what am i doing wrong ?
Once on mf9/mk2 you can't flash back/downgrade due to knox bootloader from my understanding. Search forums to be sure.

1. There's an edit button you can use to modify posts instead of double, triple, quadruple posting.
2. You took the OTA therefor you can't flash anything due to the locked bootloader.

I gave you an affirmative answer. The bootloader is locked therefor you cannot flash a ROM OR even root because it won't let you. If there WAS a way then you wouldn't be asking.

Yes. If you're on MDL or lower then you're not on the latest. Latest is MF3.
Yeah I'm having the same problem. For some reason, on the phone that I replaced the one I bricked with, I'm on MDL but it doesn't find MF3 when I look for software update.

I think you just have to install the MDC modem not the entire firmware. Go to the all sprint firmware post and install the mdc modem. Follow the unlocking steps and then you can go back to the MK2 modem after unlock.

As of now you can't downgrade the modem on mk2 or mja if you took an OTA update to get there. If you flashed your way there and kept mf9 you can downgrade easily.

I am trying to downgrade an AT&T S4 so that i can factory unlock it.
I downloaded Samsung-Updates.com-SGH-I337-ATT-I337UCUAMDL-1367050591 from a couple different mirrors and they're all corrupt so I don't even know if this version works.
edit: I guess ..What's the latest firmware the *#0011# trick will work on?
Or is this even possible? It has UCUAMF3 installed
(And I have read up on MF3 and still don't understand if this is possible.)
Thanks in advance for any help! I have already been googling for a couple days.

[Q] OTA update after root on Stock? (SM-G900T) "Device was modified in an unauthorize
Just ran the root guide posted by Chainfire and it worked like a dream. I now have a rooted phone on TouchWiz like I wanted. Unfortunately, there is also an update for the phone available which refuses to install giving me the "Device was modified in an unauthorized way" error. Is there a way to get around this problem while remaining on stock? Or am I now left with relying on custom ROMs to get updated versions of Android?
No, you can download firmwares from wherever (eg Sammobile) and flash via ODIN. You may have to re-root.
keep in mind if you update it will lock your bootloader since these phones came with unlocked bootloaders. no way in hell am i stupid enough to let them lock my bootloader.

I'm on the same situation, just got my phone from AT&T (SGH-i337) with 4.4.2, now on baseband NC1, I would like to root the phone and it seems the only way is downgrading to NB1 and then downgrade again to MK2.
But I'm not so sure if it's safe to flash the roms having a SIM lock on my phone, is it necessary to unlock it before trying to flash?
Another noob question, a locked bootloader means I can't get CWM, but can I still install custom roms installable through Odin?
Sorry, No custom ROM's for locked bootloaders.

Sim Locking only restricts your phone to a particular carrier, it wouldn't interfere with a custom rom, as long as said rom was built for your carrier.
