Does anyone have a tutorial for SuperSu for this device? I have googled but everything seems device/android version specific. I don't want to jack my tablet up.
Thanks in advance!
Do you have anything specific that you have questions about? It's pretty hard to use just superuser to do anything too stupid on it's own.

Yeah I'm a moron, and meant SuperSu.
This thread can be closed. I have figured it out, and have gapps and safestrap installed and working flawlessly.

Hello,i am trying to Root my phone but i had no success due to the lack of any detailed guide for Rooting with Locked BootLoader.(For play)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116090
i downloaded everything the OP has said
But the Flashtool is confusing for me,how do i add a new Device with Properties, drivers,Flashtools etc?
@[email protected] i am so confused, the only thing i have done was delete the X10 firmware and replaced it with the Generic UK one.
Help? Will this also delete everything on my phone?
Yes it will delete everything on your phone.
Do you have a verison phone?
Try what this person did. I didn't use the flash tool.

There is a rogers specific one but I can't find it. It worked for me and I added a few noob tips to it.
Oh thanks man, but question. How do I "flash"? Can you link/explain in detail please?

Edit : I can't root via gingerbreak... So can't use titanium backup...
l2 xda search
tbh if you can't read or search then you probably shouldn't be flashing your phone.
The fact that you have made 2 threads and also asked the same question in other threads is a bit spammy tbh.
Ay sorry bout that. I thought I'd get more help here.

There are backup apps other than titanium, a lot of them don't need root.

Next time you get a solution, make sure you update your posts. Of course this is easier to do when you don't post the same question in multiple threads..

no, you can run cwm without root. go to your bootloader and use fastboot to flash the recovery image to the nexus 7 and then just the bootloader to go to the recovery image. also i am sure there will be someone along in a bit to tell you that you posted in the wrong section. while i really don't care, others do and you are likely not to get much help unless you move your question to the Q&A section. Just a friendly tip.
^^This
when I got my N7, i unlocked the bootloader, flashed cwm, then installed a custom rom that had root access already. I didn't gain root until after I already had CWM running on my N7.
I don't think u can flash cwm without unlocking the bootloader first. but yes, u can have cwm and not root, some actually had this problem lol

Does anybody know a way to get custom recovery on the MF3 build? I've tried too manager and using the terminal emulator with a TWRP image. Neither have worked

1. Its pretty annoying. Questions belong in the questions and answers section, not general.
2. Again, pretty annoying as well with repeating mf3 questions regarding recoveries. Read this thread below:

Enjoy!

Im having issues recompiling. After doing some research I've found that it cant be done on stock system like ours. The OP of that thread may not be rooted, but his modified system must allow for the installation of non-signed apps.
But is there ANY way to install it on my device?
Any one?
