Hi guys anyone else is having an issue with using quick glance? For some time whenever I move my hand over the phone instead of quick glance the local screen starts.

Hey guys,
I found out something new yesterday; when you click a notification toggle for a 'long' time it opens the according settingsmenu.
I thought I might share this with you guys as I imagine there are people that don't know about this yet, as was the case with me!

It is an awesome feature, I only found out when someone on the Nexus 4 forums was talking about features they missed from the S3.

I know right, I love how this device can keep amazing me, once in a while. Never had that with any other phones I had.
Also: bump for the people that don't know this cool little trick -yet.
I like this too. New since jb update, and a good one. My favorite feature though is when you slide your finger across the indicator dots at the bottom of the home screen to quickly scroll through the home screens.

Got my shiny s4 the other day, all working well.
Now I did get an ota yesterday, don't know if this has anything to do with my issue.
The first day I could pull down the notifications area with two fingers to get all the quick settings.
Then there was all twenty or so toggles.
Now it's just the 7 basic ones.
And I can't add more from the settings, unless there is some hidden menus...
Any help appreciated! XXUEMA2

it's smearing because whenever you see black on the phone the pixels are completely off, so when you swiped quickly in app drawers it's the phone not being able to turn on the pixels on quick enough so you see smearing.
Thanks for the reply. But is it software or hardware problem

Hello
I have a simple question.
I might be wrong, but im writing this because i dont think i noticed it before.
In the stock video player app, when you press the volume keys while playing a video, where on the screen does the volume slider pop up show up?
For me, it shows up in the very bottom of the screen in the middle. In both horizontal and vertical views.
Is this normal? Because i could sware remembering it being in the top-middle portion of the screen...
Can anyone go and check in the stock video player and see where your slider pops up?
Thx in advance..

So playing around with some night vision goggles I discovered the proximity sensor turns on when the screen turns off. I tried a phone call and discovered the flash pattern was the same. I played around with the settings but could find nothing that could explain this (on my s4 quick glance the culprit). Does anyone know why this is happening?

Possibly related to the feature where our will answer a call if you place the phone to your face

Wouldn't it start looking for your face only when a call is coming through?

The sensor stays on to prevent knock-on from working in your pocket. If it detects that the phone is in an enclosed space, it will not knock-on.
