D801: Can't reboot into Clockworkmod Recovery, only TWRP - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have TWRP installed and CWM as well but I can only reboot in TWRP even if I flash CWM it will still reboot in TWRP
I tried rebooting in recovery by the volume up+power key but the LG logo just flashes really quick then it reboots normal.
When I try to flash the CWM image using Flashify, it just goes to the black screen and says "fastboot mode started" then I just end up rebooting.
I want to use CWM so I can install Cynogenmod 11 because it doesn't seem to work on TWRP. When I try to install the zip it just says "Error executing binary zip..."
Here's some info about my phone just in case it helps
Android 4.2.2
Kernel: 3.4.0
Build: JDQ39B
Software: LG D80110G

If you just want to install CM 11, you can do that with the latest version of TWRP (2.6.3.5), which can be found in the CMB Rom thread for T-Mobile Development: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2568732 . You should be able to flash that by putting the zip onto your phone and installing it with your current TWRP.

I can't flash it. It goes into CWM recovery mode and says that fastboot mode started still

Erm so now you have cwm!?
Your better off with the latest twrp anyway. Just fine the latest version for your phone. 2.6.3.2 is no good.
You can have only 1 recovery at a time.

Solved!
I figured it out! I was flashing the zip file of the 2.6.3.2 and that's why it didn't work. I flashed the open recovery image file instead using flashify and I was able to get into TWRP recovery mode from there I installed the latest version of TWRP. At first it failed but that was because I had checked the zip verification box and "use rt formatting" or whatever in the advanced settings. Unchecked them and installed successfully :victory: finally I installed CM 11 and it's great
Thanks for the help flutterguy317!

Issue trying to flash CM11 Official Nightly with TWRP

Anyone having issue flashing CM11 Official nightly with TWRP?
Tried with both version, 2.6.3.2 and 2.6.3.3. Both failed to complete flash.
didn't work for me. now I can't see my phone in adb or fastboot.
Same... Now stuck on CM boot with no way to get into recovery or power off
you can get into recovery... just push power + volume down..... once it shows LG emblem, release the buttons and then push them again..
it'll show factory reset ... just push the power button 3 times .. it'll then reboot to twrp recovery
I also have problems installing cm11 using twrp v2.6.3.2
(I have done a factory reset).
get the set_metadata_recursive: some changes faild
error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/Download/cm-11-20131221-NIGHTLY-d802.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/Download/cm-11-20131221-NIGHTLY-d802.zip'

If you have ADB access, you are in a good spot.
You'll have to ADB sidelaod a ROM, and flash it. shouldn't be hard to find info on.
Good luck.
congratulations for not saying your bricked.
you probably get an error when flashing right ?!
you need a newer version of twrp... get a flashable zip and update itself in twrp. then you will be able to flash roms.
Yep. darkobas is correct.
I missed your TWRP version. find 2.6.3.3 push it (I mistakenly said sideload above) and a ROM to your 'SDcard', then flash TWRP, restart to recovery, and flash ROM (and any other required packages (Gapps, system patch, etc).
adb push path/filename /sdcard/filename

S4 I9505 - Ressurection Remix - Can't Access TWRP 3.0.0

I'm running ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.6.5-20160316 with the latest TWRP recovery and Xposed.
The last time I used the recovery was on 22/03 to make a backup of my ROM (I've entered the recovery more than a dozen times before this backup with no issues).
Today I wanted to switch from Ressurrection Remix to crDroid (Ressurrection for some reason becomes laggy after use and only a reboot resolves this issue).
I downloaded all of the zips I required (ROM, GAPPS, SU etc.)
I selected to reboot to recovery using the advanced reboot option.
The phone rebooted and displayed recovery booting in blue as per the norm.
The TWRP splash screen showed for around 10 sec or so then the phone rebooted (this never happened before).
Thinking that this was a bug with the recovery, I tried turned off the phone via the power menu once my I got into MM and then removed the battery and used the power + up button combo to enter recovery however still no go.
Next I tried flashing the TWRP 3.0.0.tar file via odin, still no luck.
The question I have is how do I resolve the issue?
Try flashing a different version of TWRP.
Or flash an twrp.img file via the app Flashify.
Ok to downgrade?

I found a custom version of the recovery made by the JDC team http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../jdcteam-twrp-touch-recovery-3-0-0-0-t3312115.
I flashed the recovery using flashify.
All fixed now

Bootloop on OP2 after 3.1.0 OTA

Hello everyone.
I've recently got the notification from the updater saying that oxygen OS 3.1.0 was out and awaiting to be downloaded (was on 3.0.2).
Since I unlocked bootloader/installed twrp/installed supersu when I was on 2.1.0 I wanted to update using the same method that I had used to update it before: install full zip of 3.0.2, install zip 3.0.2->3.1.0, install supersu
Problem is after I've done this the phone was stuck into booting animation when booting into system.
And since I'm dumb and nervous I thought that wiping /system before the installation was the solution.
So once again, this time with also system wipe, full 3.0.2->ota update->install supersu
Now you already probably understood that not only the phone is booting forever, but also I lost access to twrp and only have fastboot showing up when trying to boot through power+vol up
What can I do? What did I do wrong?
Thanks for the attention
Edit: I can access recovery, had the wrong combo of buttons going (i was pressing power+vol up but it's power+vol down)
I repeat, TWRP is fully accessible
Edit 2: Since TWRP was fully accessible I reinstalled both full zip and 3.0.2->3.1.0 zip without supersu and it booted... What did I do wrong with supersu?
Depends on the SuperSU zip y supposed you need the one specific for oos3 beta or h2os

I fresh installed 3.1.0 but after booting up and flashing supersu v2.78 i get bootloop. Before it always worked so i think we need to wait for an updated version of supersu.
I boot in fastboot modes by volume up + power and then connect with pc en boot in recovery with fastboot command. 'fastboot boot recovery.img'

Did you try flashing the modified SuperSu 2.78 zip?
I had the same problem until I flashed the SuperSu mentioned from Spannaa the post before.
It happened to me too and the fix is to flash the modified supersu.

Download the full OOS 3.1.0 zip from post #1 in the Oxygen mirrors thread and flash it via recovery.
If you want root, flash a SuperSU zip from the same post.

How do I install any other ROM on Redmi 2 Prime currently running MIUI 8?

I am currently using MIUI 8 and i hate it.
I want to go back to Resurrection Rom. But the problem is when installing, i think i used wrong command and flashed the boot image (fastboot flash boot).
Now if i install any ROM other than MIUI 8, it does not work. Goes into bootloop. I can boot into TWRP recovery using fastboot. But after successfully flashing my Resurrection Rom, the phone starts, MI logo appears and it reboots again after a screen flicker.
Please advise on how i can install Resurrection Rom again. Also i can only boot into recovery using TWRP 3.0.0, any other recovery like Stock, Philz (CWM) are not working. I can only boot into recovery using fastboot boot twrp3.0.0.img command.
Thanks

If fastboot method is not working for 3.0.2.0 version then ,Just try to flash t.w.r.p 3.0.2.0.img (download from here)by flashify or rashr app. Then reboot in to recovery and flash any custom rom.
u can also flash recovery image file by your existing recovery.
And why using only fast boot command?U can boot to recovery by updater app or button combo.
