[Q] HELP! I obliterated recovery! Verizon LG G2 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Alright, So i rooted my lg g2, for some reason couldnt flash anything using TWRP. i flashed cwm, only to have my recovery screwed. I tried flashing back to stock, but couldnt get into device manager for some reason, im running windows 2002, I NEED my phone hopefully by today. Im kind of a noob when it comes to this stuff. With my recovery obliterated, i did a stupid thing and accepted the OTA update from verizon and i think im stuck inside some kind of bootloop. it shows the lg logo along with some writing at the top left hand corner, something like a error message it seems like. PLEASE HELP. How do i fix this?

but my problem is that it wont boot into recovery, Im really stressing out. ive seen that link but not sure how im supposed to do stuff without recovery. it boots then shows like a few little messages on the top left corner, then turns off

It has nothing to do with recovery. Read the forum he linked VERY carefully and follow their steps. If you still can't get it to work, then ask for help.

I recently got a Galaxy S4 from att and I rooted it to be able to remove the bloatware. I tried to install a program called icon theme for rooted phones to customize my phone but when it rebooted it stays stuck on the Att boot up screen. Please give me suggestions on what to do. I am very new to android phones and rooting. Thanks in advance.

just plug in your device to your computer and follow these steps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41274147&postcount=5
this will completely disable Xposed, so you'll have to redo any other mods you had from it

i know that... im asking about the freegee app
Download the recovery and use flashify from the market to flash the recovery. Also no boot loader unlock. We don't,need it at the moment as the recovery uses Loki which bypasses the boot loader

I emailed the Dev a couple of weeks ago. He said an update was coming soon for us g2 users, although I haven't seen it happen yet. Not sure if I'd trust it yet.

[Q] ATT I337 Stuck at ATT Logo

My phone is stuck at the ATT Logo screen and no matter what I do I cannot get past it; I tired to boot into recovery mode to wipe data but it won't let me boot into recovery mode. I've went to Odin to and put on a new .pit but I also failed that. Before all this happened I was on MF3 (rooted) and I wanted to unroot it so I could get the OTA and root my phone on MK2. So, I unrooted my phone and got the update and when the phone went to reboot it got stuck at the att logo. Any advice/ solutions would be great. Thank You.

Might help. The OP is an abortion of grammar, but if you can piece it together, it should get you going.

Had the same issue a few days ago. TWRP, CWM, and Philz wouldn't flash properly, but I'm pretty sure it was my fault. Currently I have CWM installed by FreeGee (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=edu.shell.freegee_free).
WARNING: You should know that there is a risk with using FreeGee. If you don't plan to use download mode, you're good. But currently, I am without download mode after flashing. Still trying to figure out a way to fix it. System works, recovery works, but I cannot revert to stock at the moment.

Are you sure the phone turns off ? Or is the screen blank? (not off but rather gray?)

OK, let's return to the start.
1. You're sure it's rooted and SU is working? Rootcheck is on the play store and you can use that to check
2. In FreeGee, did you tap on a recovery on the bottom? And did FreeGee freeze on this step? Did you give FreeGee root access/permission?
3. If FreeGee installed a recovery, it won't automatically reboot. Have you attempted to reboot into recovery? If you're not sure if it has installed, I would not recommend going through the hard reset page because if it's not actually installed yet, you would go through a factory reset. You could download an app to boot into recovery though (I.e. CWM ROM manager, TWRP, or quickboot. All free on the play store.)

Sprint LG G2, can't install a custom recovery

Hello all, I've got an LG G2 LS980 on 4.2.2 Jellybean. (I do not want to update to Kitkat) I cannot seem to install a custom recovery. I've read multiple guides and followed them all perfectly.. The ones using loki flash always give an error such as "Not a valid loki image" or "aboot version does not match the device" I've tried using the dd command on teamwin's site as well and all it did was completely remove my stock recovery. I've spent days trying to get this to work, please could someone help

You said you read multiple guides, so I'm sure you've done this one already. If so, I would suggest you .tot to ZVA and start over. I first installed recovery on ZVA and didn't have issues like yourself.
