[Q] VZW LG G2 VS980 Freezing/Rebooting on Wake - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My VZW LG G2 is running CM11 nightlies (2013-12-23 at the moment), and have had this issue where the phone will freeze and reboot when I try to wake. It is random and does not matter which way I try to wake (knock knock or power button). The phone will get moody, freeze for about 10 seconds and reboot. I wouldn't mind this that much if this was a recognized error in the nightlies and was being worked on, but I have yet to find one topic addressing this issue. Is it just me???

Known issue... When everyone is talking about the SODs on the nightlies they are refering to this issue I believe.

OK awesome! For future reference, where can I find these topics?? I tried looking for this before I posted..

[Q] Phone freezes

Okay, so I just rooted my HTC Aria with the latest nightly build of froyo. Well, the problem is sometimes when I lock my phone, I'll pick it up and press the power button to turn the screen on and I won't be able to enter my password because the touch screen is unresponsive. After about 30 seconds or so it will become responsive again. Anyone else have this problem and/or know what's causing it?

a lot of people are having this issue, its a known issue. attn1 says that the 8/13 nightly build has a kernel upgrade to potentially solve this issue

[Q] Random Shutdowns Post OTA

So i bought my G2 three days after launch and had none of the common issues until about a week before the OTA. I started experiencing the shutdowns at random and it slowly got more frequent (4 times a day). The OTA hit and i didnt have another shutdown for a week. Then one. Then two about three days later. Now its back to an everyday thing. Is there something i can do to fix it. Im not rooted and im not using any weird widgets or apps.
Is it rebooting or just shutting down and you have to press the power button to turn it back on? If its just shutting down and not rebooting then I think you might have a loose battery.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 running Cyanogenmod.
Well, i hit the power button to wake up the screen and i get nothing. After a few seconds the white screen with the htc logo appears and the phone boots. I assume its shutdown cause it acts like its off. If it was a loose battery why would the OTA slow it down for a bit?
After the OTA (that was supposed to fix the random reboots/shutdowns), I had the same thing. About a week of none, and then they started again. Since I've perm-rooted, installed the BaconBits kernel and messed around with some Sense ROMs. Not one shutdown. I think T-Mobile's ROM build(s) for this phone just suck and that's the problem. Only on stock have I had the issue.
Yea I'm Experiencing the same issue. I Upgrade the OTA about three weeks ago and now out of know where it randomly turns off it doesn't shut OFF , it just turns off and then i have to take the battery out and reboot it all over again? Any Suggestions?

N7 stuck/won't wake up

Hey guys,
I did some searching around the web regarding the issue with my N7 and couldn't find anything, so my apologizes if this has been asked before.
The issue I am having is, when my N7 has been sleeping for a while, (on or off charger) it will get "stuck". It won't wake up when I push the power button (or at least the screen won't illuminate). I can hard reset it by holding power+volup+voldown but that gets kinda irritating when I just want to quickly use it and put it away.
It doesn't appear to be causing a battery drain, it's almost like it's a sleep and just won't wake up. I am currently using CNA 3.6.6 with the latest franco kernel. I do not have a case at the moment (it's in the mail). I will be attempting a different ROM tonight to see if it retains the problem.
I have a Galaxy Nexus and sometimes it will fail to accept touch input, but the power/volume buttons have always still worked.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Can't find the delete button, but found a similar posting here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32819135#post32819135
Try disabling auto-brightness and see if that stops the problem recurring.

Thanks
I saw that in the previous post, it appears to have worked. Any idea if there is as fix in the works?

Find Random reboot cause on unrooted g2?

My Sprint g2 started randomly rebooting when I turn the screen on through button or knock on.
All I know is that it reboots to the sprint boot screen twice, on the second time the phone starts normally.
It doesn't occur on every screen turn on, just randomly.
I am unable to replicate the reboots since they don't always happen.
How can I diagnose the cause without root?

My problem was caused by a signal monitoring app called SignalCheck.
I uninstalled it and haven't had a reboot since.
Try uninstalling any new apps that you installed around the time that the reboots started.

[Q] LG G2 Touch Screen Frozen on Unlock

I am currently running the latest nightly CM11 on my AT&T LG G2 and have been experiencing this issue for about 2 months now. Several times each day, when I go to unlock my phone it will be frozen. i can see the screen but cannot touch anything on it. This issue I thought may have been a glitch with the lock screen I was using (stock slide to unlock) so I disabled it and still have this issue. I have spent about an hour researching the issue but have not found anyone else complaining of this (or I am using the wrong search terms). Thanks in advance everyone!
Same problem with my G3, Not sure that will work with your ROM
But try
open dialer
press 3845#* INSERT THREE DIGETS OF YOUR MODEL NUMBER THE PRESS #, for example, I am the F400K, so 3845#*400#
settings
update touch firmware
wait 10 sec
reboot
It may or may not help

First off, thanks for the reply. I tried that with an 800 (for my d800 lg g2 ) but it says wrong MMI code. Thanks for the suggestion tho.
Same issue
I have almost the exact same issue on my Verizon G2. I can get around it by making sure my finger is touching the screen when I turn the screen on. My dialer code to get into the hidden menu doesn't work either. If I go back to a 12B rom it works fine but on any 24A rom I have this issue. Anyone have any other suggestions?
