What is LG Intelligent Agent? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am interested to know what is LG Intelligent Agent? I think that maybe taking some battery away from me, and want to know if it's safe to disable it without messing with anything? Thanks.

I'm like 99% sure it's safe to freeze, but if you want to be sure there's a thread somewhere where someone found like 50+ apps that are safe to freeze and listed them all.

What advantages are there to keep it running? Like what is it suppose to be doing?

Nobody really knows, just like much of the other bloatware on the phone
Rumors say it will turn your phone into a dumbphone Nokia 3310 without the same durability, so I am afraid to do it myself.

it's needed for some stock features like Text Link.

So far I can't notice a change in battery life with the screen on, but I've noticed at idle it is a little better with battery consumption.

Yeah, that's a bug in the phone. Sometimes when you use it, the battery level goes down.
Just kidding, so what is the problem? Do you think the battery level went down too fast? You are gonna have to give us more information. What background tasks do you have running? Widgets on the home screen? Etc.
I run beautiful widget and my home screens are mostly full well three of them ate nvm close this thtred

One of the reasons I did the camera post was to help other people figure out how to do these type of mods.
I encourage anyone who wants this mod to tear apart the file and try it themselves.

The full charge popup in itself is an apk, and probably called by some service that listens for full batt status. The low battery notification is embedded WITHIN the camera apk or another apk which requires some haxoring to get rid of it.
Be patient. If adrynalyne says hes working on it, then hes working on it.

That's due to Root Explorer not always controlling/reporting rw status correctly. There's an app in the market "mount /system (rw/ro)" look for it and use it to Mount r/w then use Root Explorer to copy stuff into your /system.

Black stock text messaging mod?

Is there any mods to change the stock colors/layout of the text messaging on the ATRIX? I don't want to use go sms or any market replacement, as I don't trust them.

Rather than give him a stupid nonsensical answer that would leave him empty handed, I gave him an out, which is equivalent.

Or you could do what I did and give him two options, which work based on what he asked? And that signature is stock with the app, haven't bothered to change it. Bought the app to support the site, maybe you should stop posting when you're on the rag.

Just wanted to say hi really. Ive jusr upgraded from the HTC Desire/Bravo which I had rooted and moded so after a while I'll probably do the same to this.

If you're already rooted, please please please BACKUP your EFS. Use this tool (EFS Professional). Only after that backup you'll be safe to completely hack your phone away. Place that backup in a safe location, like dropbox. Cheers!

This is one great device and I was kinda sceptical at first with all the newer a15 processor devices out but hell this bad packs a huge punch and it's pretty snappy to me!
All you need to know is in the sticky notes under the developmental area.
I use a prerooted stock odexed myself which seems to give me a faster but longer battery life than all the others I have tried. Just need to delete some unwanted bloatware is all!

There is an aweful lot of bloat ware, it's the only issue I have with the device so far.
I tested the battery today streaming HD video, heavy browsing and not letting the screen go off for long. The device lasted about 6 hours on some serious usage.

[Q] Imessage?

Sorry if this is the wrong section for this.
I know in the past you could get imessage on Android, but there were a lot of security concerns with it and now even that app is removed from the google play store. Is there any secure way to get the app? If not what app is the closest to it? Right now I'm using textra, and I really like it, but I have noticed some bugs with it. Most people I text use iPhones so that's why I would love to get imessage. I'm rooted if that helps with anything.

Doubtful it's safe. Considering the only other methods I've seen involved using a Mac or iPhone as a proxy to connect it, it has to run through one somewhere, and there's no guarantee it's encrypted.
