Custom Rom on Samsung I9100 kf1 - Galaxy S II General

I have a KF1 firmware which is stock. Now i want to install custom ROM using ROM Manager on MY SGS2. But then I want to use KJ3 custom ROM. Is it possible? Because when I try installing it using CWM on recovery mode and ROM Manager, it is simply not working.
I hope someone could me out here.
Thanks

Is your phone rooted? If not you may need to do a bit of research on how to flash custom kernels and how to use Odin. Its not hard to do, but it very easy to stuff the phone if not done properly.

I have rooted my phone using custom kernel. I use CF-root.
But my Firmware is still kF1. I am now trying to update it to 3.3.5 using odin.

how were you trying to flash the custom rom? Just need to see if your missing a step

Guys, thanks...
I have read bunch of new ideas here.
Currently I am using stock KI3 and want to use the Kitchen Room Ki3 which is Deodexed Rom to install some good themes.
I am right on these?
Odexed = stock rom
deodexed = custom rom?

Not exactly. We have some custom odexed ROMs too ;-) But, you will never see stock deodexed ROM for sure.

How to flash rom on a tablet?

I'm coming from Galaxy S2, and flashing the rom is very easy via Odin. I want to flash the Task650's KME V5 rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227800).
Is it possible to flash that rom via odin? Please let me know. Many thanks in advance!
No. You have to flash the ROMs from cwm recovery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171089
Get FilesForDummies.zip, flash recovery-cwm_4.0.0.4-sam-tab-10.1.tar.md5 via Odin, put the ROM .zip on your tab, flash the ROM you like from cwm.
how can i root the stock rom then? I want to freeze some useless things

It is not recommended to flash any 3rd party ROM on the Galaxy Tab 10. There are currently no stable or reliable ROMs that can match the stock ROM.

[Q] WHats is Deodexed EI22 rom?

hi im tring to download honeycomb explosion but it says its for deodexed e122 rom in the video. I dont know what that is? i have a rooted 2.3.5. with super user permisions. with CWM5 and thats it everything else is stock. so what is a DEODEXED EI22 ROm.
also if i install this theme how do i get it back to stock sansung gingerbread if i wanted to.?? thanx
A simple google of this will give you an answer on that. But easy answer is most custom ROMs are deodexed for ease of modding and stock is Odexed. You should run a nandroid backup of your system, flash a custom ROM then flash your theme. You don't like it then restore your backup.

This is stock deodexed, think this is what you're looking for.

how do i deodex my rom?

i want to deodex my rom on s4 4g model, how can i do this is there a tool to do this? the galaxy s4 toolkit only allows you to reodex but not deodex
can anyone provide me with a way of doing this? i have the latest official firmware and it is rooted
Just flash a deodexed rom. It's easier. There are roms that don't wipe.

As mentioned above. Easiest way.
if i flash a deodexed rom over my odexed rom, will this be ok? the firmware is exactly the same though
how will this if at all affect the phone?
It won't affect anything but the odexed apps that will be replaced with deodexed ones. Don't forget to backup your rom via rom manager or from recovery mode.
And btw it all depends on the rom you want to flash. Cuz some roms don't have bloatware or Google apps installed.

I think that changing from a odexed rom to a deodexed rom is recommended to do a full wipe.
Make a backup and wipe, it isn't hard.
Or just go for it, without wiping. If you see any problems, do the wipe (and use the backup I recommend doing anyway).

Stock Rom

Hello guys. I need an advice pls.
I flashed a galaxy s4 i9500 (international) with sokp Rom. (Aosp based 4.4 Rom)
Now I want to flash a pure stock 4.4 Rom. Which I never had on my device. I started with custom Roms from 4.2.2, moved to 4.3 and then the custom Sokp Rom. So I need words of advice.
Is there a flashable latest stock rom which I can flash in twrp? If yes, are the steps the same as flashing custom Rom?
Where can I get a link if such?
Thanks in advance.

You can flash through odin a stock rom from sammobile or a custom rom generated from stock from xda where you can flash the zip file you pput on the microsd card for i.e. with recovery. But original stock rom which might be used to restore original condition (for warranty reasons for i.e.) should be flashed with odin or kies.

Canadian Note 3 Stock Kernel

Hello everyone so I installed lean kernel on my SM-N900W8 Note 3 and of course I didn't backup the original kernel. So I was wondering if anyone could provide my with a download of the stock SM-N900W8 kernel as I want to go back to it. Thanks in advance!
All of the Samsung stock ROMs are at sammobile.com.

But I want to try to avoid wiping the device totally, or will I be able to install the ROM without fully wiping my device?
You can extract the kernel from the stock rom.
I think it is a good idea to have a copy of the stock rom in case there is a need to flash back to a stock rom.

Would you be able to tell me how to extract it? I already have a copy of the rom.
Edit - Never mind I got it, Thanks for the help!
If lean kernel has aroma installer then there should be a feature of going back to stock kernel If not then:-
Try pekaka kernel where you've feature of aroma installer and there's a step to revert back to stock kernel.
I usually uses same method to revert back to stock. After that keep backup of your kernel

A kernel that has an aroma installer ?
