I recently got a Fitbit Force as a gift and noticed that it uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) to pair with your phone. I tried from my Razr M running the CM11 20131228 nightly and it doesn't find it.
Anyone know if there is a way to get this to work?
Does BLE run on the CM10.2 20131102 Snapshot build or any other roms?
Bluetooth BLE is not supported in CM releases it seems, my Tab didn't have any issues finding BLE devices on stock ROMS only CM releases
If you go to Apps/All & scroll drown, your find org.codeaurora.bluetooth ,
maybe you could raise the question here: https://www.codeaurora.org/forums/bluetooth

MY biggest problem with 4.2 is the totally borked Bluetooth audio (only on N7, not on N4 strangly). It's because Google prematurely jumped to broadcom Bluetooth stack from Bluez.
Is there a way to switch back? I know I can run 4.1.2 stock, but I would prefer to keep 4.2, if there was a kernel that used Bluez. (or is the Bluetooth userspace?)
Hello
I have an I9505 (jfltexx) I use with a MOGA bluetooth controller.
It never works properly with CM (tried 10.1, 10.2 and plenty of different experimentals) and they all lose the connection with the controller after about 2 mins of use. With a untouched GE rom the controller works fine, and bluetooth heaphones work 100% using CM.
Is it possible to take the drivers (right word?) from the stock GE roms and merge them with CM? Thanks for your patience here, I'm not a hugely technical user
Thank you
Hi,
I have been searching around the interwebs for a 4.3 ROM for jfltexx, but i can't seem to find any that lets me create application for LE. I have tried the latest cyanogenmod and slimbean ROMs (failes the hasSystemFeature check), and also looked around for any mentions on this subject. From what i have found i can't see that anyone has confirmed BLE support on their ROM. I might have missed something though, so does anyone know how i can BLE functioning on my Galaxy 4?
Much appreciated, Henrik

Edit:
Forgot to say that i can detect BLE devices with the bluetooth scan in settings, and pair with them. Only application fail the BLE check.

For me, it's even worse. BT LE devices can not be detected with my i9500.
As far as I learned, Android failed to deliver proper BT-stacks. Not sure if any developer cares about this. I didnt see any development in any forum
With "BLE Heart Rate Monitor" from play store, I can connect my heartrate belt with BT LE. But my fitness apps can not connect with it. It seems that they use the improper original Android BT-stack (afaik)
Is the Razr limited by a hardware chipset for the implementation of the new Bluetooth 4.0 BLE with the new Android 4.3 ROM or is it a software defined radio? Has anyone been able to get a BLE device to work successfully on it? I'm looking to add the Polar H7 bluetooth strap to my razr.
Hi I have searched for answers but am stumped now.
I am using Google Play Edition 06-08-2014 by Danvdh and I love the rom but when using the phone in my 2011 Mercedes Benz the phone was randomly rebooting on the 4.4.2 rom.
After updating to 4.4.3 rom the bluetooth connection drops out sometimes when trying to make or receive a call, it eventually reconnects but it is very frustrating. I am even considering moving back to my iphone if I can't sort this one out.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
The first paragraph of the rom you are using:
This is the latest build for the I9505-G Google Edition S4 official from Google/Samsung, I have made quite a few optimizations to the ROM and added the tools necessary to give it the features (100% working features that is) of an AOSP ROM, Google edition does not use open source proprietary which mean's Bluetooth, and most importantly the camera will work way better out of the box since Samsung builds this ROM (Full HDR support, 1080p video recording, no green lines on the front cam).
I don't think there is much you can do. Maybe a different kernel would work, but I doubt it.
If you want working bluetooth you should flash an TW based rom.
