I'm searching for a flashable 4.4.2 stock rom in zip format. I need it to be flashable from twrp, as I'm currently using PA 3.99 RC2 and i'd like to test the new android version.
I tried searching here and in other forums with no success, but i'm sure I've seen it.
Can anyone point me to it?.
Thanks.
I haven't seen a completely flashable stock rom yet but, if you want a stock experience, you could flash a number of custom roms that are based on the stock OS.
If you want to be completely stock, you could flash the stock occam image via fastboot.
Try this link.

I have a KF1 firmware which is stock. Now i want to install custom ROM using ROM Manager on MY SGS2. But then I want to use KJ3 custom ROM. Is it possible? Because when I try installing it using CWM on recovery mode and ROM Manager, it is simply not working.
I hope someone could me out here.
Thanks
Is your phone rooted? If not you may need to do a bit of research on how to flash custom kernels and how to use Odin. Its not hard to do, but it very easy to stuff the phone if not done properly.
I have rooted my phone using custom kernel. I use CF-root.
But my Firmware is still kF1. I am now trying to update it to 3.3.5 using odin.
how were you trying to flash the custom rom? Just need to see if your missing a step
Guys, thanks...
I have read bunch of new ideas here.
Currently I am using stock KI3 and want to use the Kitchen Room Ki3 which is Deodexed Rom to install some good themes.
I am right on these?
Odexed = stock rom
deodexed = custom rom?
Not exactly. We have some custom odexed ROMs too ;-) But, you will never see stock deodexed ROM for sure.

I had cm 10.1.2 earlier.
I installed the stock 4.3 via flash-all.bat. installed TWRP 2.6.0 again and rooted (supersu 1.43).
if I want to go back to some custom 4.2.2 rom, do I need to flash stock 4.2.2 again (to get the old radio) and then only flash custom rom?
will it work if i simply flash a 4.2.2. custom rom via TWRP?
thanks.

all you have to do is flash a custom rom in recovery... all you had to do to update was flash a stock rooted 4.3 as well. Just as an fyi for future reference
everything is flashable radios bootloader roms.... Just read up before doing anything all your questions and answers can generally be found in the stickies
Thanks for fast reply.
I guess I wanted to know whether a ROM and radio go together. Since I already have new radio from 4.3, will it work if I simply flash a 4.2.2 ROM.
I guess I should have read more here. Thanks.

Hi everyone
I'm actually using a 4.2.2 AOKP android version on my Nexus 4 but i'm willing to change for the incomming 4.4 Kitkat version so I've got a few question about it
First, what will I have to do, will I have to reflash the whole thing through the TWRP recovery ? Will my bootloader be re locked so that I wouldn't be able to reflash a nandroid backup in the future ? Will my phone be rooted or will I have to wait for someone to find a hack ?
Secondly, there are still some features I really enjoy in AOKP and I wanted to know if you'd know a way to keep it on stock version ? For exemple like the fact that I can switch my finger through the statusbar to change the brightness, or the custom panel on the status bar
Thanks in advance foryour answers

Yes you have to flash 4.4 through recovery or with your computer. Bootloader won't be re locked. If you flash 4.4 stock factory image your phone won't be rooted but you can root it with a flashable zip in recovery. And you can't keep AOKP features in a stock rom but maybe you can found a zip mod.

Ok I re up this thread as I just tried to flash the stock 4.3 using the .tar file that we can do load on the official Nexus factory images page. But when I tried to flash it through the Nexus Root Toolkit, it told me that there weren't any boot file or something like that... (I'll do it again to have this message straight)
Any idea?

Hi Guys,
So I tried the new stock Kitkat firmware for my d802. Flashed the KDZ through support tool. I lost root as expected.
Then I started to miss root and control over my phone, so I wanted to go back to Jellybean.
After some difficulties I got the support tool working in offline mode. Flashed Jellybean stock KDZ.
Rooted the phone again and installed recovery.
Converted the stock KitKat rom to a flashable zip, and copied it to SD card.
I flashed the zip and all went fine.
Anyhow, when I wanted to return to recovery it did a factory reset instead, and now I can start all over.
Do we have a solution to this problem?
Thanks.

We are waiting for LG to release KitKat kernel sources for D802 before a solution can be made, but it does require you to go back to JB again and then flash a KitKat rom with the modified kernel in order to keep your custom recovery

Thanks. I thought that if it was a flashable zip, I could always return to custom recovery, but of course it is the content of the file that needs to be modified. I'll wait.

it would not be just a modified kernel it would be an entirely modified zip with parts from 4.2.2 and 4.4.2 so that it can support custom recovery like in jb but be able to boot into kk in fact the only reason we need the kernel source is because we have to add some lines so it can allow jb and kk partiotions to work together

D802 kit Kat kernel source just came out a few hours ago so soon you guys should see a stock kk Rom with root and recovery support

Can't wait to see that. Is there any downsides to this method or is all working well with this work around?

I have been using it but for att and have not experienced any troubles and I also know of a few people who have already flashed roms whitput trouble also it seems like the g pro 2 rom might be the first to seeing custom recovery on d802 since someone there already made a patch but has not tested it yet and thus has not released it yet
Hello guys. I need an advice pls.
I flashed a galaxy s4 i9500 (international) with sokp Rom. (Aosp based 4.4 Rom)
Now I want to flash a pure stock 4.4 Rom. Which I never had on my device. I started with custom Roms from 4.2.2, moved to 4.3 and then the custom Sokp Rom. So I need words of advice.
Is there a flashable latest stock rom which I can flash in twrp? If yes, are the steps the same as flashing custom Rom?
Where can I get a link if such?
Thanks in advance.

You can flash through odin a stock rom from sammobile or a custom rom generated from stock from xda where you can flash the zip file you pput on the microsd card for i.e. with recovery. But original stock rom which might be used to restore original condition (for warranty reasons for i.e.) should be flashed with odin or kies.
