What software is currently on your phone?
Dial *#1234# and show results.
Sounds like you are trying to downgrade your bootloader from a newer version which isn't allowed.

You can not downgrade the bootloader components and you might not be able to write certain segments of the firmware that have been signed with a security key that is now blacklisted in the new bootloader.
Since you already have knox 0x1 you might want to look into installing (from a custom recovery) a custom ROM based on the version that you want - for instance a version that is deodexed and rooted might work. But pay attention to the other similar threads around, eventually ask in the exact thread where you find the ROM.

hi,
I have a Samsung I9505 running
(*#1234*)
AP: i9505XXUAME2
CP: I9505XXUAME2
CSC: I9505OXXAMDB
and according to "CSC Changer" I get that the CSC is NEE.
From reading various threads NEE is "Finland" but I bough my phone in Sweden!? doesn't matter much I guess but still ...
As I've rooted this phone and for some reason it wont allow OTA update as it thinks it is "custom" even tho running "Triangle Away" that says flash counter is 0 and Official and download mode saying it's Official.
Well ether way
The question I have is, can I use pre-rooted firmware with the correct CFC file ? or should I run the official firmware for the NEE (Finland) region and re-root it with CF-Root ?
I have tried searching though the various threads but can't find a clear response to this.
Happy for reponds.

NEE is product code for Nordic Countries.
did you make the wipe after flashing?
connect to Kies and tells what about firmware.
if nothing, reflash firmware

Yes, that is what is was from the begining so I thought it would be best to continue on that path.
I have not wiped anything except dalvik, yet ?
I'll Kies when I get to a comp with that installed.

Hoped to bypass factory reset .. such a hassle to reinstall/restore everything.
Can't I just reflash CSC and nothing else ?

Well were using Mobile Odin to flash the firmware so gonna try do a normal odin flash on the CSC alone and see if that fixes the issue.
Nothing seem to be malfunctioning but still annoying ..
Will see what happens after flashing CSC with Odin.
Just a question - is it possible to flash only the CSC with Heimdal ? not familiar with Heimdal but I do prefer running stuff from linux..
found no reason to do a new post so this is my result.
After flashing the same FW as CSC I got back my CSC code but it appears to have flashed everything, system-recovery-hidden and so forth.
Got a new issue though... mobile odin no longer recongizes my device.. oh well.. close enough
So after re-rooting, re-flashing recovery and triangle away binary count I seem to be back in working order with the following as *#1234#
AP: I9505XXUBMF5
CP: I9505XXUBMF
CSC: I9505OXXBMF2
and CSC Changer says my current CSC is: NEE

To flash cross regional fimrware you need to change you CSC code.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2491877
Also if you flash MJ3 build then your bootloader will be upgraded and you have to stay will MJ3 firmware, you cant then downgrade back to MJ1 firmware

I want to know this as well. I have Malaysian fw on my phone but I want to switch to BTU. According to what I have read this should work because my current region is XX, however I have seen way too many people getting this ext4 error for me to try it.
Can someone give a definitive answer? I am on MJ3 with a region of XX. Thanks!

CSC code for UK (no carrier) = BTU.
Revision of Android - MJ7, latest version released as of yet...
Not sure about the rest but it appears regional...
Flashed it after running through RDLV but had issues with WIFI and sd card... Flashed extracted modem from MJ6 rom, this sent me into a bootloop. Flashed stock MJ6 rom onto phone and fixed the bootloop but put new bootloaders on. At this point warranty void was 0x0. Tried Kingoapp to root hoping it wouldn't trip counter, it did...
New bootloaders are a mongrel....

Stay away from Kingo/vroot, xda has removed all links and closed the thread. It's full of malware / spyware and will send all personal details to a Chinese Web server.

just follow these from the s4 forum by kaushalls but use odin 3.04 and be patient it may fail for two time but will eventually will do it and run odin in normal mode not administrator mode
Make sure you take a backup via Kies if you need personal files
Download the respective stock ROMS from sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com or see thread on Stock Roms on XDA
Extract zip to get tar.md5
Put device into download mode (Vol down+ Home + Power) and Flash using Odin (PDA option)
Wait till device reboots back into Android after completing the flash and recovery
Once device reboots, do a Factory Reset via back up and reset option
Once device reboots after Factory Reset/recovery, enter the google account info and restore settings and then turn off the device
and restart (go into recovery and see the csc btu being applied if yes then stop here,do factory reset and restart)
after this the next steps are optional
Boot device back into download mode (Vol down+ Home + Power)
Re-flash the same downloaded firmware for a second time via Odin
Once the device reboots after the 2nd flash, your CSC should have changed to the CSC of the ROM you downloaded, and Kies also should show that CSC has changed and it should allow future updates via Kies or OTA
check csc by going to stock recoverry it will show manual mode at the bottom and then show btu csc applied
i am now on xxumdj6
I have a Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900), which is absolutely genuine, but purchased from China, so it is therefore “Region Locked”. I have tried to get this ‘unlocked’ by various companies advertising on Ebay etc, but they are unable to do so. I Downloaded the “Region Lock Away” successfully, and then when I press “Region Unlock”, I am given the message: “Could not locate CSC data! You could try flashing a CSC package to correct this”. So my question obviously is, how do I do this, especially as I am somewhat nervous at anything more involved, (i.e. ‘Rooting’ etc). Any and all help will be appreciated.
The CSC package is inside file cache.img from one Rom.
Look the attach img from N900 (files from Rom to flash by Odin), there are two files cache.img + hidden.img.
Making a Mod csc.tar.md5 whit this two files from one Rom having Your CSC, we can flash it by Odin in csc and we have it installed.
This example attached have only the csc SER from Russia.
Thank you Valente for your reply, it is appreciated, but please could I ask how in simple steps I actually do this.......you are dealing with a 66 year old here!!
My kindest regards,
Bernard
Well, in Portugal the N900 is not sale only N9005 then I only give You some idea. But this isn't so simple.
First You must give me what is Your Rom working. On phone keyboard type *#1234# (may be return) and You have the AP, CP and CSC
Send me this. Then what Your CSC and Carrier/Operator to see from what Rom we must extract the cache.img.
Your N900 must have the 4.3 then the Knox also, it's true? If yes it have the Knox botloader and on Odin sometimes isn't possible to flash for example a csc_version OXX or OXA from UK over one for Chine like ZC, Knox bootloader not permit because region not compatible.
Send me that data to see what is possible. Alright?
PS: You have access root already?

This is not good. Your Model is a SM-N9000 and not a SM-N900. Is a Chinese Model unknown on Sammobile.
See on Settings / General / About Device... You must have Model number SM-N9000. True?
In this case You not have anything on Sammobile to this device.
See here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ write N9000 on white box on top right and You see N9000Q nothing for N9000
Anyway if You write there N900 You see many Rom's for many Countries but not for UK. There aren't UK CSC's for N900.
The Rom is a ZC, You can't flash anything from European XX Rom´s over it. And it have a single csc=CHN not have a Multi CSC (a CSC package). I unknown solve Your problem.
In this case I can't help You, is very difficult. Sorry.

Hey everyone, I really need help.
I've been looking for answers for a long time and found nothing, I'm getting desperate.
I have a SM-N9005 with COO as original CSC code (Colombia)
CSC Version : N9005UUBBMI1
PDA version : N9005VJUBMI7
Baseband version: N9005VJUBMI6
Android 4.3. Knox 0x0
I don't want to trip knox and I don't really need to root I just want to update. However if I can root without loosing warranty and knox 0x1 I could try,
I want to update my Android but Colombia doesn't go anywhere beyond 4.3 so my questions are.
-Can I download a KitKat firmware from another country from SamMobile and install it using odin?
-What country should I use?
-Do I have to wipe all my data?
-Will Knox trip?
-Should I go with 5.0 Lollipop or stick with Kitkat and wait?
-Bluetooth and Wifi will be fine?
-Where can I do all of this if it is possible?
I know they're a lot of questions, but if you can answer them you would save me a lot of time and pain.
Thanks.

UUB is a multi-CSC firmware, it includes COO (Colombia) and CHO (Chile).
Open Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser', enter UUB into the CSC textbox and tap Go button to search, you will see that there is 4.4.2 firmware on the top of the list (N9005VJUFNG3). You can download that firmware and flash via Odin.
All things should be fine. No need to wipe anything. No data will be lost. Knox counter will be safe.
Hello
Since the release of kitkat I haven't been able to able update my device and I still have 4.3 version of android on my Note 3 SM-N9005.
Whenever I check for updates it says I have the latest and with kies it says the same thing or says SM-N9005 won't initialize. I heard that I can update manually with odin but I had some questions and fears:
First of all will flashing with odin trigger my knox counter and make it 0x1? I have the Knox app too and working with it keeping my secret information in it.
The other and the most important problem I have is that which frimware should I download? my baseband version is XXUBMI6, and my region (which I checked it from /system/csc/sales_code.dat) is XSI. I am a bit confused with all this stuff and don't know what to do
Thanks in advance for your help please tell me what to do.

1. Flashing the correct firmware for your device via ODIN DON'T trig KNOX counter. Be relaxed.
2. One of the best method for know your CSC (code of country) is rebooting in STOCK RECOVERY and look close the text: "Applied the CSC-code: XXX" like in the pic attached.
