I believe so because 9505 and 1337 have the same hardware configuration. I think you just need to make sure you have the right kernel/modem for your carrier... haven't done it yet though...

Hello I am a newbie when it comes to Android rooting, I have a At&t Samsung Galaxy s4 running 4.22 build MF3 Model i337 can I root? I tried everything but can't seem to get it rooted..

OP, please read up before you proceed. If you don't know what you're doing, I would highly advise against rooting at the moment.

Rooting question

I have a simple question,
I just bought a Samsung galaxy s4 i9505.
If I root this device, will I still be able to receive OTA-updates when they release the 4.3 firmware for this device?

forget about ota updates when rooted.. not recommended to do so..

So when rooted, I first have to reinstall before I can do an OTA update?

Nope, because you're phone will be under 'custom' instead of official.

I understand.
So if I ever want to upgrade to the new firmware I first need to install an official firmware again?

Hi masters.. i have sgh i337 s4 kitkat and i dont know how to root and installing cwm?. I've been searching in the internet but i cant find anything.. I visit the at&t forum here in xda but the tutorial is very risky.. Is there anyway how to root my at&t i337 in easiest way? like what i used to do in my i9505 version?thanks. Im from Philippines

The firmware of my S4 is 4.4.2 and its model is GT-I9505. Im currently running OS X Yosemite.

A galaxy S4 and a Macbook, those things shouldn't be in the same sentence.

Or else you could download an app called Towelroot and root the phone from the phone itself.

That guide is outdated and will not work.
Just use Heimdall to flash cf auto root. I rooted it that way using my mac.
