Here is the link for rooting with MF3
OP, please read up before you proceed. If you don't know what you're doing, I would highly advise against rooting at the moment.
Should be posted in q&a. Next time do little searching before posting

The Omega roms are EXCELLENT, there are two versions of it one for the i9500 series
and the other for the i9505. If you have a i9505 phone do not try flashing the i9500 rom
or you will get a soft brick or worst and if your phone is a i9500 do not flash i9505 roms.
Touchwiz 4.3 roms are still very experimental and you will have many issues with it if you flash it.
You will end up flashing a Samsung Galaxy S 4 Touchwiz 4.2.2 based custom rom.
But it's up to you.
If you don't mind having issues with the phone and if you like experimenting that's a different story.
All in all the Omega 4.2.2 based Jellybean rom is what I would prefer, everything in it works great
and is flawless. It has all the bells and whistles which make the galaxy s4 such a great phone.
Here is the link for the Omega v12 custom rom for the i9505 phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2253528
And here is the link for the Omega v14.1 custom rom for the i9500 phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232887
Be sure to flash the right one for your phone & before flashing make a nandroid backup & be sure to do a full wipe before flashing.
Good luck!
Just to clarify the above comments. If you have an i337/i337m DO NOT try to flash the i9500 international roms. DO NOT...
I am just guessing since you posted in the i337 section this is what you have. Plus if you wait a bit I read VisionX (Ax) is gonna put out a 4.3 rom today for the i337.
EDITED to remove my brainfart...

If you have a i747 you are in the wrong forum for downloading roms.
None of the Samsung Galaxy S4 roms will work with a Samsung i747 phone.
The i747 phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone which means that none of the roms
found in any of the Samsung Galaxy S4 forums or threads would be compatible with it.
So in other words my original post has nothing to do with a Galaxy S3 i747 phone.
The i9500 and or the i9505 roms will work with your i747 phone.
All questions regarding Galaxy S3 i747 belong in the Galaxy S3 forums and threads.
Good luck!
Sorry I knew what I was saying and MEANT i337. I was just in the i747 thread and must have had my old S3 on my brain... Old Mans brainfart.
So to reiterate if you have a i337/m do NOT flash the international i9500 as it will probabky brick your device. You shoukd be able to flash the i9505 international though. Or like I was trying to say Ax from the i337 forum is going to be posting a 4.3 international i9505 based rom today. Sorry for the mixup from above but it still stands... DO NOT flash the exyernos model i9500 firmware... period. You may be okay with i9505
I edited the above comments so it doesnt give out wrong info to future readers. I replaced my brain farted i747 comments baxk to where my brain should have been thinking to i337

So to be very clear. As a user stuck with mf3, root obtained, and running safestrap I can use the new i9505 based 4.3 tw rom axman is about to release? The fact that its based on the mj5 only denotes that it is for the i9505 correct?

Hey fellow XDA members, I have been searching for a way to
root and install a custom recovery on my I337M, but am slightly
confused about this phone, and I don't wanna screw it up.
First off I am on 4.3 - MVLUEMK6. I also have the Knox app.
Am I able to Root using a certain method? I tried Saferoot, but that was a
no go. I have also heard through my searches of "Kingo", which
I'm hoping to try, given it won't turn this S4 into a brick.
Also in the CF-Auto Root Thread, it states near the Downloads,
that AT&T users shouldn't use it, and go figure I'm on Telus. So also a no go..
Can this darn thing be rooted?!?

Thanks very much my good sir, I appreciate your insight on this!
the I337M (jfltecan) is NOT the same as the I337 (jflteatt)
i use a I337M (originally bell), cf auto root works perfect
your phone is the same as mine, use cf auto root and flash via odin on pc, it'll work

if there is anyone who can help me root my phone, ill give you any info that you need from my phone,
thanks !
There is no direct root method for KitKat. So, you have to do a partial downgrade to MK2(4.3), root and then install a pre-rooted KitKat ROM.

Let me know if you need more info

Hi all, I am fairly new to this whole rooting process for android devices, since i have just recently purchased a galaxy s4 from at&t. Just a few days ago, i've decided to root my device, and after hours of researching i came across geohot's towelroot program and successfully rooted my GS4!. Now i want to install a custom rom, and i would like to know what kind of custom recovery can i use? and am i able to install the cyanogenmod 11? I have downloaded the cyanogenmod installer and it says my device is not supported, but i read on their wiki that i can install it manually but i don't know if my current build is supported by Clockworkmod, or even TWRP for that matter. I havn't flashed any roms by the way and i don't plan on doing so until i am almost certain that i can flash it without bricking.
I am running kitkat 4.4.2 Samsung SGH-I337, my baseband/build number is I337UCUFNC1
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!
We have a locked bootloader. So, stock kernel and recovery cannot be replaced. The only recovery we have is safestrap.

Ahh that sucks thanks for the info. Hopefully they will find a way to unlock it in the future so I can install the cyanogenmod.
