I've bought today a S5 (SM-G900M) from Costa Rica. It doesn't support Chinese input keyboard. Can I flash the Taiwan (SM-G900I ) firmware on it?

It's not recommended to flash firmware for other variants. It may well cause problems with various things like NTE and bluetooth, wifi not working. Or even brick your phone. It's also a frequently asked question, so if you search the forum, you will find a wealth of details and elaboration in existing threads.

Are the firmwares for the tablets in subject interchangeable? the NU is the North American version and I'm wondering if I could flash a European version of the T330 to support mode languages. I want to add that sammobile has the firmwares listed under different codes.
Anybody knows if it is possible to flash an LTE firmware on the WIFI version of the same tablet? Thanks

I dont know, but I highly advise not install LTE on WiFi only tab, since there are hardware differences and you most likely will brick your tab

Hi,
do you've already got any further information on this? For I have the same problem: in the US we purchased a tab for my mom, but she isn't doing too well with the english UI (though she already got used to it - it's still android, after all ).
Anyway: there's also a WiFi-Version (SM-T330NZWADBT) of this tablet. Is there anywhere a firmware available for download for this particular model? And: is the firmware interchangeable in this case, as it's wifi-to-wifi straight?
Regards,

So can I install firmware from sm-t230 on sm-t230NU cause I want Polish language. or it's hidden and hidden languages are achievable with morelocale2?
"Locale More" did the job for me, all it requires is to run one adb command and it works well without root.

Hi guys,
I was wondering if I can flash a stock Australian / International firmware on my SM-G900K ??
If so which MM 6.0 unbranded firmware would you recommend?
Reason for this is currently my SM-G900K has Korean dialpad and other branded bloatware ....
Thanks All!

Beware flashing different firmware can lead to bricked phone that you might need J-tag to bring it back to life.
But you can use the Rom of it but if its very similar hardware with some changes.
Hi Everyone,
I tried searching the related forum posts about this, but I can't seem to find a conclusive answer to this. I'd like to flash a firmware that allows me to use the FM radio on my Snapdragon Galaxy S8.
I know that the T-Mobile firmware supports it, but does the generic SM-G950U (XAA) or Canadian SM-G950W (XAC)?
Alternatively, does anyone know if there would be any issues with trying to use the T-Mobile firmware with Fido/Rogers?
Thanks!

I don't know about the U version, but you should be fine using TMo firmware. I think you just have to make sure you flash the Fido/Rogers baseband and one other file but I forget which one.
Did you find how to do it?

Hi Guys!
I tried to find a thread where this questions is answered but I have not found anything.
I am thinking about buying a Galaxy S8 Duos because I need two sim-cards (work an private). As it is only available as Asia-Import I would like to ask if there are any limitations or some facts I should be aware of.
I found that the LTE frequency should be checked if it works (I live in Austria and it seems to be no problem from what I researched so far).
Besides of that I found some comments where they said, that messages would show-up with chinese or other asian letters. If it shows up, can this problem be solved just by flashing a stock s8 firmware?
Thanks in advance!
I have S8+ Duos. Using it in Poland. No problems at all. No need to flash firmware as I just selected English while starting. As a result no Chinese letters are seen at all. I roamed with it in EU and in Asia. All is fine.
It should work without issues
Thank you!
I bought it and I am very happy - everything works perfectly fine

it was factory unlocked or you have unlocked it after purchasing ?

I was unlocked when I received it. But I read somehwere that the first time activation can only be done with a regional asian sim card due to some "regional lock". It seemds like that this was done before I received the phone.
Hi All,
Please excuse me in case this was already adressed in other post.
Case: I bought in South Korea a brand new Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950N) Exynos version. Im very happy with the phone but there are a few diferences between this one and the spanish version of the phone. For example, since in Korea apparently is not legal to silence the shutter of the camera there is no option in the phone to remove this sound. Other things are for example the apps that by default are installed in the phone. In my case the carrier is KT and I have a ton of apps that I cannot use or Im not interested.
Questions:
Q1.- Is there a possibility to install the samsung stock rom for the S8 clean (from Spain for example) and get rid of all this crap and at the same time maintain all warranty and Updates as any other "not modified" phone?
Q2.- Will the software change once i insert the SIM car from my spanish carrier showing me option available in the S8 spanish software version that i cannot see now from the Korean version?
Q3.- can I use a baseband from any other carrier and if not is there compatible basebands with my phone?
any help will be much appreciated.
thanks in advance.

I have a Korean phone (g950N) and have done everything that you want to it EXCEPT my warranty is void. Initially, I rooted the phone and flashed a different stock ROM. Since then, I've flashed a custom ROM (Renovate-ice) as it gives me far more options and flexibility. During the installation, you can choose the country you want and it will add all the relevant software and frequencies etc.

AFAIK you will not get to the result you want, as long as you don't want to void your warranty (knox 0x1).
Flashing a g950F Firmware on a g950N device will lead to a not booting phone.

Also, no. Your CSC won't change when inserting a different SIM.
As to the third question, I can't answer.
But if you would be willing to void your warranty, you of course can change the csc to a spain one, get all the spain carrier bloatware and can deactivate the shutter sound.
voLTE ISSUE
I am facing a similar problem.
i bought a galaxy s8 (SM-G950n) from south korea. But here, in india, i can't use voLTE. i can use LTE and other band at ease except voLTE. Then googled and found that indian csc code installation may help. But the problem is that the phone i have is single sim and the indian model has dual sim. If i flash the indian stock rom will it brick? If it bricks i can't gp back to south korea to resolve that. i contacted the korean samsung service but their help didn't work.
Give me a strong solution.
