should just clear the thumbnails. The OS should rebuild the database for the gallery the next time you use it, but after that it should be smooth.
I would recommend backing up all of your photos first, just in case this deletes all of your photos instead of just the thumbnails
Use quickpic
Don't worry, it's due to get replaced soon
It can be ROM problem, for example in Skarbnic ROM the thumbnails are blurred a bit.

There is a post somewhere which mentions you can get rid of the lag by removing the oc daemon, i did this and its all speedy fast now.
Really mm Im working on it.to remove it and I let you know thanks alot bro

Well just to let you know if you r runin blackout ICS the way to avoid lag is choosing ultrasmooth and in daemon controller change cpu freq to smartassV you will notice the diference right away

Fast DHD
The DHD with Blackout 3 rom is extremly fast compared to before with the official HTC, which was always lagging or crashing... It is a very impressive job from the Blackout team! :good: Thank you!
PS: the demon controller was set up conservative as CPU Freq. I just change it to smartassv2 as buhor suggested. Did not see much difference since it was fast before already.
Cant see why htc didnt do their own ics after all, its so much faster than stock/gingerbread roms.
The only thing i dont like about 4+ is that third party apps like gocontacts/sms cant sync pictures from facebook.
anyone have this problem? when i made/received a call, i have to reboot the phone otherwise when the next call i made/received, the other party will not be able to hear my voice, although i can hear them clearly. According to them, they only heard some distortion noise in the background.
I pmed them but have not yet received a reply so i just post here to ask.
maybe you should wait for the update. Im sure it wont take long
Thats weird I would recommend a full wipe reinstall it..if doesnt work try a dif radio......I ve tested several ICS and this One is the most stable 4 me

UPDATED 03/21 [KERNEL] ~GamerZ Kernel~ [CPU-OC 2157MHz & GPU-OC 320MHz]

~GamerZ Kernel~
By installing this your warranty is now void... wait a sec, wasn't it already void? Hmm...
Okay, up on my soap box for a minute:
Don't expect to be able to set your CPU to a ridiculously high clock and then every thing work right. I cannot tell you what the limits of what your CPU can handle are, because they are all different. I do however recommend keeping it at or under 1914MHz to avoid any RR's or FC's in the middle of your game. If you attempt to OC more than your CPU can handle your TouchPad will freeze up and restart with the default of 1188MHz, and don't worry it's still okay!
UPDATED:
Okay, I've updated the frequency tables with some new frequencies and lower voltages for better stability and battery life! I've also now updated the 2D and 3D GPU to 6 scalable frequencies including 2D frequencies up to 270MHz!
This is DEFINITELY worth the update!
Right now:
29 CPU Frequencies:
192,384,432,486,540,576,648,702,768,810,864,918,960,1026,1152,1188,1344,1440,1512,1566,1620,1674,1728,1836,1890,1914,2022,2103,2157
3 GPU Frequencies: (3D 320 & 2D 270)
More features to come in the far future...
How to install:
1) Download
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Flash
4) Reboot to GamerZ and set your desired frequency
NEW:

Also I wanna ask some right direction in this forum for official method in rooting & installing CMW. Also possibility to overclock? Thank you. Benchmarks don't mean anything. Plus you can't judge a phone running a different version of android against another, you will never have a semi accurate reading. I don't have lag in the playstore so it could be caused by your WiFi, data connection or possibly the stock rom. I am running AOKP which has been great.
This phone doesn't like to be overclocked either so I don't recommend trying that at this time and I believe most kernels removed the option too because people were overclocking then running benchmarks which killed their phones. Use MSKIPS Nexus 4 tool to root and install CWM, its the simplest way to do this.

mine isnt that responsive. i find myself making a slew of double and triple clicks. not to mention the pinch to zoom and scrolling responsiveness blows chunks for everyone.
I have none of these issues and it sounds like you are talking about screen sensitivity and not the cpu..
And apparently it cannot "blow chunks" too badly or you would return it.
I think these issues are all blown out of proportion. I don't see many or any actually that are parting with the Nexus 4 due to these things.. Personally I don't notice any lagging at all and the touch screen sensitivity really isn't something related to the lagging the op was referring to mentioning benchmarks anyways .

Play any type of game that uses the CPU intensively. Once the thermal throttling kicks in, you'll notice the stutter.
And the zooming sensitivity is out of whack. It's like i have to molest and grope my screen in order to get the same distance that I would get from my N7000 with a slight pinch-to-zoom.
Moved to Q&A as this is where you ask questions. Please post in the relevant sections going forward.
Thanks
