I got my first chance to play with this phone today, and I've been reading these forums for a while. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the row of shortcuts and select which toggles to display in the notification pulldown. It is too cluttered for my liking. I will probably root and re-rom the phone after I get it, but I am curious what modifications are possible on the stock ROM. I asked the guy at the store and he knows less than I, and my coworker with the G2 is a noob and I can't help her much with the GUI.
LG G2 Xposed on the play store is your best bet. You have to install Framework and activate that module using Xposed Installer on the xda forums.

As mentioned in the title, I'd like a smaller nav bar (half the original size is preferred) for 4.4 AOSP (I'm running PA) on the D801.
Thanks!

I wanted this too, but I've found at least temporary happiness with the ultimate dynamic nav bar app and it's auto hide ability. Just tap at the bottom for the bar. Free ver also keys you add menu key which I hated not having.

The Gravitybox module for Xposed Framework allows you to do this.
You guys don't like Immersive Mode?

Thanks a ton! This mod not only works, but it has a ton of other things I've been looking for!

It's nice, most apps don't support it (cough cough Asphalt) , and plus I just like a small nav bar.

No worries, it's definitely a feature packed module. Just be aware that certain things won't work with PA4 because it's not "pure" AOSP which GB is built for but still does a whole lot of handy things.

Hi all I've had my g2 for about 2 days now and I'm really loving it. The only thing I don't like about it is that I cannot get the status and navigation bars to be transparent in all apps. On my s4 I was able to get the status bar to be transparent all the time. Does anyone know how to make both the status and navigation bar transparent on the g2?

You don't. The apps have to specifically allow for transparencies. And only Android 4.4 has an official call method.
So it won't happen on stock.
Unofficially, root, install G2 Xposed, and check it out! This is what you need.

Hello fellow forum members, hope you can help me a little with this. I had my first G2 (sprint version, gsm unlocked) that I had to return to sprint for a tech issue and just yesterday got my replacement. Anyways, on my old G2 I used novalauncher because I like the stock android look and dont like to flash new roms on it. Well, on the old G2 when using novalauncher both the nav and status bar where fully transparent and I loved how the G2 looked that way. But now with the new G2 I always get a white nav bar and black status bar no matter what settings I use. Was there a change to novaluancher in the month that I didnt use it? do I need to do something else to enable the transparent bars? my device is rooted btw. Thanks for your assistance!
Anyone? Any input would be greatly appreciated

How did you set up the transparency in your old g2? What I know is you can't set transparency in nova with stock 4.2.2. You have to used xposed.

Well I don't remember exactly what I did, but what I'm sure is that I didn't install exposed or anything like that....

My LG G2 vs980 doesn't have the option to change icon themes now that I'm on kitkat??? The home themes are still there but if I long press the icon then push the little paint brush the different icon theme doesn't come up when prompted? Installing kitkat based themes from the internet doesn't work either? Any body else having this problem?
