hello im thinking of getting the LG G2, but have a question about rooting it. Can you install a full custom recover on this phone, because i don't want to by it then be stuck with just root like the verizon galaxy s4 has because of the locked bootloader.

Yes, you can root and No you cannot do any OTA or LG upgrades to it. Because rooting G2 should also be accompanied by installation of custom recovery which doesn't let you do any OTAs or official upgrades.
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I have absolutely no experience with this phone, I only know how to use Odin. I plan on getting the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 and I want to install either clockworkmod or TWRP and install Cyanogenmod 11. If anybody knows how to do that and can give me step-by-step instructions I would greatly appreciate it very much.
Thanks!
You can't. TWRP and clockworkmod don't work and we don't have a root method yet.

If you truly want to do the above, then you need to buy the Google Play Edition S4 which has an unlocked boot loader or perhaps the Sprint version. Verizon & At&t has a locked boot loader. We do have root, recovery, & a plethora of custom roms, but you need to learn how, what & why. This guide has it all.

Read 3 times & flash once! Good luck.
I just received LG G2 802, came with 4.4.2 installed. Now I would like to install a custom rom. What are the procedures should I follow? I know there are many threads around but I am getting confused which come first sequentially, i.e. boot loader unlocking, root, custom rom. Can anyone clarify a bit please?

I know towel root is universal and autorec has a Verizon version. If it messed up your phone, I wouldn't repeat the same thing though, that would be insanity :silly:

I am not a smart man... :silly:
I thought I downloaded the wrong autorec since it didnt have vs980 in it but same thing happened. it installed twrp but destroyed my system partition. LUCKLY I did the smarter thing and made a back up. after some fussing with twrp (making a back up and moving my old back up to the right location) I am back up and running!
:victory:
quick edit: ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO BACK UP AND STORE IT ON YOUR PHONE!
how?
towelroot then autorec. then flash rom zip.
Hello.
So i was going to root my brothers Note 3. Rooted the phone, installed ClockWorkRecovery and downloaded a rom.
So i wiped the phone, installed the rom.zip from ext-sdcard and the aroma installer came up, went through that, then nothing... the phone is stuck on the Note 3 Logo. ClockworkMod is MISSING ??? I cannot access it, cant even access bootloader.. the phone is bricked.
any ideas?

If you're installing on the AT&T Note III, there are some issues with what you're describing, one you can't install CWM on this device. I'm honestly not sure how you got any further
