I spent 3 days figuring out how to root this phone (finally found a motochopper 1.1.2 and flashed the old boot image), now i cant get the bootloader to unlock.
ive tried installing the motopocalypse via the droid razr m utility 1.20, it just tells me to reboot and press the button again.
and i tried the via usb method from the cyanogen wiki which gave me this

No unlock for you. If you are with vzw ask for a pre may build. They have lots.

What do these commands do? Does the output from other the users help you in unlocking our bootloader or getting us one step closer to rooting? I have been playing around trying to gain root, but I have not had any luck. Thanks.

You can try to put them in the Motorola Unlock My Device page but I don't think it will work.
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a
EDIT: Nevermind. Like I thought retail doesn't work.
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader on my RAZR M to install CWM and CM11, and have hit a roadblock. I wonder if some generous soul here might either point out what I am doing wrong or confirm my suspicion that what I'm trying to do is not actually possible. Here's what I've done so far:
The root went fine - I used towelroot and confirmed with Root Checker.
Then I ran motopocalypse as a .apk on the phone to try and unlock the bootloader. Rebooted as per the on-screen prompts' instructions. Then tried to flash CWM Recovery via fastboot and found that the unlock had not been successful. Due to the failed flash, the phone would then automatically boot into fastboot mode. I could get out of it by restarting and using the boot menu, but that was annoying, so I performed a fastboot recovery using DROID RAZR M Utility v1.10.
This fixed the issue wherein the phone always booted to fastboot. Root access confirmed again with Root Checker.
I then re-attempted the bootloader unlock using motopocalypse's shell script for OS X. It connected to the phone, did its thing, then rebooted it into fastboot mode, which showed my bootloader was still locked. Here is the log:
Code:

.78 can't be unlocked. You will need to update to kitkat to unlock.
You can't unlock that system version. You'll need to update to 4.4, re-root, then unlock. There's a guide for this somewhere in here.

Many thanks for the link. Forgive my noobness, but before I flash this I must ask:
Am I correct in assuming that because this is a stock ROM, the locked bootloader will not give me problems while flashing it?
If this is to be flashed with fastboot, which partition do I specify?
Look for rsd lite and flash 4.4.2 with that... Then do what you did before towel root and motopocalypse....n I'll grab the link for the recovery
Edit... Here is the recovery for our device

1. Being official firmware, it shouldn't give you any problems. I've flashed it twice and haven't had any problems.
2. Use RSD Lite to flash it.
Hi i have a Droid Razr M from Verizon model XT907. I was able to root with towelroot then installed SuperSu and then i tried to install CMW but though the PlayStore App but it said CMW was not officially compatible since my phone did not show up on the list. So i proceeded to try to install the latest build of TWRP thought Flashy download list. When i rebooted it got a the follower error msg that posted on the picture attachment. Then i figured out it must be the bootloader is locked to i proceeded to download Droid Razr M Utility 1.20 then i reflashed the official 4.1.2 rom with radios and all and then i proceeded to root using the utility and all this is being done a Mac using OS X 10.10 Yosemite in terminal. After that i tried option 6 to unlock bootloader but i did nothing so i looked for another fix and i found Moto-Pocalypse app that is the latest method to unlock bootloader i ran the app and it said to restart and run it again to see if it work and it did nothing kept saying reboot re run to see if it works. So then i found a the MotoPocalypse pc tool that i ran in terminal and ran it. this is the report i got
sh-3.2# cd /Users/Jorge_Cobos/Desktop/motopocalypse
sh-3.2# /Users/Jorge_Cobos/Desktop/motopocalypse/run.sh

I tried to hold both volume up and down to enter this recovery boot menu all options lead to normal reboot or error in the picture
Next step i was thinking of doing was updating by OTA and then trying all the new tools to see if it works but i am a little afraid i might lock it down for good.
I am sure i am doing something wrong can someone please help me. This is not my main phone i am doing this for fun and to learn.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
P.S i did include some of the tools i am using
Google rsd lite and use it to flash the official 4.4.2 stock... then root that with towel root... Find the motopocalypse.apk file install that use it to unlock the boot loader then you should only use these recoveries ... Please search and read things regarding what you are wanting/attempting prior to trying it you may not have bricked it this time but if your not careful you could one day... I'm not saying that to be mean or rude I'm just saying do your research every device is different... If you encounter any errors post them here and we'll assist you
We cannot teach people anything; we can only help them discover it within themselves.
Since he stated he's on a Mac.... Look up house of moto it'll do the same as rsd lite but it's a bit more complicated do read the directions throughly.... Then read them again.... And once for good luck.
Thanks I read that but... My brain was being lazy yesterday and it did not compute...

You can't unlock it on the .15 bootloader. This has been posted a ton in this forum. I'm shocked root happened, you may luck out and a new unlock will be found but don't get your hopes up

OK, thanks for the heads up. I found a ton of recent posts about how to unlock the .15 bootloader. There are also plenty of posts about how to root .15 such as the one above. But I'll wait. Hopefully since new root is out, there will be work on the bootloader. Thank you!
