[Q] Find5 UMTS900 version third party support - Oppo Find 5

Hey guys, im interested in this phone. I'm living in Poland, so i'll probably be going for Indonesia UMTS900 version
i have a few questions, i searched into forums, but topics are old, and something might have changed
1. Do International and Indonesia versions have the same hardware?(besides umts900/1700 support)?
2. Will third party roms for international versions work with Indonesia Version?
3. If yes, will UMTS900 work with most 3rd party roms?
4. If i install latest ColorRom on indonesia version, would it support UMTS900?

i'll try to answer your questions. I'm not a 100% sure though.
1. I believe they do have the same hardware
2. As in an other thread mentioned: flashing kernel/rom doesn't touch the frequency stuff (I don't know it, just looked it up). But as always you should do a nand just in case.
3. should be answered with "2."
4. removes the link - dunno if i am allowed to post it ^^ But going to the oppo's official website and looking up the find5 indonesia version should answer your question.

[q] lg g2 320l korean version now in uk

I am requesting assistance with basic development of the Korean 320L Variant of this device. I chose it due to the removable battery and 64gb micro sd card capability over the standard version available here in the uk.
I have achieved Root which is excellent but would like a CWM/TWRP based recovery if this is possible. I have tried the Korean Telecom 320k version to no avail.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated, I have already looked at the existing threads for answers but I see none (I may be missing something!)

I think i know what it might be.Did you update to the last OTA before you try the recovery?If the answer is yes then this is your problem,and you will need to revert back to stock to do so (and stay there until a new recovery img for the new rom arrives).

BolloXXX to that! Thanks for the update though. I guess I will have to wait for a workaround.. Times like this makes me miss the simplicity of a Nexus and an unlocked bootloader.

Its very easy to go back to another rom if you want,i did that with mine like 3-4 times already :good: You just need the rom and FlashTool.1.0.54.
They do have the K variant roms for download here:Btw S and L models are pretty much the same,mine is the S one but if i open it it says F320S/L.Even flashed it with the K software with no problems at all.
The latest that works is 10M

Hi jody04c and woof123
I too have an f320l model. Have you managed to get this to work on UK LTE/4G connections? I have an EE 4G Sim but can only get 3G. Various people are saying different things.
The pda site says limited band support, but the 5457#*320# menu has LTE Band 3 and LTE Band 7 listed. The latest Korean manual for 4.4.2 OTA update now also lists Band 7 support in the manual too.
However, I notice that In Korea LGUPlus don't use these LTE bands (according to wikipedia) and so I was wondering if I should just root and try loading the K or S ROM which might open these up?
I have seen the return to Stock page - for me to use that, will I need to Root first? Any advice on rooting the Korean variants (sorry if this is listed elsewhere, I'm not a familar user here and often find several threads with different details/steps).
Thanks in advance for any help here.

So has anyone had success getting the f320l working on uk 4g by using stock/custom s/k rom. As suggested here hardware with s and l seem to be same or similar, and the l model is used by lugplus who don't support EU lte bands so probably block through their software, whereas skt on the f320s support bands on EU. The latest f320l ota update also says it supports band 7, but it didn't work with uk Ee for me with default settings.

[Q] Model number is 9507?

I have just gotten my new S4 and want to put on a custom rom to bring it up to 4.3 as it currently has 4.2.2. But I am apprehensive because it has a model number of i9507. Therefore, two questions:
1) Is this an issue?
2) Is there a rom out there that gives me the look of stock but the functions of Touchwiz (I like the Air Gestures/Smart Stay/Dual Shot etc).
Additional info if it will help,
Handset is from Optus Australia and is referred to as "4G+" by Optus.
And I have searched here to no avail, although similar questions were asked.
Thanks.
Really?
No one on here's familiar with this variant?
Although saying that, even a Google search doesn't give me much information either.
Is it the dualSIM Version?

[Q] SM-G900M can I put another firmware on it?

I've bought today a S5 (SM-G900M) from Costa Rica. It doesn't support Chinese input keyboard. Can I flash the Taiwan (SM-G900I ) firmware on it?

It's not recommended to flash firmware for other variants. It may well cause problems with various things like NTE and bluetooth, wifi not working. Or even brick your phone. It's also a frequently asked question, so if you search the forum, you will find a wealth of details and elaboration in existing threads.

replace Korean Samsung S8 (SM-G950N) stock ROM with another one from Spain.

Hi All,
Please excuse me in case this was already adressed in other post.
Case: I bought in South Korea a brand new Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950N) Exynos version. Im very happy with the phone but there are a few diferences between this one and the spanish version of the phone. For example, since in Korea apparently is not legal to silence the shutter of the camera there is no option in the phone to remove this sound. Other things are for example the apps that by default are installed in the phone. In my case the carrier is KT and I have a ton of apps that I cannot use or Im not interested.
Questions:
Q1.- Is there a possibility to install the samsung stock rom for the S8 clean (from Spain for example) and get rid of all this crap and at the same time maintain all warranty and Updates as any other "not modified" phone?
Q2.- Will the software change once i insert the SIM car from my spanish carrier showing me option available in the S8 spanish software version that i cannot see now from the Korean version?
Q3.- can I use a baseband from any other carrier and if not is there compatible basebands with my phone?
any help will be much appreciated.
thanks in advance.

I have a Korean phone (g950N) and have done everything that you want to it EXCEPT my warranty is void. Initially, I rooted the phone and flashed a different stock ROM. Since then, I've flashed a custom ROM (Renovate-ice) as it gives me far more options and flexibility. During the installation, you can choose the country you want and it will add all the relevant software and frequencies etc.

AFAIK you will not get to the result you want, as long as you don't want to void your warranty (knox 0x1).
Flashing a g950F Firmware on a g950N device will lead to a not booting phone.

Also, no. Your CSC won't change when inserting a different SIM.
As to the third question, I can't answer.
But if you would be willing to void your warranty, you of course can change the csc to a spain one, get all the spain carrier bloatware and can deactivate the shutter sound.
voLTE ISSUE
I am facing a similar problem.
i bought a galaxy s8 (SM-G950n) from south korea. But here, in india, i can't use voLTE. i can use LTE and other band at ease except voLTE. Then googled and found that indian csc code installation may help. But the problem is that the phone i have is single sim and the indian model has dual sim. If i flash the indian stock rom will it brick? If it bricks i can't gp back to south korea to resolve that. i contacted the korean samsung service but their help didn't work.
Give me a strong solution.

Way to change language in S5

Hi,
Yep, change the language.
No, it's not that simple as you might think - like open up preferences and choose correct language. Or install some kind of soft that doesn't work properly (not localized to the end).
Phone I'm referring to, is made for US market probably, hence no European languages there. It's SCH-G900P, and from what I googled, it's a Galaxy S5 Sport (for US).
From what I know, best way is to reprogram the firmware with European version. But, but.... I've got few details to find out, like:
* which FW to pick - is that country and network, which phone is operating in ? For example, I need to change language to Polish - so is it a difference between Polish networks (in terms of FW features that I'm going to download) ? Is it more safe to pick exactly the same network firmware, or it makes no difference at all (maybe except some bloatware) ?
* what about WiFi calling feature - for example British BTU and British EE are quite different - first one (unbranded) won't allow this, and second one (EE) - will do, so maybe it's better to use British EE firmware to get more features (and other languages should be built-in) ?
* S5 do have 2 various CPUs (from what I know), does it matter, or all FWs are common ?
Thank you forany clues.
Cheers,

According to SamMobile, the CSC selection for the Sprint S5 (SM-G900P) is as follows.
BST = Australia (Boost Mobile)
SPR = USA (Sprint)
XAS = USA (Sprint)
VMU = USA (Sprint)
XAR = Cellular South
The only other option would be (if it can be done) is to Unlock the Bootloader and search for a way to be able to flash a Compatible Custom Firmware that has the language your looking for like the SM-G900F.
I've never tried this myself on either of my S5 Devices but, see if any one of the following threads/links are helpful.

Thanks for reply.
I don't know how it happened, but apparently I had unlocked bootloader as I was able to install TWRP and flash custom kernel with no hassle.
Now looks like there's only one custom firmware that supports multiple languages, including Polish: Beanstalk (thread present in Sprint S5 group). However I can't check the rest of its features as Pixel Launcher constantly hangs up.

I'm not sure but, I had thought that the LineageOS has a multilingual feature...
You can always ask this question within the following Official LineageOS thread for the klte variants.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3680666
Just keep in mind that the LineageOS for your device is the "KLTEDV" and the above thread is the support thread for all variants that doesn't have their own Official LineageOS thread (like yours).
If you need to, you can always try to obtain some member guidance within the following Q&A thread that's specific to all GS5 devices.

Good Luck!
