stuck in recovery boot mode

i was following a thread to get CWM and eventually android 4.4.4 onto the stupid phone http://www.trueandroid.com/2014/07/update-at-galaxy-s4-sgh-i337-to-android.html
i used a program to load teh CWM boot loader and then had it restart the phone. however, something got jacked and now my phone is stuck in a recovery boot loop.
running nc1 software at&t. non-rooted (kot49h.i337ucufnc1)
odin just fails trying to flash philz_touch_6.08.9-jflteatt.tar.md5
all i get on the screen is the system recovery menu and a android guy on the screen with "No command." message
any options from here ? i just did a keis backup of the phone before i left the house today (about 2 hours before i f'd up this phone).
please help, thanks !!!
i got the same problem.
it says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue".
i got it after i tried flashing "CF-Autoroot" via ODIN.
i wonder what went wrong.
how do i resolve this problem?
PLEASE HELP! :crying:

I actually just let the phone sit at the recovery screen and it came back up.
I originally used towel root and rom manager to try and load the cwm software.
Back to square 1 tomorrow

[Q] at&t S5 frozen at start screen

I have a galaxy s5 from AT&t its running 4.4.2. It is rooted with towel root. yesterday I did a reboot to have some settings stick in android Tuner. The phone would not go past saftstrap. since then its stoped at the boot screen. it still says custom but is frozen there . I can get to the stock recovery and it will let me load an update "zip file" .. How do I get it back to stock so I can start again. Can I use odin to load a stock rom or will the bootload stop that. .. Im kind of new to android so I could use a little help if you have time.. I tried to load a rom through a zip file in the stock recovery.. It started to load just fine then I got this error E: Footer is wrong

You will need to take the ota update back to NG3 then your phone will be back to normal. You currently have the NG3 bootloader on the NC5 build and kernel.

If you can define the procedure you followed for updating to Android 5.0.1, then I can think of something.

Well, your phone isn't dead but you might have to wipe your phone. I'd start with doing a factory reset in the stock recovery. That will wipe your device
Sent from my Nexus 9 using XDA Free mobile app
Go to stock recovery and you can trying wiping /cache first, and then reboot. If that does not work, go back and do a full wipe.
Did you use the toolkit? If so, this happens everytime for some reason. Your phone is not broken. Just give it some time after rebooting and should bring you to the setup menus.
